Tillya-Kori Madrasah is one of the most striking and unique sights of Samarkand, located on Registan Square. Built in the 17th century, it attracts attention with its magnificent decoration, especially the golden elements that adorn its interior and exterior. Translating the name of the madrasah as "Golden Madrasah", the architects chose golden patterns and mosaics as the main feature of this building. These elements create an atmosphere of magic, especially at sunset, when the madrasah literally shines.
The interior of the madrasah is decorated with the most complex ornaments made using gold color, which makes this place not only an architectural masterpiece, but also a real work of art. Mosaics, calligraphy, gold tiles and amazing patterns on the walls — all this creates an atmosphere of oriental luxury and well-being, immersing visitors in the atmosphere of antiquity and grandeur.

Tillya-Kori Madrasah, built in the 17th century, two centuries later than Ulugbek madrasah, harmoniously completes the architectural ensemble of three beautiful madrasahs on Registan Square.
Tillya Kori are turquoise domes sparkling in the sun. This is an abundance of gold in the interior of the central mosque. These are incredibly complex ornaments on the walls and domes.
The madrasa houses a museum that clearly demonstrates the achievements of Soviet and Uzbek restorers, as well as an exhibition and sale of products by real craftsmen of Samarkand.
This is a museum where there are many photos of the old Registan, antique jewelry of extraordinary beauty that I think cannot be seen in other places. The walls and carved doors are beautifully decorated. There are many departments with different souvenirs that the eyes can understand. If you are in Samarkand, you will not regret coming.
A wonderful place for tourists to visit! Both in the afternoon and in the evening-everything is fine!Architecture, blue domes, a huge square and small cozy courtyards inside. There are many shops with ceramics, textiles and other souvenirs!
This is an incredibly beautiful oriental fairy tale. National flavor, colors, living history. Amazingly kind, open people, strict security. It is mandatory to visit.
A very interesting and beautiful place. You can walk both in the afternoon and in the evening. Backlit is especially beautiful.. The whole Registan looks harmonious and very well-adjusted. Wonderful souvenirs inside
The third, the youngest and overlooking Registan Square, is a completed madrasah. It was built on the site of a dilapidated caravanserai of the XV century with partial use of its foundation. During the construction, it was decided to combine it with the juma (i.e. Friday) mosque. In my opinion, the most comfortable of the three.
Great vacation! A beautiful city with its ancient oriental flavor! I cannot put it into words, I recommend that you get on a plane, book a hotel and walk around enjoying the cuisine and hospitality of the city, tourists from all over the world, by the way, languages are heard there!
Being around, relaxing in the shade of a Madrasah, admiring the grandeur, enjoying the peace, contemplating and reflecting-everything is inexpressibly pleasant, exciting and exciting on this journey!
I really liked the place) I managed to visit / compare Tashkent / Bukhara and Samarkand)))) old cities will never lose to modern buildings) both as a construction site and in architecture)
The incomparable atmosphere of that time! I ordered a photo shoot for my wife on the territory of the complex! It's not transferable! It's very beautiful, you can't take such photos anywhere! I recommend it to everyone to visit!
What a beauty there is! Every self-respecting person should definitely visit this place. What a strength of spirit there is. In general, there is something to see and learn in Uzbekistan. If you are planning a vacation. I highly recommend it.
Registon is certainly a miracle... It is very beautiful, they lived not far from this antiquity, looking at mosques and madrassas, you understand how to build it for centuries!
The complex was built in 1660. Tillya Kari used to be the main mosque of the city. The Golden Mosque. It translates from Uzbek as "decorated with gold". Now you can see an exhibition of old photographs of Samarkand from the 30s and assess the scale of the reconstruction, carried out primarily by Soviet restorers.
A great place, but many of the things you saw in the photo are closed because there is a restoration of the second part of the building.you can't walk there (
An atmospheric place.
Inside the mosque, on the right there is a souvenir shop in which a special place is occupied by the works of the author-restorer Zafar. These are miniatures of frescoes of mosques and paintings made with gold leaf and silver.
The place that is worth seeing once instead of reading 100 times. We were in August 2022. There aren't many people, which is a plus, because you don't have to push and wait in line.
It's hard to add anything. It is impossible not to visit here if you are in Samarkand. In the evening, there is a light and music show here - this is, rather, a pop culture phenomenon. Come here with a guide.
