We lived within walking distance. There is a huge market nearby. A functioning madrasah, paid entrance, a dress code, a cozy picturesque courtyard. On the second floor there is a workshop with beautiful souvenirs made of precious woods. If you solve the secret, the master gives you good discounts. Special thanks for the free entrance, when we were allowed into the souvenir shop (on our return to Tashkent) after 7 days to buy a previously liked box. They did not find a better quality and price either in Bukhara or in Samarkand.
I was born in the Ancient city of Samarkand, I often miss its historical places, I come here to feel the atmosphere of Samarkand) it's very cool, you can also buy souvenirs and gifts for friends!
To my surprise, Samarkand has been transformed - the infrastructure for tourists is very developed.
We visited Samarkand in October 2023.
Not far from the train station, we met a guide with a car and a partner with a car.
There were 7 of us and they accompanied us.
They showed us Gur-Emir, Registan Square, Ulugbek Observatory and the Holy Spring of Daniel at the intersection of the Silk Road.
Took us to lunch
The guide was very cheerful and we all had a delicious lunch together.
Difficulties were only with the purchase of tickets for Afrosiab, and in general, a great trip in a fun company 👍
