The hotel left a mixed impression. I was traveling to Europe for the first time and booked accommodation through a travel agency. My requirements were quite simple: I was interested in the level of Moscow 3*. I was sent a list to choose from, and one of the most inexpensive options was this hotel. Yes, a little away from the center, but not so far away. Also 4*, cheaper than 3* options. As a result, I chose this place.
I'll start with the advantages.
1) Location. This is usually indicated in the disadvantages of this hotel... but I was in Budapest in November. The hotel is located near Gellert Hill, and on this hill it is just an incredible autumn. I walked there every day and admired it until my leg started to hurt.
And it's not so bad about the sights either. The Citadel (which is under reconstruction), the Rudash and Gellert baths are relatively close. I also walked to the Buda Fortress. Not that it's very close, but acceptable.
The transport is not bad. My usual routes were to the market area or Vaci Street by bus, where I either walked or took the subway. I was returning from Margate Bridge by tram.
A few stops away is Delhi Railway Station, from where you can go to Sekeshfehervar or Kesthey. There is a direct connection to Keleti train Station (from there I left for Miskolc).
But in fact, there is no such thing as you leaving the hotel - and wow.
2) The condition of the room. I liked the cleanliness. There are no hotels, and they sin by the fact that the stain on the ceiling, then some metal element is rusty, and this is the sin of both 3* (more often) and 4* (less often). But not this one.
Minuses.
1) The bed. This is not a double bed, but two single beds. If you have a sensitive back, it will be hell for you. I was constantly failing at night.
2) Although the hotel is 4*, there are no bathrobes, slippers, or dental cleaning kits in the room. Not a bunch of different bags of shampoo, balm, shower gel - all for one remedy.
3) The restaurant's work schedule is unclear. When I stopped by, they told me that it was not working, but here I did not specify what it meant: it was not working now or not working at all. A couple of days later, in the evening, I saw that the door was open, I asked the employee, she said it was closed. As a result, I still did not understand if it works, but definitely not all the time. There is a good place nearby, but I liked it there during the day when there are few people. This is a beer restaurant, and in the evening, after walking 20-30 km, you want to sit in a slightly more peaceful place.
4) Shower. In addition to saving on consumables, there are a couple more points:
- the design of the shower stall. The cabin is slightly leaking, and the door has come off the rails a couple of times.
- It's cold! In general, the room is cold (November, seer), but if the room itself can be warmed up with air conditioning, then the heat does not reach the bathroom. But perhaps this is not a problem of a specific place.
5) The staff does not speak Russian there. It didn't affect my assessment, but maybe it's important for someone.
Overall, it is a very satisfactory place.
Despite the list of disadvantages, I would put 3.5/5.
They also write about breakfasts, but I didn't take them.
If you think of the hotel as 3* and compare it with other 3*, not 4*, I would probably even put 4/5. But for four stars, of course, it's a little weak.
Not very old, it's time to carry out repairs, located far from the center, were passing by car, parking problem, rooms are small, cleanliness is also a problem. In general, not very much.
