In June 2019, after a preliminary meeting at the company's office and discussing the details of the order, we signed a contract for the design of one specific page of the site (internal page). It was a small test task, and in the future, constant cooperation in support and development was planned.
The payment under the contract has been made. Olga G., the project manager, was appointed, who never discussed the details of the project in the future. Well, apparently all the details were given to her by the sales manager, with whom the project was discussed for a very long time at the very first stage (well, it was BEFORE receiving payment!). About a week later, Olga sent the result of their "work". It was completely different from the page we ordered. The quality of the design they made is a separate issue, largely subjective. But it is completely objective that no one passed the details of the order to either the designer or the project manager. That is, the project manager Olga G. was in charge of the project, the details of which she did not know at all. But that's not all.… Since we considered this task only as a test to check how the company works, and at this stage it has already become absolutely clear HOW it works, we refused further cooperation and terminated the contract, demanding a refund of the entire amount paid. This was followed by long "discussions with the director", ignoring messages and calls - as a result, we were refused a refund. Olga G. agreed that they did not do at all what they should have done, but "... the director said: "Well, we didn't do anything at all!". Mr. Director, if you and your company screwed up, well, have a conscience, admit your mistake, apologize and return what you don't deserve. Save face. After all, you work with entrepreneurs like yourself. Would you really like to receive such a quality of services and such an attitude??
The money for the order was still returned in full ... half a year later ... after our pre-trial claim and the involvement of a lawyer in the case. That is, in the end, the company admitted that it was wrong. However, the unfortunate 100 euros we spent on a lawyer, the company still decided not to return, as required by law and required in the pre-trial claim. The amount is small, but the issue is fundamental and in the future purely technical. The Media Line company will still have to return this money… as well as all subsequent legal costs.
