Kars Ulu Mosque

A mosque that has hosted a big drama. According to rumors, 286 Turkish men were called to the mosque for peace by Armenian Dashnak gangs and ambushed. These people, who had previously filled the mosque floor with flammable substances, sent the geese they had set ablaze inside and closed the door on 286 people. Old stones were used in the reconstruction of the mosque, which is a tomb for all those inside. Some of these stones have traces of human blood and oil left on them.
