I am pleased to share my review of the Mayakovsky Museum in Bagdati.
To be honest, I didn't expect much, but he exceeded all my expectations. The museum is located in a fenced area, divided into a house where the Mayakovsky family lived and a museum with history, photographs and other things.
The entrance is only 5 lari from the nose, and the guide is 20 lari from the company. I strongly advise you to take a guide, a cool man and an interesting story.
In the house, you can touch history, sit on a chair, rock the cradle in which Mayakovsky lay. 😊
I have not seen many of the photos posted in the museum itself on the Internet, which makes them even more valuable and interesting. Posters, brochures, posters and signs can be viewed for hours. I spent a lot of time in this museum and I'm ready to come back again =)
A wonderful house museum. Authentic exhibits, an interesting tour. I've been wanting to go there for a long time and now finally! Not far from Bagdati, in Imereti, my childhood passed too. There is magnificent nature around. It is impossible not to write in such a place!
The museum is free. Rich exposition. The life and work of V. V. Mayakovsky from his earliest childhood to his last days are well covered. It is very informative, despite the change of the social system. Friendly staff.
The Vladimir Mayakovsky House Museum in Baghdadi, Georgia, is a cultural and historical heritage dedicated to the life and work of one of the most famous Russian poets of the 20th century. Baghdadi, Mayakovsky's birthplace, attracts tourists and literary enthusiasts who want to learn more about the poet's early years.
The House Museum is open from 9 to 17. We opened it, we were without a tour, the guide was not in place. It's quite interesting. If you are driving by, you can stop by, going on purpose means you love Mayakovsky's poetry very much. The yard is well maintained.
In July, I was lucky enough to visit the House where one of the brilliant poets of the last century was born. The house has been preserved in its original form, however, as well as those items that belonged to the Mayakovsky family. We had a wonderful tour of the two buildings of the museum. The atmosphere is amazing! The courtyard is extremely well maintained and blooming. Special thanks to the director of the museum, who turned out to be the great-grandson of the owner of the house, who was filmed by the poet's father. I will definitely go back there again and again! I recommend it to everyone who goes to Georgia!!
How happy I am that I was in this museum! On Wednesday, the 130th anniversary of the poet's birth was celebrated, I remembered this house. Thanks to everyone who preserves this museum!
The museum is old. But the fact that Mayakovsky lived here until he was 13, walked around Bagdati, studied at a gymnasium in Kutaisi and knew the Georgian language is very interesting.
