Suffice it to say that this is a holy place with strong energy, near the relics it gets cold. The territory itself is conducive to walking and reflection. Those who have come to Samarkand must visit, even if you do not believe, the place is quiet and peaceful, you can walk and admire the views)
A quiet place where you can escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. The majestic nature surrounding the shrine will leave an indelible impression.
Beautiful area, well-groomed territory. You can see if there is extra time. We walked from the Karimov mausoleum, said 1 km, in fact 3 km, it's better to take a taxi.
The place is salted, it feels. The legendary pistachio, which was once revived by Patriarch Alexy and which, after his death, again almost ceased to bloom and bear fruit. Thanks to the guide for the story
People of different faiths come here. It is believed that where St. Daniel (Donier) is located There will be no war and no disease. A very beautiful place, lots of flowers and trees.
The relics of Saint Daniyar (Prophet Daniel) were brought by Tamerlane from a campaign in the Middle East. The mausoleum was built on a mountain near the Siab river. There is a spring at the foot of the mountain, where locals and pilgrims collect water. The pistachio tree in the photo has an interesting story. It was considered dried up and inanimate. In 1996, Patriarch Alexy came to Samarkand, held a service, sprinkled water on the tree and it bloomed again that year. Now they have fenced it off with a fence and make wishes. More savage people put money in the cracks of the tree, apparently trying to buy their desires from God for money.
It was a nice quiet place of pilgrimage.
Now we have made a commercial object. Entrance is paid, dress code, you can't enter the mausoleum itself (it's unclear what they charge for the entrance). You can't tie ribbons on a tree. It's a long way to go. I do not recommend it to tourists.
If you are a non-religious tourist, then you will not be interested. At least, my husband and I didn't understand what we paid the money for. It's just a veranda with a mausoleum, which has no entrance. I think that money should not be taken for this, it's some kind of absurdity
I recommend a visit. It's a very interesting place. There is a 500-year-old pistachio tree next to the mausoleum. It is also one of the few growing graves.
Very clean, beautiful location, nature from God!!!!

The story (or parable) is interesting. About how the buried hand reached out to the body left in another country, and therefore grew-interesting. There is a beautiful park around. You can take a walk in peace. And wash with spring water. But the entrance fee to look through the narrow door is superfluous...
18-meter sarcophagus, in St.Daniel, in which the hand of the saint rests. The sarcophagus was not opened, it remains to believe the legend about the length of the arm...
I am very pleased that, in comparison with Soviet times, everything here is in order and well maintained.
It is not clear why the entrance to the mausoleum itself is limited?
A good place. One thing only causes bewilderment. A holy place, I want to sit, think about the eternal, but there is no "targasha" right here! I poison everything with my trade!
This is a very ancient mausoleum. Beautiful brick ornaments. There is a wonderful hazelnut tree nearby. They sell different chains there. And there's a mullah sitting there. The coffin itself is very big
