An amazing place, fascinating with unusual architecture, there is an ancient cemetery nearby, where dogs walk and snakes bask in the sun. If necessary, turn off the road, take half an hour to enjoy the amazing atmosphere.
We visited the mausoleum without a tour, paid for the entrance and looked at everything ourselves. Helmets are issued at the entrance for those who go to the cave. The territory is not very large, we walked for a maximum of half an hour. We came to the poppy blossom in mid-April, it was beautiful.
The mausoleum is located in the village of Maraza. A 15th-century rock superstructure. It is considered a place of pilgrimage and sacred. Legend has it that a saint named Dari Baba was buried here and his body remained incorruptible for 300 years.
An interesting place. The area of the tour is actually not very large. Reasonable price. The services of a guide are included in the price of the visit, without it, inspection is prohibited. We had a man who told us a very interesting story. We learned a lot about the history of Islamic ornaments.
It is worth stopping by on the way to Gabaou and Sheki. I didn't go inside, because I arrived too early in the morning. The best view of it is from above, from the cemetery
We were surprised when the guide met us and told us about the history and customs. They give out helmets and advise where it is better to walk.
It's a beautiful place, but come early in the morning when there are fewer tourists
"Diri baba" is translated from Azerbaijan.language as an "imperishable elder". This attraction should be visited during a trip on the way to Gabala and Sheki. The attraction is located an hour's drive from Baku
