I visited the "Mother Armenia” monument in Shirak province, a landmark place for everyone who is interested in history and military subjects. The scale is impressive: 18 meters high - it's really cool! The bronze statue of a woman with an ear of corn in her hand symbolizes the victory and strength of the Armenian people. It looks especially impressive against the background of the local landscape. The surrounding area is well maintained: multi-tiered stairs, cascades of fountains (although they are not working now), the alley of hero cities. The names of 3,864 Gyumri residents who died in World War II are carved on the white marble wall - a very powerful place. It's easy to get there: you can walk or take minibus No. 26 (AMD 100 per person). The site offers magnificent views of the city and the mountains - it's definitely worth climbing!

Mother Armenia and the Black Tower in Gyumri are a powerful impression! This is the first place my guide took me to in Gyumri, and it immediately captured my attention. The Mother Armenia complex is not just a monument, it is a symbol of the resilience, fortitude and pride of the Armenian people. The majestic statue looks into the distance, as if protecting the city and the country. You should definitely go up to the observation deck - from there you can enjoy a stunning view of Gyumri and the surrounding area! Nearby is the Black Tower, a gloomy but incredibly atmospheric reminder of the tragic history of the city. She survived the earthquake of 1988, becoming a symbol of the indomitable spirit of the Gyumri people. Walking around the tower, you feel connected to the past and understand what this city had to go through. Overall, visiting this place left a deep impression. This is a place where you can feel the history of Armenia, reflect on its past and admire the beauty of Armenian culture. A must-visit in Gyumri! I recommend: Climb to the Mother Armenia observation deck for a panoramic view. Take the time to study the history of the Black Tower and its role in the life of the city. Just stand for a while, feel the atmosphere of this place and reflect on the strength of the spirit of the Armenian people. Rating: 5 out of 5 stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Clean, beautiful. The eternal Flame really doesn't burn. No luck with the fountains, they did not work during our visit.

A sacred place. I visited it in 1975. The monument was opened, and a museum of Armenian history was planned in the interior of the pedestal. father and son did everything with their own hands. Unfortunately, it was not possible to visit the museum. I don't know what happened to the monument after the earthquake either..
