Take a boat trip in canyon, so beautiful and amazing!!!
Don't take jeep (Delica) trip tour. Absolutely nothing to watch. You can drive to Kaghu waterfall by you 4wd car on your own without any problems. 55 lari and 1 hour of your time spent for nothing.
Very beautiful. But the canyon is not big. You definitely need to stop there if you are somewhere nearby. But if you go far away, I do not recommend it. There are reasons:
1. The road is not easy. There are cows, pigs, a lot of holes on the road, the road is dug up… + the locals have a terrible driving style.
2. A boat ride through the canyon for about 20 minutes and there is essentially nothing else to do there.
3. Cafes with poor service and high prices. There are no traditional dishes, just something with something. For example, a pork shish kebab is not really a shish kebab, but just meat from most likely a local pig that walked along the road, without marinade and fried to the crust in a frying pan, etc
. 3. In local shops they are trying to rip off more money. Parking is paid. At the entrance, I asked: how long can I stay here for this price? They said as much as you want. You pay for entry. After spending the night the next day, when leaving, another grandfather in a yellow vest says give me the money. I explain the situation and he says no, it's not like that, you need to pay again. Even though it's been less than a day!!! In short, I said that I had already paid yesterday and would not pay him, after that I just left.
The hospitality of local people in tourist areas is abruptly replaced by arrogance if you move a little further away from tourist places.
We visited the Martville canyon, it is very beautiful, waterfalls, coolness, beautiful views, but the walking route is too short for 15 minutes, if you visit it only with boating, it is not interesting in any other way. However, the cost per person for a skating visit will be GEL 80, which is expensive for a family. It makes sense to come here from Batumi and the coast if you go somewhere else to other attractions, there is another interesting canyon nearby. It's a long drive from Tbilisi, I don't recommend it, it's not worth it.
It's a cool place, but upon arrival, the taxi drivers persuade you that they will show you another place “5-6 locations of another part of the canyon where you can swim and eat delicious food.” Firstly, you can bargain up to GEL 60 for a whole car, or if you have your own car, you can go yourself. there are 2 different routes, I attach screenshots of the route. I would prefer a route where there is less off-road. They're supposed to take you to the Kaghu Waterfall. In total, by 13:00 we went immediately to the Kaghu waterfall, ate delicious food there, and returned back along another route (where the road is bad) and managed to ride for 80 miles in 2 hours in the Martville Canyon.
It's a very beautiful place. You can fly over the canyon, take a ride on a six-seater rubber boat, or wander around the neighborhood. A local old man showed us the path to the waterfall and the sparrow stone located in the lagoon for 20 lari. The only thing is that we were unlucky with the weather. But, this has nothing to do with the canyon. We realized for ourselves that next time we will keep track of what weather we visit it.
This place should be visited by everyone who came to Georgia, because it is an incredibly unusual, even magical place in which you feel unreal!!!! At the entrance to the territory there are many shops where you can buy souvenirs and groceries. There is a clean, free toilet near the turnstiles. There are several turnstiles, the queue passes quickly. Entrance to the canyon territory is 20 lari , boating for 15 minutes is 20 lari . Be sure to go boating, from there you will see the most beautiful views of the canyon, just walking around the territory you will not see such. The attendant is rowing, you can also participate. The boat is designed for 6 people + 1 escort.
The entire territory of Martvili is fenced with handrails and paths, from where you can see waterfalls, mountain rivers, fish, picturesque nature of Georgia and take the most successful and unreal photos. There are guards on duty on the territory. Be sure to visit this place!!!
The place is stunningly beautiful, but far from the only one. Literally a kilometer away there are plenty of the same and for free. Minus for the organization of tourism. For every 10 meters there is a guard, full of cameras and a step to the right, a step to the left, God forbid you go beyond the handrails - they are already shouting. It's not really possible to relax, there are too many tourists, well, just pandemonium. Entrance is 20 lari, a boat ride along the canyon is 25 lari. The boat trip is about 7-10 minutes, no more. There are 6 people in the boat. You row by yourself, one employee rules from behind. In the canyon, other boats are already "breathing" towards you and pushing faster, faster. Many more tourists need to be passed through monetization in the air.
I liked it very much! But! We were in our car and later than the usual time for tourist buses. Although the last groups were caught, looked at the boat hype from above, appreciated how quickly you can ride a packed boat)))) We waited for the buses to leave and rode the boat for our pleasure - rowing, taking pictures, climbing the waterfall for water! We walked to the viewing platforms, only we are in the photo frames! without another 33 goals))) We went up to the bridge and beyond. We went down to the old hydroelectric power station and swam in a mountain river. On a hot day, the temperature was over 40, a great option.
A very beautiful canyon with waterfalls and rivers. You can walk and watch from the observation decks, you can go boating, you can go rafting on the mountain river nearby.
A beautiful gorge. I recommend a visit. After boating, I advise you to take a walk down the river along the path. There are many waterfalls there. You can also have a delicious meal nearby.
The most interesting and beautiful place. The purest water is pale blue in color. There are many waterfalls, there is beauty around. You can swim if you know where. They gave us a great tour.
It is better to get there by taxi (we ordered a transfer), the place is ennobled for tourists, a 10-minute boat walk, then follow the path with steps, railings, the route is short, the views are beautiful, but in Dagestan the canyon is much bigger and more impressive, there is a choice- go to Dagestan!!!
A beautiful, picturesque place. It just takes your breath away from the beauty. You are sailing on a boat, the water is blue, so transparent that every pebble is visible at 4 meters, a trout swims next to the boat. The impression of the canyon is strong. I recommend it to everyone who has come to Georgia.
It's a beautiful place. Prices are cheaper for Georgian citizens than for foreigners. Children under 6 years old are free of charge. This time it was raining, they couldn't take a boat ride - it was closed, although the cashiers regularly sold tickets. The refund is only based on the passport, in our case, the photo in the phone was enough. There are a couple of restaurants on the territory of the canyon, you can eat.
Super cool! Emotions are off the scale because the power of the water element is so felt! The only thing we were unlucky with was the water. Everywhere on the tour photos she is a beautiful blue, we had a brown one. We went in early August. I am attaching a photo. Entrance is paid about 20 lari,
When you get ready for the Martville Canyon, count on the whole day and charge your smartphones or camera equipment in advance, which will be very useful, because you will see too much beautiful and amazing. Along the way and in the circumference of this canyon, there are still many waterfalls and canyons of various kinds and sizes. There will be interesting meetings with representatives of the local talented people. Buy heaps of interesting and delicious things!
The place is popular, you can visit to admire nature. But it costs 20 lari to enter and 20 lari to ride a canoe for 10 minutes. Plus parking 2 GEL per car. And if you drive further, then in my opinion the place is prettier with a waterfall in which we swam, ate and rested on the riverbank under the noise of the waterfall. And this location is free, we were by car - we drove ourselves. If you drive further, you will generally find a magical secluded place with a canyon, a place for swimming, gorgeous views of nature between two mountains. There are spheres for rent and live trout deliciously cooked by a hospitable hostess.
The Martville Canyon fascinated me with its natural beauty. Boating caused a lot of feelings and emotions. There was a feeling of both delight and fear. Because I'm a little afraid of water. But, all the impressions were good.
It's a beautiful place, everyone liked it. But the only drawback is a large number of people and it gives a little feeling that they just want to make money on tourists. The organizers need to monitor the traffic, otherwise everyone goes in a very dense stream. But nature.... smoothes out all organizational shortcomings. I recommend it to everyone to visit
The canyon itself is beautiful perhaps… The impression was spoiled by the guys who work in parking lots, the so-called "dilutionists". I did not think that such people even exist in Georgia. But we got caught, mesmerized by the pictures and videos that were shown. We were very upset that it was possible to get to each location by car, and not pay 80 GEL.
I recommend going straight to the official tourist center to take a ride through the canyon.
A great atmospheric place. There are equipped hiking and water routes, equipped with places to relax. In the heat, you can hide in the shade of the trees. There is a parking lot for vehicles at the entrance. Everything is convenient . I recommend
Beautiful, exciting! There are many waterfalls, the beautiful color of the water in the canyon. It's a pity there's very little boat ride back and forth. And all this comes out at a pretty penny if you're a family!
The beauty is off the scale , be sure to visit these places. There's a boat ride through the canyon and there are a lot of places that you want to see more and more of everything there. Georgia is beautiful
40 minutes. That's about how long you'll be in this place. Give 40 GEL for this. Yes, it's beautiful. But VERY little. Crowds of tourists. GEL 2 for parking. If you really want BOMBASTIC beauty: there is Okatse Canyon nearby. You will spend 3 hours there. You'll have plenty of exercise. it costs 20 GEL. There are a lot more impressions. The views are gorgeous. The trail along the canyon and the suspension bridge are amazing.
It's beautiful, but, I repeat with other reviews, everything goes very quickly. 10 minutes by boat and the canyon itself for half an hour, there is nothing to do longer + an endless crush of tourists.
There is a parking lot near the building itself, although it is not clear whether it is possible to enter it, although the cars were parked. And at 19 o'clock the gates were closed to her altogether. There is a chaotic parking lot nearby, where grandfathers with wands demand 2 GEL, apparently for beer.
I came here after visiting this place. Terrible impressions. The navigator brought a certain local businessman David to the parking lot. One of his touts (a young guy named Irakli) told a colorful story, showed a video and promised 5 colorful locations for 1.5 hours with swimming and other things. He babbled that the locations were difficult to access and our prius would not get there. We gave 80 GEL for a family of 4 people (children 3 and 7 years old). In the last location with a waterfall and a piece of canyon, we were generally taken in our own car (to the first waterfall, Kagu was driven on a barely alive Pajero, who tried to stall and die all the way, and the prius would have stopped there without problems). As a result, we spent time and money, went to figure out what it was for and demanded at least half of it back. Naturally, they did not return anything with the argument: well, we showed it) This is from the category of showing a monument to a chizhik-pyzhik in St. Petersburg for 3,000 rubles! If anyone comes here before the trip, be vigilant. You can drive/drive everywhere there and watch it for free, even with swimming. After us, poor Indians generally tried to breed 400 lari for 4 people with a lordly discount only today, only now and only for them at 50 lari. I saved the Hindus from making a mistake, for which I later heard David's tantrum against me.
It is very upsetting that if you use Yandex.Navigator, it leads you to this particular site.
The canyon itself was not impressed, Kagu waterfall is really beautiful. Everything else is not worth the travel time of more than an hour. We drove from Batumi, the travel time was about 3 hours. It's not worth it, and especially considering that the local "mafia" is operating there
. p.s. please ask the Yandex Maps project team to adjust the point of interest, because the navigator leads directly to the scammers.
Be sure to take the boats, although the private traders at the entrance will dissuade you in every possible way, like "oh, it's only 10 minutes there." Don't be fooled) the duration of the boats is really short, but firstly, only the water will have a pleasant coolness, and secondly, only from there you can see the canyon in all its glory from below.
And then, if you are by car, you can go near several observation decks outside the main complex, 15-30 minutes drive, the roads are normal, everything is marked on the maps, we drove a rental prius, we drove everywhere.
One of the wonders of the world. Incredible beauty, super, the whole family is delighted. A must-visit! But it is better, of course, to use the services of a guide in a jeep.
I've been rafting there. The river is quite fast, especially after heavy rains. It is necessary to visit there .If you want to see paradise firsthand, then that's where you're going. If you have no experience in kayaking, then somewhere there are quiet routes on inflatables.
It's a beautiful place. It won't take much time to view it. A short boat trip + a walk through the canyon itself for a few photos. The zip line is short, we decided without it. The nature is very beautiful
It's powerful! Definitely worth a visit here! We went for a boat ride. Beauty that fills the mind with positive emotions. The only thing was, I was a little slippery, picking up shoes.
The place is good, the canyon is beautiful! But, be careful!
The whole impression was ruined by the man on the zipline, who allowed himself to get under my skirt and touch me where he couldn't…
I have no words, I came out of there with shaking hands and in a terrible state!
Girls, please be careful!
And the administration is kindly requested: pay attention to employees who allow themselves too much
It is a magical place with crystal clear water and picturesque cliffs. Going down by boat, you feel yourself in another world full of peace and quiet. Majestic waterfalls and green thickets create the atmosphere of a fairy tale. Here you really forget about time and just enjoy nature.
A short summary is "it's not worth it" or "just for once." 😅
Honestly, when I broke in here at the end of September, I expected fewer tourists. There are still a lot of people. If you want beautiful photos "without anyone", go even later.
A quick fuss on the boats... well.. 3/10. All hastily, with jostling and haste, the boats go one after another in an incessant stream, like herrings in a barrel. It's scary to even think about what happens here in the season. The price is expensive for such a trip.
Among the advantages are convenient paths for movement, beautiful viewing platforms. You can get around everything quickly, for 20 minutes, well, 30 at most, if you stand everywhere and look everywhere + take a photo.
The place is touristic and popular, but there are less crowded and even more beautiful places nearby. They say that the parking lot can offer individual excursions to these places, but I had to search on my own)
Summarizing: Yes, it's beautiful, yes, everything is green. But in Georgia, wherever you look, everything is beautiful and everything is green. 🤷♂️
Awesome The whole family is happy. Clear. We were in the car, the people pulled up later, it can be seen that the excursions came up. It's a little cramped, there's a lot of traffic.
A very pleasant, spacious, bright and modern hall! The tracks are just super, modern hooks and bouldering style. I highlight the pleasant staff separately! Keep it up!)
If you say it beautifully, it means saying nothing. This one is just great. Beauty is not real. I am pleased with the scrupulous attitude to nature. Everything has been thought out as much as possible so that people admire, and nature does not suffer. To visit Georgia and not visit the canyon means not to see the real Georgia.
a great place to take a ticket with a boat costs 40 GEL per person. the entrance is 20 lari and the boat is 20 lari. you will not regret the photos are super good! I recommend.
We decided to visit the Martville Canyon. The impressions are terrible. When we arrived, we were immediately told that there were no boats because of the wind. We decided to go for a walk (the cost is 20 GEL per person). What did we see? A couple of locations that are not interesting from the word at all. At least it's not worth the time and money, the road to the canyon is something on the verge of fiction (I attach a photo). It's a pity that you fell for advertising, but there are many other, possibly beautiful places. We spent a total of 15-20 minutes walking, and spent several hours on the road.
For those who have nothing to compare it with, I recommend it. And in general, it is a very short route, there and back) There was no Wow effect, but it will do for a change. The price is a little too high. It's very hot in July, take hats and some water.
A wonderful place, just incredible! but! The organization of the tour itself is at zero. Boating for 15 minutes, no one tells or says anything, you can only take pictures of something as a landscape, go out for a walk, you can't look. Back and forth and shoo . They came out very upset
The location and cost do not meet expectations. Firstly, when you enter the parking lot (and they are all paid there), taxi drivers begin to swoop in like kites and offer excursions for a lot of money (do not be fooled). Walk yourself down past the shops to the end, you can buy an entrance ticket there (price from GEL 20 and above for 1 person), but there is not much to see. We walked the entire canyon in 10 minutes and got tired of the stairs. Well, it's beautiful, but it doesn't cost 20 GEL… You can just look at the reviews, and consider yourself there)
The place is beautiful, but the price for such a short trip is not justified. We drove by boat for 11 minutes in total, the entire route can be completed in + 15 minutes, for a total of 40 GEL per person. Plus parking is paid
We were on an excursion. Unfortunately, we were only on a walking tour. Due to the weather conditions, the boat trip was canceled. Although it was sunny and windless. We were going, just for a boat trip.
This is something very beautiful) I will definitely come back ☺️
It would be nice to swim slowly and enjoy this whole beauty, otherwise there are a lot of tourists 😁
