Let's continue with the cleaning - the cleaning ends at the stage of making the bed, replacing towels and cleaning the urn, the cleaner does not do anything else (although they left tips every day), when checking in, there is just a layer of dust everywhere on the furniture, the bathroom is dirty, the tile is covered with a plaque that will already be washed. About nutrition: there are no complaints here, the food is delicious and varied, we have definitely never been hungry. As a recommendation, of course, I would like the management to put the rooms in order, there was a case during our stay at the hotel, on the ground floor, where the rooms overlook the garden, a woman who lived in one of the rooms turned out to have bedbugs, but the room was replaced quickly and without questions. Evening animation, but what about the word at all, everything is the same, an artist who sings songs in different languages, sings so disgustingly that I want to give money to shut up. The only downside was there was no wine. The beach is nearby, sandy, corals are present, but not much. But there are more than enough fish, even a huge moray eel has been seen. I was completely satisfied with the hotel, everything is within walking distance, cleanliness, the staff is polite. I will definitely return to this hotel.

With Wi-Fi, the situation is simply amazing — 4 GB. for a day, then for a fee (albeit symbolic) — really, in 2023, a 4* hotel cannot conduct a normal Internet connection? After all these covidae, people go on vacation, including working remotely. It's good that at least it catches almost the entire territory, and not just in the lobby, as it seemed from the reviews. Breakfast is not included on the day of arrival, so they offered brunch at the beach bar — it turned out that these were sandwiches from two pieces of bread with one slice of turkey, seriously? The rolls are disassembled quite quickly, the stock is not replenished. Who managed it, as they say. After 14 we checked into the room — we offered a standard or, for an additional fee, an improved one. The standard one is a tiny room in which, apart from a large bed, nothing else fits, the furniture and plumbing are all shabby. The room with an additional fee looks better in terms of the interior, but the condition of the furniture and plumbing is the same — the faucet in the bathroom is hanging out, there are some stains on the headboard of the bed ... but there is a balcony and a "sea view" (although in fact the view is more on the road and parking in front of the hotel). So far, we've only had lunch from the food — well, it's fine. Lots of salads, little meat. They cook a good pizza. The sea is quite warm (I think because it is shallow), even warmer than outside (in December) - it will be quite good to swim with children. The beach is clean, they constantly go to clean the garbage. The pools are claimed to be heated, but in fact the water is icy. In summary, the hotel was not impressed. Let's see what happens during the rest, maybe I'll add a review, but now I don't want to return to this hotel anymore. Last year we were in a nearby hotel, on the other side of the bay, also 4* — now comparing, we understand that we liked it much more, although the rooms are also not new and not the cleanest. But there is a large territory, and the pools are normally heated, and there is a choice of brunch at the bar — sandwiches, pizza, etc., there was no need to pay extra for a normal room and there was free Wi-Fi throughout.

Nothing will save you, earplugs are useless, you, along with the bed and all objects in the infra-low frequencies, shudder until everything stops. Moreover, this very Calimera disco belongs to and is located on the same territory as Marina Sharm, and is served by employees with Marina Sharm badges.

The depth to the buoys is very small, and they are not allowed to swim behind the buoys because of the boats, they are constantly whistling. For those who love and know how to swim well, this is a problem. But we still swam behind the buoys despite the ban, so we were satisfied :) The food in the restaurant is average, but you will not stay hungry, there is always something to choose. On my birthday, during my stay at the hotel, a cake was brought to my room and congratulated, it was very pleasant. We were given a room on the third floor. The room is very nice, cozy with a side view of the sea. For that, special thanks to the receptionist. The cleaning in the room was good, we gave the cleaner a dollar every two days for this. But one day we forgot to give the cleaner a bucket, so he took offense at us for this and unscrewed all the screws from the toilet seat. It's funny and sad that in a 4* hotel, a cleaner can afford to do this, as if we personally hired him to work and he arranges single pickets for us because we don't pay him on time. I definitely categorically do not recommend this Marina to families with children!

The room is standard, it's just a cave, small, dark, there is no balcony, only a bed was placed from the interior, the only plus of this room, everything else is old, dirty, the TV does not work, the hair dryer does not work😱 construction begins outside the front door from 7 a.m., the noise is wild.
On the 4th day of our vacation, two letters in the name of the hotel burned out, which clearly characterizes this hotel not for the better.

There are three pools, one of them is for children. The beach is not very large, for recreation with children, because the sea is shallow, the entrance is from the shore.
It is confusing and incomprehensible, especially considering the positioning of the hotel as a 4* category "All". First they settle in one room, then it turns out that the number is not the same (someone got something mixed up), they offer to pay an additional $ 45 / day. We laugh together.
The "other" number turns out to be very strange, refused. We offered several more options to choose from, some of them are even worse, some are simply not ready, but as a result, we find an option better than the original one and without any additional payments.
That is, with some pressure, it is possible to choose the most decent number (but this is at the beginning of September).
An unpleasant, but not critical moment: initially communicating perfectly in Russian, when questions arise, the staff abruptly ceases to understand you. Okay, we're not proud, we're switching to English.
Regardless of the categories (from suite to standard), the condition of the hotel's room stock is the level of average fatigue.
All rooms have similar problems, current plumbing, strange-looking trash cans without lids (they are apparently kicked here), air conditioners working in "on-off" mode, buggy electronic door locks, and so on. Issues are resolved as they are identified.
The quality of cleaning is very average everywhere - when looking at the options for replacing the initially provided room (see above), everything was found: from sand on the floor and papers in the cabinets, to someone's lost hair and obviously stale (but neatly laid!) towels. As it turned out later, during the guests' stay, no one changes the towels, they are simply neatly folded and cooled into place. Sweeping floors (not to mention wet cleaning) also, no one bothers themselves the same way - on the day of settlement, the spouse dropped the pill and did not immediately find it, and after four days we found her darling lying under the table behind the leg.
But still the air conditioners are working, there is cold and hot water, the doors are closed, the curtains protect from the African sun, that is, you can live.
Territory. If we consider the site directly adjacent to the hotel as a territory, then there is actually no territory. That is, not at all, because the lawn in front of the animation scene is simply ridiculous to perceive as a "territory".
However, there is another part across the road (the roadway), on which there are three swimming pools and the beach itself.
But if this site is considered as a hotel territory, then it is quite good: it is kept clean, there are enough sun beds both by the pool and on the beach, the sand and tiles are clean.
Of the minuses, the transition to the "beach-pool" part of the territory is possible either through the lobby and the street (that is, it is not comfortable to go in a bathing suit at all), or through the "bridge" at the level of the third floor, or through the "gate" in the fence, but the bridge and the gate open and close according to a very strange schedule so it's easier to get dressed normally, proudly walk through the hall, cross the street, and already at the pool or on the beach to take the form of a vacationer.
Beach and swimming pools.
The beach at the hotel is sandy, the water and bottom are clean (except for a few small stones), the depth rises smoothly. In the area of restrictive buoys at normal water level, the depth is about 1.6 m, but at low tide, the water level there is slightly above the knee.
Tides happen every day, so bathing time needs to be "caught", but in the morning everything is usually fine.
The hotel has three swimming pools: a variable depth pool (1.7m - 1m), a flat 1.5m deep pool and a shallow children's pool.
The pools are clean, the water is clear, as I have already noted - there are enough sun beds and umbrellas, free space can be found almost always.
There is a bar with drinks in the pool area, periodically something ends there, but issues are resolved very quickly.
Yes, swimming in the Red Sea at night is prohibited and there are reasons for this, but a ban on walking on the beach?.. We are coming here because it is on the SEA, the sea is here, a hundred meters away, but you can only get to it according to the schedule, from 09:00 to 18:00, that is, in the heat, and when the sun is still (or already) not baking, respectively, it would be as pleasant as possible to be near the sea - alas: enjoy the view from behind the fence. But order is order, you just need to keep this in mind.
Animation.
It's hard to say anything here.
Children's animation at the level of Tunisia in 2003 (I then watched it at the Marhaba Beach hotel). Incredibly, but a fact: on children's animation, even the music is the same (!) with the same disgusting sound quality.
An adult?... Well , how to say…
In many reviews they write that in Egypt everything there is designed exclusively for locals, we have to state that yes - it is so. During the entire stay, only one evening passed without an obvious bias in Arabic themes, but here is the other extreme: an evening of Spanish motifs. Why such one-sidedness? Riddle.
Perhaps the reason for the relaxation of animators in the low season, but for hotel guests this is not an excuse.
But across the street, on Tuesdays and Fridays until three o'clock in the morning, the sound is very decent, the equipment is good and gives out such a level of sound pressure that on the fifth floor of the hotel from the "bottoms" in a glass on the table there are ripples and double-glazed windows tremble. This is especially felt in the far (left, if you stand with your back to the sea) part, there is a disco almost opposite, keep this in mind, especially if you have children with you.
Kitchen and restaurant.
This is an element to which there are minimum claims, only positive emotions. Sometimes it even seems that the hotel and the restaurant are completely different organizations, so they have a different level of service.
The service is excellent, the staff is polite, helpful and very nimble. Despite a decent full load, there is no fuss in the hall, while the tables are quickly cleaned and covered again. The set of dishes is diverse and will probably satisfy most guests. There are national elements in meat dishes, desserts, sauces and seasonings.
As bottlenecks, we can note only a somewhat vague organization of the bottling of drinks, but this is by and large the cost of catering according to the "buffet" type.
Some visitors complain about the small amount of fruit, I can't say for sure, but there seem to be few of them in Egypt, in principle, the desert is still!…
The hotel's surroundings and infrastructure.
The hotel is located almost at the very end of the cape bordering Naama bay from the south, that is, there is nowhere to go along the coast towards the sea. But in the opposite direction there is direct access to one of the main shopping and entertainment streets of the city and to the promenade along the Gulf coast.
You don't need to go anywhere: there are plenty of shops, cafes and other establishments within walking distance, so this is an undoubted plus for party lovers.
One of the disadvantages is probably that the prices and the set of products presented do not differ in variety - the same thing is sold everywhere and at almost the same prices.
But there is a lot of sparkle, noise, a lot of people, that is, not boring.
We rested with a child of 6 years from 02/11/2023 to 02/21/2023. The worst hotel in the history of trips to the sea. Animation works very noisily almost around the clock. The food is monotonous, the coffee is delicious, poured into paper cups in the buffet, where there is always a queue, there is no porridge for breakfast, wine is paid, cocktails are paid, table tennis is paid. There are not enough sunbeds at sea, everything is busy in the morning, the sea is boring, a couple of fish swam, the bed linen has not been changed once in 12 days, Arabs bathe their children in diapers in the pool, they spit there as they pass by. I don't advise anyone.
