A three-star hotel in Kokkini Hani (but actually in the less well-known neighboring village of Vatianos Kambos, the border is 10 meters away). It's 1 minute to the sea, but it's a wild beach, sandy, but with rocks. The chic beach with sun beds Themis Beach is 10 minutes away. The hotel also has a swimming pool.

Breakfasts and dinners are mediocre, you will not stay hungry, there is something to choose, but there is not enough variety. There are sweets, watermelons and oranges daily, drinks only in the morning. There is also a bar with adequate prices.
In general, a good small hotel, network, adequate for your money. Wi-Fi is stable, both in the room, at the reception and at the bar. The staff is very friendly, mostly Germans among the residents, but there are also Russians. Cats live on the territory, begging in the mornings and evenings, fighting at night.
But it is necessary to take into account the peculiarity of Kokkini Honey, planes fly overhead every 20 minutes. If this is not a problem, then you can go here.

We stayed at the small but rather cozy Marilisa hotel from the Shotels hotel chain (http://www.shotels .gr/accommodation/marilisa-hotel/). It is unlikely that there are more than 20 rooms in it, however, I do not know the exact number. It consists of three buildings. There are two buildings with three floors, and one small one with three rooms. We occupied one of the best rooms of the hotel on the second floor with a view of the wonderful araucaria, which pleased the eye every morning. The sea is almost invisible from the hotel, despite the fact that it is only 100 meters away, it is located on the second line. In front of him, on the very shore, there is a chain of small houses. Most likely, the Greeks rent them out for villas in the summer, but we have never seen much activity in them. The rooms of the hotel are formally peer-to-peer, but our Superior triple SSV should be considered at least a junior suite. Just because of the size. The room consisted of one huge living room 6 by 6 meters, a spacious balcony with sufficient seating for 3 people at a round table and a bathroom. A small refrigerator with a freezer "death to ice cream". 2 tables. 3 chairs. A large double bed with a comfortable single mattress. There was an additional Euro pad with a soft sailor in the room. Theoretically, she was for her daughter. In addition, there was a TV with five channels in the room, and more importantly, it had a USB stick connector. One of their channels was our First (#$@&*). There were a lot of outlets in the room. A lot, which of course pleased me.
There is no elevator in the hotel, and as usual among the Greeks, a separate long staircase of the category "Die under a suitcase" led to the third floor. The pool is small and of highly variable depth. It's a meter on one side and 2.70 on the other. So you can jump up. There is a bar with tables next to the hotel. Meals at the hotel are served according to the Half Board scheme. They do not cook themselves, but bring ready-made food from Heraklion (catering). I must say that this has a positive effect on the quality of this food. Despite the small variety, it was easy to pick up something tasty every time.
The animation at the hotel was managed by 2 families of cats. We named the striped family "Milady and Cardinal" (the kittens were named: Rochefort, de Jusac and Katie). The second family of cats consisted of a black-and-white mother cat (the Queen), her red-haired husband (de Treville) and their black-and-white shy kitten (La Porte). The cats were cool and had very different personalities. They were most active, of course, at the breakfast and dinner of the hotel guests. Milady was the loudest and most brazen. But the Queen was a real acrobat. She did not wait for a piece of food to leave the nursing hand, she jumped after this "bird" herself.
They cleaned every day. Towels were changed on demand. And they made the bed. I would like to draw your attention to 2 features of the hotel: from 23-00 to 7-30 there is simply no staff at the hotel. Nothing. They don't keep a night porter either, so it's necessary to enter the hotel at night with extreme caution. The second feature is that the entire coast from Karteros to Gurnes is on the approach path of the aircraft and the noise of the engines is quite noticeable. Good for air spotters. It's bad for someone who is annoyed by such noise.
