According to Islamic tradition, after Allah ordered the Prophet Ibrahim to build the Kaaba, he and his son Ismail began building the temple. Ismail's duties included offering stones, and Ibrahim did the laying. After the walls of the building rose above Ibrahim's height, Ismail rolled a large stone under his feet. Climbing up on the stone, Ibrahim continued to work. The footprint of the Prophet Ibrahim was left on this stone
