I am writing a review with fresh impressions, because I have just returned from this hotel. I've been resting for 10 days since mid-October. The hotel is on the first beach line, an hour's drive from the airport in the city of Monastir. The majority of the hotel's contingent consists of elderly people and families with children. There are many tourists from Europe, specifically from Germany, and Arab families. None of the staff speaks Russian. The hotel, of course, is tired, this is evident from the quality of linen, towels, dishes with chips. There is a swimming pool, next to which there are many sun beds and umbrellas. It is not accepted to book sun beds, towels thrown on deck chairs without owners are picked up by the staff three times a day. And a deposit is paid for towels upon check-in. The room is very spacious under 50 sq.m. To check into a room with a sea view, an average surcharge of 140-150 euros per person is required. The food is normal. I was surprised that with an abundance of desserts for breakfast there is tea and coffee, and for lunch and dinner the coffee machines are removed, it will no longer be possible to pour yourself tea or coffee. You can go to the bar and get a coffee there, but they won't let you back into the hall. It is also impossible to take out a cake to eat with coffee at the bar. In my opinion, it is unreasonable and strange. There is a hammam and a Jacuzzi inside, BUT it turned out to be for a fee. Yes, the procedures are naturally done for an additional fee, I do not argue. But it was necessary to warm up in the hammam and jacuzzi in bad weather for an additional fee. The weather was not beachy, we swam for only two days, then there was a very strong wind, thunderstorms and a storm. There was a red flag and it was impossible to swim. There are two a la carte restaurants where you can go once for free. The territory of the hotel is small and well maintained. You can walk along the sea until it gets dark, then it is no longer recommended to leave the territory. The beach is clean, there are a lot of shells. The room is cleaned every day.

Mahdia Palace Thalasso is a good choice for those who are looking for a relaxing holiday by the sea with elements of spa and thalassotherapy, but, as in any other hotel, preferences may vary depending on personal expectations and the purpose of the trip. The hotel corresponds to five stars!!! Beautiful, clean, service level. The cuisine is diverse. national, Italian, Mediterranean. All dishes are present in the main restaurant, Cleaning is daily, the beach is clean, there are enough sunbeds both on the beach and by the pool. The Thalasso center is beautiful. All procedures are performed accurately on time, the doctor prescribes treatment for complaints, improvement is real! Beauty treatments are available! Rejuvenate!

The hotel is for unassuming tourists who come for a quiet, secluded vacation and the opportunity to get treated with thalassotherapy. The staff is very friendly, polite, everyone is smiling, trying to do their job well. I arrived at 5 a.m. and was immediately checked in, although according to the rules of the hotel, check-in is only at 15.00. The room is very spacious, with a large balcony and with a magnificent view of the sea and the golf course. There is free Wi-Fi in the room and throughout the hotel. Everything in the room, of course, is already very tired... Old furniture, plumbing, there are traces of past guests on the walls, curtains and chairs. The territory of the hotel is green, well-groomed, flowers are blooming, the trees are figuratively trimmed. The main contingent of the hotel is pensioners, there are very few young people and children, which was good for me. There is no noise, no screeching. Let's just say the food is modest, although, of course, there is a choice of grilled meat, stewed, fried, there is also chicken and fish. The meat is mostly beef and it is almost all rubber and very spicy, it is better to take something else. Very tasty ice cream and desserts, there are few fruits (nectarines, apricots, melon and watermelon). There are soups, everything is available for breakfast and even milk porridge, which is rare for hotels. There are no delicacies like seafood here, berries like strawberries and cherries too, but there is always something to eat. The beach is sandy and seashell, but the shells are very large and beautiful, the sea is cool, invigorating at the entrance, there is also sand and shells at the bottom. The beach itself is more or less clean, except for the shells. A chaise longue and mattress are brought by a hotel employee and put where it is convenient for you, towels are given for a deposit of 10 dinars.

A decent hotel in Mahdia, yes, I agree with the reviews, there are some nuances, but overall everything is fine) thanks to everyone who wrote about the cons and pros, it was very useful. In general: the staff is very friendly, the service is good, the guys try very hard to please everyone in the restaurant, at the reception, and so on. We rested from 08/22/2023 to 08/31/2023, the cleaning was excellent, there were no problems with sun beds on the beach, in the restaurant (even when there were a lot of people), we always found a table, appliances, etc. (just need to tell how many people you want to drink and in 2-3 minutes everything will be fine). I really liked the spa, there will be an opportunity - visit it, the massage is great (we voiced our problems immediately, the program was drawn up, there were no delays in the procedures. The girls are very friendly at the reception at the spa and we really liked everything: back massage five sessions super) The fact that the staff is customer-oriented feels, honestly, I was not looking for cons, because I read all the reviews, both positive and negative. The hotel is big. There are a lot of people too. Czechs are practically the only ones resting! At the same time, they behave like at home, since the staff has already learned Czech words, and even the animators played songs in Czech! On the beach, Czechs addressed us in Czech, not even doubting that we were Czechs too! The food is excellent, varied, better and tastier than Turkey! The sea is great, the beach is beautiful. There is one beach strip with a city one, but the locals of the city were not allowed to visit us. Small. You can only swim near the buoys... there were waves. We haven't seen any jellyfish! There are many water entertainment stations.
The thalassotherapy center is not bad. For $ 250, the course is 6 days, 4 treatments every day. I consider it a plus! At the reception, do not get divorced by the words "we will give you a great room with a sea view"! Pay extra or not, the balcony will still be on the pools.
The sun beds were occupied at 7 a.m.... both by the pool and by the sea…
In general, a large comfortable hotel.
Please note that it is better to fly to Monastir, not Tunisia, from there you will drive more than 3 hours to the hotel! And the road is not colorful at all!!!

The hotel is located in the mountains.Mahdia , not very far from the center .
The hotel itself has a small, well-groomed territory, is clean and hospitable.Check-in at 14.00, the large room was overlooking the sea.
The sea is azure in color, almost always with waves, those who love it will definitely appreciate it.A sandy beach with beautiful shells.
The hotel operates on an all-inclusive system, everything is delicious.There were some disadvantages, but not critical.

We stayed at this hotel in August. I can only say good things about the sea. It is very warm, clean and the beach is good. We didn't like the rest.
We were aware that the hotel was not new, but the fact that nothing in it was updated at all was a surprise to us. There are very unpleasant odors everywhere, all over the hotel. The smell of mustiness, old age, dampness. It is not pleasant to walk through the corridors. In the rooms (we had two of them, because at first they settled in some kind of cave on the 2nd floor, with a view of the wall, but the truth was changed the next day without problems) everything is old, does not work well, plumbing leaves much to be desired. There is only one outlet in the room, it is not very convenient. In general, we urgently need to update the numbers.
They come in to clean without knocking. We were in the room twice at that time and both times no one knocked before entering. They just open the door and come in. Shock of course.
Food. We're not picky, but there's really a problem with the food. A lot, but everything is very strange and not tasty. As much as my husband likes to eat, he started eating fruits here on the third day. Says nobody wants them for what they are. It doesn't pull at 5* at all. Two times there were grilled shrimps, three pieces each, seafood is all. Dirty dishes, very poorly washed.
We went to the Ala Kart fish restaurant, don't go. They serve for a long time, it's not tasty.
Alcohol is bad. The beer is not tasty. My husband got an allergy from rum, after the second glass of a rum-Cola cocktail. The wine is not bad, you can drink it.
Have you tried hookah, don't try soap.
The staff is trying, well done. Everyone practically knows Russian. They understand and even answer in Russian, which is a big plus.
The hotel is mostly Polish, Slovaks, and there are few Russians.
We went to the city, 5 km from the hotel. By taxi for 5 dinars, they certainly call the price higher, but you have to bargain. They didn't see anything interesting there, a bazaar where everyone wants to profit and cheat. The lighthouse and that's it. We did not go on excursions, there were no such plans.
In general, to swim in a good sea, you can go. But we're not coming back here anymore.

I'm currently resting at the hotel. The room stock really needs to be repaired. But this is for the finicky. The linen is clean. Towels are changed daily. No one smokes in the dining room, as I read in another review. Tablecloths are always white. There are devices. They are fed in two shifts due to the large number of guests. Both water and wine are brought on request. Of course, this is not Turkey. The choice of dishes is much smaller and has a more specific taste. But in principle, you can find something acceptable for yourself. There is no animation as such. In the evening, either a saxophonist, or an accordionist or a singer. There is a nursery. The beach is quite large. But not well-groomed enough. No one cleans the cigarette butts. There are no toilets nearby. Only in the main building. It is inconvenient that there is no clock anywhere. The sea is shallow. Seaweed. But not critically. The depth of the buoys is 1.5 meters. You hand over beach towels in the evening. You pick it up in the morning. The deposit upon arrival is 10 dinars (3 dinars = $ 1). Money can be changed at the hotel. The normal course. The local alcohol is not important. The beer is decent. Like a lager. Yes. Thalasso. Wrapping with clay was tried. One procedure is about 1,500 rubles. Result. After reading the reviews. I thought it would be worse. Just for 10 days, the cost of a vacation of 250 thousand for two is, in principle, expensive for nothing.

I liked the hotel itself. But, in bars, rude staff who "turn on the fool" and pretend that they do not even understand English. Drinks are not served on the All-Inclusive card. All the food is very spicy. Pepper rolls over. Normal, not spicy food, very little. I hope there will be more dishes of Russian cuisine next summer 2024. The waiters serve very slowly. Until you give money, they don't notice you at all. A teaspoon should be asked almost for Christ's sake. Ice cream is a bomb. Very tasty. It's even strange that it's not peppery. We will come next year and evaluate it. If nothing changes, this will be the last time.

It's not five stars in my understanding, but nevertheless everything was very decent. As it turned out later, it was one of the best hotels in Mahdia. The hotel was mostly occupied by Germans, Poles and Arabs. There are very few Russian tourists. The hotel would have passed the inspection by the Revizoro program with a big squeak))) The rooms are clean but old. Two towels per person (for hands and body), which were originally made of synthetic materials and you can't even wipe yourself properly. But then a sincere conversation and "sweets" for tea corrected the situation. And so it is in everything! If you want it to be good, be ready to unfasten for it. The cleanest beach at the hotel. Good animation. Live music every evening. Snack bars are about nothing - there is no food, only cocktails based on local vodka, whiskey and beer.
The food is a buffet. Both adults and children can eat enough. Don't expect a gastronomic orgasm) This is just a quiet and peaceful hotel for a seal vacation, where it will be very comfortable to go with children next time.
Spa! Be sure to take at least 4 days. First of all, it's worth it. Secondly, it's worth it😂😂😂
Excursions! You can and should go to El Jam on your own. We didn't have any problems with a trip together at all, but it turned out to be 5 times cheaper for the price. We rode ATVs for 2 hours and watched the sunset, having agreed with the rental director on our own. The Mahdiyas also walked around the city themselves without a guide and learned a lot of interesting things.
Shopping! I recommend buying oil, olives and olives at a supermarket in the city, prices are 3 times lower than on the tourist alley. Silk and cashmere shawls can be purchased directly from the manufacturer.
Seafood is not cheap there at all. But you can go play around once. The average check is 3.5rubles without frills.

We stayed at this hotel from July 21 to August 1

The only drawback is that we arrived at Tunis airport, and the 3-hour bus ride was quite tedious.. Therefore, take this into account, or choose flights to other airports (they seem to be flying to Sousse now)

Just returned from the hotel, rested from 13.09.23g to 22.09.23g. Before that, I had been 8 times on the island.Djerba, on the mainland - for the first time. We flew from Moscow to Monastir, the transfer to the hotel is about 1.5 hours. Due to the postponement of departure, first 4.5 hours earlier (on 12.09.23g), then again 3 hours later (again on 13.09.23g) after check-in for the flight, the airline gave everyone food stamps for 500 rubles. And upon arrival at the hotel at 6 am - immediately checked into the room, for which respect! The room would be 259, a balcony on the road and a neighboring hotel, the view is normal. Clean enough, big enough. 3 Russian TV channels were working. The room was cleaned every day, there were no complaints. The territory of the hotel is well-groomed, the cleanliness is perfect. The beach is also clean, there are a lot of sunbeds, we always came early and there was always a place on the 1st or 2nd line. What surprised me was that there were no algae at all, which is not typical for Tunisia! We liked the food in the main restaurant, we always found something to choose for ourselves. The waiters serve quickly, kindly. Chocolate and dollar do their job) - and the table is reserved, and served in advance. But there are no teaspoons - until you ask the waiter. Animation can be said no, 4 people for a large hotel, kutso. And everything is sharpened for Poles, Czechs and Slovaks, our requests to put Russian music on discos were ignored. There weren't many Russians at all. Every evening on the outdoor veranda of the restaurant there was live music (saxophone, accordion, violin, vocals), it is quite possible to sit with a cocktail, the waiters serve quickly. There were no juices at all in the hotel, even packaged ones. It is a pity that there are no flights to Djerba!

We had a rest at the end of July and beginning of August. The weather was great. The sea was slightly stormy, but it was possible to swim. The sea was warm. There were jellyfish in the morning for a couple of days, but they were visible and it was possible to move away to a safe distance. The beach is clean, there are a lot of sun loungers, even when the hotel is completely full. I really liked the treatments in the spa area. I recommend the spa. The food is varied for all tastes. The staff is polite and helpful. I really liked it.

Terrible hotel. It does not pull at 5 stars even by the lowest standards . The only thing that saves the situation is the sea. The room stock is dead , the animation is terrible . The food is varied - but what should it be in 5 stars???? No one understands Russian except at the reception. Get ready for additional charges for alcoholic beverages on Galauzhin and non-alternative food. What they bring you will eat.... And they charge 100 bucks for it . And they also smoke everywhere , there is no air. The animation makes up a local orchestra with squeaks and squeals.
And now about the advantages :
The employees are trying their best not to let this king sink .
There is a tennis court, but again it is paid - for money you will be offered dead equipment and a field with a net in holes, the ball constantly flies through the net or under it and the game turns into a nightmare.
There is a golf course burn situation similar.
The sea is just outside the territory . They clean the algae well .
There is an outdoor swimming pool for adults and children.
Indoor for some money in the spa area.
The contingent consists of local Arabs and their large families . They smoke in front of children right in the restaurant at the next table at you .
I strongly do not recommend it .

We were at this hotel before the pandemic. We really liked it! This hotel is for a quiet respectable holiday. If you need a party, music, animation, then you are not here. It will be boring for the young... There are practically no entertainment facilities for children, and there are very few children. Rather, a solid age contingent comes here. And we liked it. Excellent staff attitude, great beach, nice rooms. The food is average, but there is enough for everyone. Ice cream every day and without restrictions. Very beautiful olive wood decoration of the main building, stairs. Many people come to this hotel for treatment, but we just rested and enjoyed the sun, the sea and the silence. For a relaxing holiday, you can recommend!

Take the water yourself from the waiter's counter... Well, orient yourself immediately.. So that you don't have to look for ashtrays for a long time. We stayed at this hotel with my wife in September 2019.The hotel is located on the very shore of a snow-white beach with a long sandy entrance to the sea. The sea is very shallow, you can swim normally only behind the buoys. The sun beds on the grass were occupied at 6 o'clock in the morning.They paid $40 to check into a normal room. The food is excellent, there were always four types of ice cream for lunch and dinner.Meals are organized in two shifts.We always ate first. The hotel has its own thalassotherapy center. The Russian-speaking Dr. Nazir, based on his state of health, prescribed the procedures very competently. My wife and I enjoyed the treatment. Other vacationers with whom we communicated also spoke positively about the work of the Center. In general, the rest was a success. I recommend the hotel for a relaxing family holiday.

The sea and the beach are the cleanest. Small fish in the water are clearly visible.
If you want a certain place on the beach, then you need to take it at 6-00, although at other times there will still be a place on the sunbed without tipping a hotel employee on the beach.
The sea is not deep to the middle, then deep, then you can stand with your feet at the fence.
You can also swim behind buoys, boats, etc. they ride relatively far from the fence.
The room is nice, the usual furniture.
The service in the dining room is excellent: water, and at lunch and dinner: beer, wine, the waiter brings immediately upon request.
There are no queues. We went to 7-00, 12-30 and 18-00.
The food is huge: duck, turkey, chicken, beef, lamb, liver, a sea of fish species, shrimp, mussels.
Fruits are always fresh: watermelon, melon, peaches, grapes.
Small oranges lie along with a huge tuna. There are no bananas.
Sweet – the sea, ice cream: 4 types.
Alcohol from 10-00.
Alcohol of local production, but of high quality: local liqueur Cedratine, Whiskey, Gin, Vodka, Vodka "Buha", Muscat, Vermouth.
He drank everything and stirred it up, washing it down with beer and cocktails – a problem-free state in the morning.
0.5 beer from glass bottles only in the lobby bar. The beach bar is draught beer, but good.
Cocktails: Pinocolado, Gin Fiz, Love on the beach, Lemon Daiquiri, Vodka San, San Francisco.
The beach bar makes all kinds of cocktails equally and well.
In the lobby bar, they can sometimes confuse the type of cocktail, but they change it to the right one without any problems. And sometimes they do great. And without tips. The waiters are funny guys – the main thing is to make friends with them verbally.
Great hotel. I recommend it for a relaxing family holiday.
