WiFi is good, the hosts are good-natured. It's all about positive emotions.
The area of factories and migrants (workers), it is not safe to walk in the evening.
The room is damp, the bath is not very hygienic, and the audibility is such that it feels like you are sleeping in a common corridor.
We gave away €112 in 2 days, I assure you it's not worth it.
In April, we stayed at the Maduro Hotel in Istanbul. I really liked the cozy hotel, close to all the sights, the grand bazaar, many shops, cafes. The location of the hotel is very convenient. Incomparable breakfasts, hospitable hosts, very polite administrators, they will tell you everything. And most importantly, excellent Wi-fi. Great experience!
Dead dirty rooms, not even disposable slippers! I didn't think there were such people in Istanbul!

I'll start from the beginning, when you go to the reception, you immediately realize that Turkey, the country of cats, because it really stinks of urine from the sofa. We booked a family room, the booking indicated 29 meters with a sea view, in fact the room was 12 meters, the bathroom was all in mold, the furniture was all stripped. Past reviews are clearly screwed up, there is a shoe factory on the 1st floor and there is a constant knock. The price is not the smallest for the hotel, we refused to leave and thank the administrator for canceling the reservation without penalty.
We stayed with my wife and grandson, 9 years old on January 6-11, 2020, in a 3-bed room on the 2nd floor, above the entrance to the hotel. Before the trip, we carefully read all the reviews about the hotel. Everything positive was confirmed, but we did not see the negative, because that was not what we were driving for. The hotel is small (one entrance of a 5-storey old house in the old part of the city), but well maintained. Its main advantage, we believe, is that all the staff, including its owner, are not indifferent to their work, which is the merit of the hotel owner, a pleasant young man. He does not sit "at home, on the stove, does not eat rolls," but works as part of his team from morning to evening. He is respectful and friendly to the guests, which creates a warm, homely atmosphere. We learned that the hotel will expand: another, much larger one is being built under the MADURO brand, it will be located to the north, i.e., higher, much closer to the T1 tram. The hotel's guests, by the way, are from all over the world, but most of them are from Russia. We recommend it. THE QUALITY IS HIGHER THAN THE PRICE.
The hotel is in a working quarter, but not far from the center line of the T1 tram, so I consider the location convenient. There are many local cafes nearby with inexpensive prices. The breakfasts are good. The rooms are already slightly worn out, but considering the price of the hotel, it's not bad. The staff is friendly!
