Positive:
• Stunning pirate-themed design, beautiful rooms
• sea across the street, free beach with sun beds and umbrellas
• breakfast buffet (large selection of dishes, fruits, local cuisine, delicious Vietnamese coffee)
• 15:00-16:00 chocolate hour for guests (various sweets and fruits are offered, which can be eaten separately or with chocolate sauce)
• nice pool
• friendly staff
Minuses:
• you can only get to the nearby town (Phan Thiet) by taxi, there are no buses
• the transfer is not included in the price, it was ordered separately through the Island
• the choice of dishes for breakfast is extensive, but on the 5th day everything is already boring
• the sea in November is quite violent, people did not swim much. A lot of garbage is thrown ashore, but the beach is promptly cleaned.
• the hotel staff brought a welcome bonus (cakes, fruit basket and beer) after a while and there was a slightly awkward situation when they had to meet an employee after a shower in a towel
• the resort is only developing, we were probably not quite in season yet, because many places around were closed and started working only on weekends
We stayed at the hotel for 20 days about the BB system (breakfast).
The impressions are very positive, the service is at a high level, but there are minor nuances with the infrastructure.
The details are below.
INTERIOR AND ROOM
The hotel is new and modern.
The interior is decorated in Caribbean style.
The room is cleaned daily, but it is better to leave the cleaning button on, otherwise they may miss it.
The sound insulation in the room is normal, you can't hear the neighbors.
At the entrance and then a week later, a basket of fruit, freshly squeezed juices and 4 cakes were left as a compliment.
BREAKFASTS
Beautiful! The quality of the products, the variety - everything is excellent.
There are European and Asian dishes, fruits (papaya, longan, pitahaya, local apples, watermelon, melon, etc.), the menu is almost the same every day, but in 20 days we did not get tired.
There is a coffee machine, you can make coffee in it yourself, if there are a lot of people, then the barista makes some of the orders.
A lot of locals come on weekends, queues form, it's better to come for breakfast early or later.
territory
Well maintained, but very small. It is practically non-existent.
2 swimming pools on site.
One of them is on the second level with a depth of about 1.3 m, you can swim.
There are few sun beds at this pool, and it's not always possible to lie down on the days of local arrivals.
The pool on the first level is larger in area, there are plenty of sun beds around it, but it is very shallow, below the knee. Most vacationers do not use it, even those with children go to the second-level pool.
I'm not a fan of swimming in the pool, but given the swirling sea, I wanted to swim somewhere comfortable, so we used it every day after lunch.
beach
The beach is wide, long, and sandy.
There is no concrete on it.
We were swimming in front of the hotel, it's not difficult to cross the road.
Sun beds are free, but there are about 12 of them, not always enough. You can buy something in a cafe and lie on their sun beds.
There are rescuers who are very careful that no one goes behind the buoys.
There were strong waves in winter, and a knee-deep paddling pool formed near the shore. For those who did not like waves, they could lie down and sometimes even swim in it.
The water is not turquoise, but cloudy.
Modern cafes have been built along the yarn, but most of them are not working.
There is one place with sports equipment rental.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
It was my husband's birthday at the time of our stay at the hotel, but we did not receive any compliments on this occasion.
We also booked a New Year's Eve dinner. When we came to the celebration, it turned out that we were not included in the lists.
We were nervous for about 50 minutes, and they couldn't find a table for us. After that, the table was found, but no one apologized, and they did not give a number to participate in the New Year's lottery, which they gave to all the other guests. I won't hide it, the mood was ruined.
INFRASTRUCTURE
The territory of this part of Phan Thiet (Nova World) resembles more like the scenery for a movie: cute houses like in Florida, a beautiful square, a circus, entertainment complexes for children, but everything seems to have died out, there are no people on the streets, no one lives in the houses.
There is a free minibus that takes you around the NovaWorld resort.
There is a city bus 6 running to Phan Thiet, but it was not possible to figure out where it stops and what schedule it runs on. The cost of a taxi ride to the city is about $ 20 one way.
There are more than enough cafes for lunch and dinner if you are satisfied not with modern restaurants, but with local cafes, not always stylish and beautiful, but with delicious local food.
We liked Kolya's cafe.
This is a Vietnamese man who studied in Leningrad 40 years ago. The menu of his cafe is quite large, there are exotic dishes, and more simple and understandable. The menu is available in three languages, which is also very convenient.
You can also buy excursions at normal prices from Kolya and exchange currency.
By the way, you can't exchange currency anywhere else in NovaWorld. Hotels and jewelry stores in the area do not change it.
Kolya also has several adorable dogs (a cross between dwarf spitz) and 2 cats.
The moped was rented in front of the Radisson Hotel, the owner is excellent, the mopeds are in good condition and the prices are favorable. Shipping from Phan Thiet or Mui Ne was significantly more expensive. We rode a moped around all the nearby attractions and even reached Dalat. It would be very boring to live in NovaWorld without a moped.
The hotel is like in the picture)
This is my second trip to Vietnam, this time I was in Phan Thiet.
The hotel is striking from afar, an unusual structure in burgundy shades, a lot of wood, an interesting concept, it seems that you really live on a pirate ship. But about everything in order.
1. Check-in - there were no problems with it. Upon arrival, they checked me in, took my suitcase, gave me information about the hotel and sent me for a walk while they prepared the room.
2. The territory is beautiful, several pools, there is a shallow one for children, there is an infinity pool for adults, beautiful, clean. Towels are brought and taken away, your comfort is monitored.
3. Room - checked in around 12:00, I upgraded the category to a suite, it's called Admiral. A large two-room suite with two bathrooms, a living room, a master bedroom and a balcony. I really liked it, a lot of natural materials, the styling of the bar shelf for a suitcase is just a delight.
4. Location - the territory of the hotel is small, but there are enough places for everyone on weekdays, the hotel is empty, and there is somewhere to walk. The hotel is located on the territory of a cottage village, near small shops, restaurants and a luna park, I had enough of this, I did not go to the city, I only went on excursions.
5. Buffet breakfast, there is always something to eat, not just wow, but the choice is great, I have never been hungry, the Admiral Executive Club is open from Friday to Sunday, if you have access to it, it is better to go there for breakfast, a pleasant place, fewer people. Dinner was on the menu, all positions were available. Snack or salad + hot dish + drink. The food is delicious. This is not Turkey, this is Asia, don't even try to compare)
6. Spa – I went for a massage, I liked it, at the beginning and at the end they give out local drinks and cookies, unusual in taste, but pleasant.
7. The beach is the trouble here, it's just a dream to walk along it, but I didn't dare cry, there were no waves in the afternoon and early in the morning, but a lot of garbage washed ashore, employees clean up part of the hotel, but this, alas, does not help. Therefore, if you want the sea, you will have to go to another beach.
8. Trouble number 2 is the Chinese and the local population from Friday to Sunday, until the weekend I lived in the haven of serenity and enjoyed the peace and quiet. But on weekends, the hotel fills up, it gets very noisy and it's more difficult to get a sun lounger by the pool. Keep this in mind, take excursions for these days)
The main advantage of this hotel is the staff, they really want to help you.
It is important that no one speaks Russian, English is known at the reception and in the restaurant. I was missing my English and the Vietnamese translator on my phone.
Therefore, if you want a good hotel with an interesting interior, friendly faces and the sea is not important to you, then you can safely go to Mövenpick Resort Phan Thiet
