One of the best museums in the world!
One of the biggest and most popular. The Louvre's collection houses some of the most famous masterpieces of art and historical objects.
The Louvre in Paris is an architectural monument and the richest museum, unparalleled in the diversity and completeness of its collections, their artistic and historical value. Originally, the Louvre was a royal palace (1546-19 centuries, architects P. Lesko, Levo, K. Perrault, etc.; sculptural decoration by J.Goujon, interior design Sh.Lebrun et al.), built on the site of the castle.
Noble ladies were available to their cavaliers, even if it was the Queen!
Opening date: 1793
Date of foundation: 1792
A great versatile museum! A huge number of paintings, masterpieces of painting, a beautiful hall representing Sumerian, Akkadian and Persian culture, an excellent exposition of ancient Egyptian objects, richly represented Hellenic ceramics, a small but very interesting hall of idols of Africa and Oceania, sculptural masterpieces of the Greeks, Romans and other cultures, samples of weapons and armor from different countries and eras, an interesting hall-a treasure trove featuring the largest gems, as well as beautifully decorated interiors. I was there in October, but there were sooooo many visitors. It's good that I bought a ticket in advance online and got to the museum quickly enough. For guests with an Internet ticket, the entrance is slightly away from the glass pyramid, and the staff will show you the way to it. Inside, you can get a free map of the Louvre, which shows the location of the main masterpieces and attractions in different buildings and floors. The maps are available in different languages and it helps you navigate quickly and find the right room.
The Louvre is one of the most famous and majestic museums in the world, located in the heart of Paris. This historic palace impresses with its architecture and rich collection of works of art.
In the Louvre you can see the legendary "Mona Lisa" by Leonardo da Vinci, the mysterious "Venus de Milo", the majestic "Nika of Samothrace" and many other masterpieces. The museum covers art from different eras and cultures, from Ancient Egypt to the Renaissance.
A walk through the halls of the Louvre is a real journey through time and the world of art. This is a place that is definitely worth a visit to anyone who comes to Paris! 🎨🏛️✨
I love art, especially painting. And finally, my little dream came true: I saw a masterpiece of world art - the very Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci! Of course, you can also see Venus de Milo, Cupid and Psyche, Nika of Samothrace, etc. But still, nothing compares to the Mona Lisa. There was a long queue for this painting, you can see in the photo, and people stand for almost an hour just to come up to it and admire it.
The museum is huge! And if you go there, then take into account the whole day. You won't regret it and it's worth it!!!!!
By the way, for the information of lovers of the Louvre. There are 2 Louvres in the world: one in Paris, the second guess where? - That's right, in Abu Dhabi, If someone was there, tell us about your impressions :) I was in Abu Dhabi, but I didn't have enough time for the Louvre😔
An amazing place where art and history meet modernity! The architecture of the museum is a real masterpiece: the play of light under the dome creates a magical atmosphere. The collection is unique: from ancient artifacts to works by modern artists. We were particularly impressed with the interactive expositions and thoughtful design of the halls. The staff is friendly, there are audio guides in Russian. A must—visit even for those who are not a fan of museums - here you get inspired! 🌟🖼️
I really enjoy traveling to different countries. My dream came true, and I visited Paris. Of course, I couldn't help but visit the famous Louvre Museum in Paris. This is a huge, beautifully organized space with a rich history and unique exhibits that house the greatest works of art of all time.. The Louvre is just an amazing museum! After visiting him, I was left with a vivid impression that cannot be described in words. You definitely need to see this place with your own eyes.
**Review of the Louvre Museum**
I recently visited one of the most famous museums in the world, the Louvre. It was an unforgettable journey into history and art, which left deep impressions in me.
The first thing that struck me was the huge size of the museum. The Louvre occupies several buildings, and it will take a long time to get around all its expositions. I was impressed by the variety of works of art presented here. From ancient Egyptian artifacts to Impressionist masterpieces, the Louvre offers visitors a veritable treasure trove of world art.
I especially remember sculptures and paintings dedicated to ancient mythology. They are executed with incredible skill and convey all the beauty and grandeur of the ancient gods and heroes. I was also impressed by the works of Leonardo da Vinci, including his famous Mona Lisa.
The Louvre has several permanent exhibitions dedicated to different eras and styles. In addition, temporary exhibitions are regularly held here, which allow you to see new works of art and get acquainted with different cultures.
It is worth noting the interiors of the museum itself. They are made in different styles and eras, which gives the Louvre a special atmosphere. Here you can see elements of Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and other styles.
Overall, visiting the Louvre is a real cultural experience. Here you can not only enjoy the works of art, but also learn a lot about the history and culture of different countries. I am sure that I will come back here more than once to continue my journey through the world of art.
A visit to the Louvre makes a deep impression. A unique museum, the oldest in the world, with a rich collection of cultural values. An architectural masterpiece. One visit is not enough, since the Louvre has over 400 halls and a huge number of exhibits are concentrated. The area allocated for them is slightly more than 60 thousand square meters, and the total area is more than 160 thousand square meters. To go through all the halls of the museum and examine the exhibits, it will take a week, so it is better to determine in advance the priorities of visiting the expositions and the route. This will save you time and energy, and will give you the opportunity to enjoy what you see.
To say that this is one of the best museums in the world is nothing new.
The architecture of the building, clear navigation, convenience and comfort for visitors.
Which of the tips for the first visit can be given?:
- tickets are not checked at the entrance at the time of entry (there are two large queues in front of the glass dome. Entrance by ticket time), check only the inspection of things and bags
- then there will be a point: a wardrobe and a place to store bags - everything is clear and convenient with cameras there. Go deeper, there will be a lot of empty cells.
- do not stand in a hard toilet in a queue on the first floor. She's moving very slowly, you'll lose time. There are toilets on all floors
- if you only need a Gioconda, signs everywhere lead to it.
A large and interesting exposition of sculptures and an interesting collection of new world countries.
Leonardo is represented not only by Gioconda, there are other magnificent creations of his.
☝️ The Louvre - if you don't get to the museum , what should you do ?)
1. Go to the shopping gallery under the Louvre
2. There are coffee shops, toilets, a large footcourt
3. Find the exhibition hall (free of charge)
4. Go shopping for bags, jewelry, clothes, and more.
5. And of course a lot of souvenirs from the Louvre
It's nice here 👍
One of the largest and most popular museums in the world. Previously, it was an ancient royal palace. The Louvre's collection houses some of the most famous masterpieces of art and historical objects. We were unable to visit the museum this time due to the lack of tickets. We will definitely visit next time.
It's an amazing place. They entered through the arch, not through the pyramid, the queue was smaller. Magnificent works! Of course, the Italians' wing is full all the time. I recommend it. It is better to take an individual guide.
I've always enjoyed traveling to different countries. One of the places I visited was the Louvre Museum in Paris. A large well-organized museum, interesting excursions, electronic translators, famous paintings. One thing is upsetting, it is very difficult to get there now.
To our generation, raised on Dumas's novels, the very name of this palace means a lot, even though none of us were there at the time. And that means you've visited. There are no words for how cool it is. Architecture, history, impressions and memories of the adventures of the Aramises and de la Molay, as well as the Schombergs and Livaro.. The royal residence from the time of Charles the Fifth to Louis the Fourteenth, who fled from here to Versailles.. Plus, the largest art museum, which is visited by more than 10 million people annually.
I've been wanting to go to Paris for a long time...
I really wanted to visit the Louvre, and we devoted the whole day to this - from 6 to 0. We saw both the sunset and the rain there with a beautiful reflection
What can I say? Everything is very cool and cool, the museum has a lot of exhibits, I especially like the triangular glass roof - the upper part of the museum.
I advise everyone, it's worth the money!
One of the best museums in the world! It's worth buying a ticket in advance, but you still have to stand in line.
It's very stuffy inside in summer, it's worth stocking up on water and planning a route in advance or seeing what specific attractions you want to see. If you allocate one day, you can see almost all the famous paintings. They are marked separately in the guidebook.
I recommend visiting the jewel room separately!
It's an incredible place where you instantly feel like you're in another world, especially when it's been your lifelong dream. An insane number of outstanding works that you want to look at for hours.
He impressed me. Peramide at the entrance. A lot of paintings, cultures. And the Mona Lisa painting has a lot of people who can't get enough of it. Be careful at the entrance of the tsegani who cheated. I was in 2016. Maybe things are different now.
The best museum in the world! It is beautiful in everything , from the place where it is located to the filling. The first reason why it is worth visiting the French capital.
I've been to the Louvre 3 times, but that was a long time ago, in 2008, 2010, 2012.
For comparison, there are only 2 visits to the Hermitage (it's a long way to go - from pl.Muzhestvo metro station to Gostiny Dvor!!)
The oldest museum on the planet with a rich exposition, several hundred halls, over 150 thousand square meters, the famous Mona Lisa by Leonardo DaVinci is exhibited here.
I visited this cultural masterpiece in the fall of 2023. I think there is no need to say that the Louvre collection is worth seeing, there are a huge number of exhibits. Therefore, I would like to note that a trip to the Louvre in one day will be more of a challenge for you, rather than a pleasant pastime. Of course, if you have the opportunity to make an appointment in advance, this is the best option. However, I did not stand for long in a rather large queue at first glance to the museum itself (about 15 minutes). It took longer to buy tickets (about 30 minutes) for cash. Self-service vending machines were not occupied by the word at all.
The Louvre Is Simply Incomparable, simply Magnificent. It Is A Masterpiece Of Architecture. I admired Chesa three times without taking my eyes off her. It's Colossal. I am Delighted and Captivated by the Legendary Greatest Palace and the Legendary Greatest Museum, which itself is the Greatest and Priceless Work of Art by Bravissimo.
crazy queue, you stand for 3 hours just to go in, with a ticket purchased in advance, there is pandemonium, there is a terrible queue for the jokonje, for laymen, there is nothing to do there, waste time and money, you need to go there, only those who appreciate real art
I visited the Louvre in 2018, but my impressions in 2024 are vivid. The square, the pyramid, the monument to Louis XIV, the entrance without a queue with a group of tourists, Mona Lisa, Nika, Venus ... Three women and thousands more masterpieces of humanity are waiting for you. If there is an opportunity to visit, use it.
A wonderful museum with a magnificent collection of antiquities, gallery, sculpture
The best museum in the world in which it is desirable to register in advance
And it's not worth seeing everything in one day
The impression is not the same
Just an amazing museum! We went with my wife in December 2022 and were very surprised! Lots of paintings by famous artists, as well as sculptures by famous sculptors! There was no limit to our surprise! The price was very pleasantly surprised for the entrance of only 15€ per person! The WiFi network works very well! The location is just great! And most of all, I was struck by the jewelry of famous kings and queens of old times! I strongly advise everyone to definitely stay in this historic place!
One of the most ancient beautiful and popular museums in the world with a rich history and with the greatest works of all time as well as the architectural heritage of the country
When we lived near Paris, I went to the Louvre every day. There was a student ID of the Russian art college quoted. Artists work with oil paints in the halls of the museum on any day, and it is not forbidden there, not like here! You can't get around the whole Louvre, that's for sure, so I looked, first of all, Aphrodite of Milo (the famous Venus, without hands, if anyone doesn't know), the hall of Michelangelo, Rembrandt and, of course, Leonardo, the lady with the ermine, the lady with the feroniere and, of course, Gioconda, Mona Lisa. Unfortunately, it is not made with light-resistant paints, so the hall is dim. It was very difficult to watch the Japanese crowding around and clicking flashes, despite the fact that it is forbidden. A policeman stands and repeats like a parrot: "But Flash!", but no one listens to him and everyone is filming. It was almost impossible to approach the painting. And it's a pity that I didn't look at Gioconda enough. Actually, I went to Paris only for the sake of art museums. She was in all of them. The Louvre is impressive.
A huge complex where it is easy to spend the whole day and not have time to get around everything. An interesting idea with an audio guide in the form of a Nintendo 3DS. You always know where you are, where you've already been, and where to go next. It's funny to see Mona Lisa's huge tops and almost no one else's equally famous masterpieces
The architecture is beautiful, there are a lot of people in Paris, of course, so you need to be more attentive to personal things, otherwise you can stay without them.

My favorite museum. I like to admire it for hours. Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa MASTERPIECE is in the Louvre. Paris. A friend said that they had never been allowed so close before. Now the photos are full of tourist pictures up close. The museum is changing views and expanding horizons. After we went to Starbucks, it was located there.
A delightful place!
In addition to good access to view paintings, there are wonderful cafes and a restaurant where it is fashionable to have a snack, lunch.
One of the museums where you should definitely visit, now there is also a collection from the Museum of Naples.
Be sure to reserve in advance and comfortable shoes.
The audio guide is only in English, or rather not only but it is not in Russian)
Oooooh about the Louvre, I do not know what words to praise. This is the number 1 museum in the world that emphasizes the beauty of the world, my words cannot describe what you can see with your eyes and get into all the times of winter life. Hot once every person has to get there
Look for the 817-819 hall in the Richelieu wing.Durer (the first self-portrait in history) and Bosch (the ship of fools) live nearbyTwo masterpieces of the Gioconda level. We hid from tourists and Rubens. you don't need to come without a ticket by 11-13:00. You will spend 4 hours in the queue at the entrance. Please note that the exit from the Louvre is through the dungeon and the maze of the Shopping Center. It's only good for diggers here.
I went to look at the drawings, saw some kind of painted girl and decided to shake her off the elbow, but she turned out to be stronger, but I liked it
Great! Even tickets purchased online do not guarantee quick access to the museum.
But the queue is smaller. We arrived at 14.30 and went in at 15.15.
Toilets are only downstairs. You need to get out of all the halls completely.
Tickets are freely available, admission is strictly according to the time indicated on the ticket. And even under this condition, there is a queue at the entrance and inspection for about 30 minutes. Russian Russian version of the map is available, but there is no audio guide in Russian. The museum is interesting, time flies by unnoticed.
A world treasure trove, no need for words, you need to see, well-known masterpieces of art are better to look at from the opening, then you will have to wade through the impenetrable wall of the Chinese😂 👍👍👍
