The old Soviet library in the best sense of the word.
Very rare publications can be found here, but most of the collection consists of dilapidated literature, read to the holes. Nevertheless, the library is in great demand by vacationers and locals.
The head of the library, Tsita Leontievna, is a fan of her business. She does everything in her power to preserve and increase the book collection. The books are arranged in accordance with the BBK, there are no electronic catalogs. Of all the ICT tools, an old Canon printer is available, working intermittently. There are problems with the delivery and removal of waste paper.
The library premises occupy part of the Pokrovsky Church. There have been no repairs here for a long time, cracks on the walls, leaks on the ceiling. A striking contrast with the rebuilt building of the Novo Afonskaya Secondary School, whose students are active readers of the library.
