If you have seen everything in the historical part of the city of Bukhara, I strongly recommend visiting the most magnificent place "The Summer Palace of the Emir of Bukhara Storari Mohi Hossa". A wonderful historical landmark! The territory of the palace is impressive in its size, with a large number of museums. There are a lot of greenery, vineyards on the territory, and a huge number of peacocks that can be fed by hand. There are small boutiques with local dealers of handmade products from souvenirs, paintings to garments. You can get to the palace from the old town by taxi.I highly recommend it!
Cool, the tour is inexpensive. The interiors are rich.
Although the painting of the walls seems garish up close, but when you look from afar, the picture, like in a kaleidoscope, develops into an oriental fairy-tale drawing. There are antique suzane embroidery, Emir's outfits, shoes, an antique refrigerator, vases. Peacocks roam around the palace grounds.
A must-visit without fuss
A great palace. It is easy to get there by taxi and it is quite inexpensive. We took an individual tour (very inexpensive) and very informative. There are many peacocks walking quietly around the territory. We bought a bag of food at the entrance. We got great photos of how we practically feed the peacocks with our hands)
The trip to the summer palace of the Emir of Bukhara turned out to be a real magic! This historical monument struck me with its beauty, splendor and sophistication of architecture. Walking through the spacious halls of the palace, it was as if I had entered another era, when great rulers lived and worked here.
The gardens around the palace turned out to be a real paradise where you could enjoy the silence, solitude and beauty of nature. All the design of the gardens was thought out to the smallest detail, every corner shone and radiated an atmosphere of tranquility and tranquility.
The history of this place is felt at every step, and immersion in the atmosphere of antiquity and grandeur of the Emir's palace was an unforgettable experience. I am grateful for the opportunity to visit here and experience all the greatness and beauty of this historical monument. I recommend to everyone who visits Bukhara, be sure to look into this amazing summer palace!
A very beautiful place to walk, easily accessible by Yandex taxi from the center. There are several buildings to visit, it is interesting to visit with a guide. There are cafes, souvenirs are sold, peacocks walk everywhere
A cute palace with beautiful oriental-style halls inside!Guides tell funny stories and tall tales about the owner and his preferences. We took a taxi on our own, it is located very close to Bukhara, you buy a ticket at the ticket office and walk as much as you want. Peacocks walk around the territory and a maclure tree grows, tinctures from the fruits of which are sold right there. You can admire and buy the products of local craftsmen!
We visited in early March. The Emir of Bukhara's Palace is located outside the city (15 min.by car) in a picturesque place. There are a huge number of peacocks walking in the park, which can be fed for 10,000 sums.(the guides say that these are really the descendants of the Emir's birds, who have always lived here). The luxury of decoration inside the Palace (an interweaving of European and Oriental styles) is striking: the interior of the halls is decorated with gold, Japanese vases, Chinese porcelain, national clothes and shoes. All this is the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century. The exterior clearly needs cosmetic repairs. But I recommend visiting this place. From the hustle and bustle of the city, you find peace and solitude there. There is a paid toilet and intrusive vendors on site.
A wonderful place to walk, lots of peacocks, be sure to go wherever it's open, it's very beautiful inside. It is located at a distance from the city, but a taxi is inexpensive and will bring you quickly.
A good place to relax on a hot day. There is a garden with peacocks where you can relax in the shade of a vineyard.
It is located near the city, you can take a Yandex taxi for 100-150 rubles of the Russian Federation. The city's "bombers" are asking twice as much.
An interesting tour of the park and the ensemble of palaces.
If you have seen everything in Bukhara, visit this place.
The entrance price is standard: 40 thousand soums per person, and the same amount of excursion (300-350 rubles of the Russian Federation)
It takes longer to drive than to watch. The only buildings where the Emir himself lived and where he received delegations. Everything inside is made in the likeness of St. Petersburg palaces, but in a very reduced copy and much more modest. The same tiled stoves, the same corridor system of room arrangement. That's all, actually. Peacocks, which are allowed to walk around the territory during the day, but almost all without feathers, and you can buy these feathers in retail stores). The toilet is on site, but again it is paid.
A beautiful palace. Peacocks walk freely around the territory. There is a point where several generations of the family of minters work.
An interesting tour is being conducted.
I really want to get there again. It's just an oriental fairy tale. Peacocks are walking everywhere, birds are singing. The murals on the walls in the palace give a feeling of lasting admiration for the skill of the people of that time, their imagination and patience.
It is very quiet and pleasant to walk on the territory.
Beauty.
The summer residence of the Emir of Bukhara impresses with its splendor and simplicity!
And peacocks and preserved vases and the interior decor give relish to everything and plunge into the abyss of history!
The beautiful summer residence of the ruler of Bukhara. Only the harem building is kind of puny. If we consider that in addition to 4 official wives, he had 21 concubines, they could only be placed side by side)))) We were lucky when we arrived, except for one cleaning lady, there were practically no people there. They offer coffee with spices, their "highlight". Well.... For an amateur, maybe someone will like it.
I recommend it for a visit)
It is necessary to accompany the guide, they tell us very interestingly, emotionally with love for their country!
Communication with peacocks will appeal to both adults and children.
Not far from the city, no more than 15 minutes away, taxi prices are very affordable (no more than 100 rubles from almost anywhere in the city)
The architecture of Bukhara is fascinating. Ancient buildings are adjacent to modern buildings. The kindness of local residents, delicious local cuisine, affordable prices, dry climate, all this makes it attractive to travel to Uzbekistan. I hope to come back here again.
A great place to walk and explore the Emir's residence. Very beautiful interiors and good exhibitions. The territory is well maintained, it is pleasant to walk and sit in the shade of trees, peacocks walk around, which you can feed.
Hovli Durun is a courtyard where the main museums are very beautiful and be sure to visit Honai Hasht, where you will be told about Olga Alexandrovna, the sister of Nicholas II😉
Bukhara is an ancient city. And, of course, while in Bukhara, we could not help but visit the summer residence of the last emir - Mokhi Khos. The palace is located outside the city. Summer cozy, with a beautiful garden, peacocks and a swimming pool. Unfortunately, probably, few funds are allocated for its maintenance, but the remnants of former luxury are impressive. Carved ceilings, mosaic stained glass windows, wall paintings, Chinese vases, chandeliers, mirrors....
Thank you to the administration and staff of the museum for preserving the exhibits and we can touch the history. There were positive emotions from visiting the museum
It is very beautiful, we were on our own, entrance is paid 49 thousand sums per person, the territory is beautiful, peacocks roam. The grapes are growing. If necessary, you can take a guided tour at the entrance. We were lucky to get to a mini performance by local artists, dancing and singing.
It's a very beautiful place. It reminded me of Bakhchisarai in Crimea. Beautiful loud-voiced peacocks and a magnificent pond with huge fish of unknown breed. I also remember the delicious coffee in the cool shade of the garden with colorful tables, where my wife and I sat with pleasure after the end of an exciting tour.
The Summer Palace is not only a unique architectural structure. This is a story that is so close to us.
The first refrigerator
Peacocks
A unique ganch
How many mirrors and beautiful interior details
The Summer Palace of the last Emir of Bukhara is definitely worth a visit. It is located just 5km north of the city, the most convenient way to get there is by taxi. The architectural ensemble consists of an ornate reception palace, a palace with bedrooms and a guest house, where there are expositions of clothing and everyday life of old times. The territory is well maintained, there are more than 40 peacocks)
Beauty. The view is impressive. The excursions are very interesting. The exhibition needs to be updated and more exhibits. The exposition has hardly changed, and in some halls there is no cleanliness at all. The exterior facade of the Harem needs to be repaired. And the restoration of the exterior facade of the tea room does not match the norms
A beautiful park, wonderful museum exhibitions.
I especially liked Bukhara embroidery and ancient oriental costumes. There is an aviary with peacocks in the park, which sometimes go out for a walk to the delight of tourists. I recommend you to visit.
I really liked this place, away from the hustle and bustle of the city! We got there by taxi quickly and not expensive! There are peacocks walking around the territory, there are cafes and many shops! We took strawberries and apricots with us and just sat and admired the country estate of the Emir
This is another square for souvenir trade, for which you need a ticket to enter
Of the interesting things, peacocks walk freely inside, you can buy food for them, but there are already kilograms of this food scattered there, peacocks do not peck at it.
We were at the palace in October 2023. It was raining, which prevented us from enjoying the privacy of this beautiful place. The palace is located outside the city (15-20 min. drive from Bukhara), this is the summer residence of the Emir of Bukhara. The palace "Sitorai Mokhi-Khosa" (kon. XIX - beginning. XX century) - "The Palace of the Moon and Stars". The palace is an amazing mixture of Russian, Eastern and European architecture, because the then ruler of Bukhara, Akhadkhan, sent a group of architects to Yalta and St. Petersburg to exchange experience before the construction began. On the territory there is a necropolis, an artificial pond, and a large pen for peacocks. Everything is well maintained. Useful plants are planted everywhere, which our tourists plucked (with permission) for tea: mint, thyme, sage. A sincere, and very beautiful place.
Yes, it's a long way, but a cheap taxi solves the problem.
It is worth a trip, especially with children, because there are many peacocks on the territory, which can be fed for some money 🙂
Beautiful, calm, quiet, clean. I arrived for the first time, the beginning of May - more comfortable weather, without a guide - everything is in the net, the staff are friendly, they will fill in the gaps)) I spent 3 hours there. I'm thrilled!
A very interesting and informative tour. It is necessary to take a guide, pay immediately at the entrance. It's not interesting without a guide, but with a guide it's super!
Quite a vast area. Peacocks are walking on the territory. The palace is a mixture of Western and eastern architecture. The second building houses a museum. Definitely worth a visit. At the very least, this will add variety to the series of madrasas, mosques and mausoleums.
In fact, this palace was built for the Russian tsar Nicholas 1, who came to Bukhara at the invitation of the Emir, and only then it became the summer residence of the Emir, it was built more in the European style but with oriental shades.
It's a very beautiful place. Peacocks walk all over the territory where there is vegetation. The style of the buildings is eclectic. It is fascinating and soothing. I highly recommend it)
It's beautiful here! The palace somehow reminded me of Bakhchisarai. Cool park, green, different birds, great! The interior items and furniture are beautiful. Come for a walk))
To walk around the park for that kind of money? The only room with an exposition in which there are signs with a description executed in small text and standing at a great distance... Who is it all made for? We wasted our time.
My impressions are not clear.
Take a guide, it's hard to understand the story yourself. Very beautiful interiors. The sellers on the square are the most annoying. Cool idea of a cafe with chess, we were playing. The coffee there is terribly strong, and the spices made it just poison)))) for me
You will have to take a taxi from the city center. There is a place to walk. You can take pictures in national costumes. There is a pond and a lot of peacocks. There are exhibitions of the interiors of the palace.
Super! A must-visit. A very beautiful palace- stucco, stoves.. National clothes are in one pavilion. It was too late to get into the harem. It closes earlier.
And peacocks. There are many of them. They are not afraid. They almost eat from the hand. They spread their tails. My daughter was feeding, her eyes were shining with happiness. A beautiful lake.
