A very beautiful square with a very beautiful and majestic monument. As in all parks, you can relax there and forget about your problems at least for these minutes of rest. Very very beautiful!

I saw reviews from some of the monuments to "grandfather Lenin". Here is one of probably the most original and interestingly still respected and maintained in good condition. This is a monument to Lenin in Ashgabat. It stands in the center of the "Lenin square" in the city center. If there is an urgent need for the current authorities to demolish (for example, the monument to Kaigisyz Atabayev, the first Prime Minister of Turkmenistan) Lenin was abandoned by the "highest command". He was credited with the creation of the TSR (even after his death). The monument is really very beautiful and very original. The pedestal is "sheathed" with majolica with national ornaments typical of carpets of different Turkmen tribes. It's really beautiful! The monument was laid on the day of the funeral of the pitchfork. The money was collected all over the world! There is an inscription on the pedestal - "To the leader from the workers and daykhans of Turkmenistan." No formalism! Just from the bottom of my heart! From all the people! The sculptor is E. R. Tripolskaya, the architect is A. A. Karelin, the ceramist is N. I. Nazarov. And it's also worth mentioning that there is a monument to Alexander Pushkin across the street from the Lenin Square in the square of the Teacher's House. And yes! It is also installed on the money collected by the people... Construction began in 1899. A beautiful, very worthy monument! Architect A. I. Butuzov, caster K. A. Berto. Well, for a snack! Across the other road, on the pediment of the former party archive, there is a bas-relief by Ernst Neizvestny (1975, the last work in the USSR). I myself call it the "Face of Asia", it is easy to trace the "path" from the Middle Ages through the fall of tsarism, the civil War and the Great Patriotic War to Sputnik. In general, an extremely interesting place! I recommend.
