The best location of the hotel! Cozy territory, small houses, fruit trees, a restaurant with a view of the ancient ruins! Great beach: sandy bottom, long gradual entry into the sea, and there is also the opportunity to watch the fish while swimming with a mask! There are rocks/reefs where flocks of different fish swim - and you don't need to swim far away! There are always free sun beds.
Meals - breakfast and dinner. It's very tasty. But tea, coffee and water can only be taken for breakfast. For dinner, it is already paid.
Minuses:
- water, tea and coffee are only for breakfast. At other times, it is paid. You need to buy water all the time (there is a supermarket nearby. And also in the hotel - but more expensive)
- there is not enough kettle and tea set in the rooms (mug, spoon, etc.) Take a boiler with you.
- Wi-Fi is paid (14 euros for 11 days at the time of June 2024)
- beach towels are paid - 3 euros per week. It is better to buy beautiful bedding there and take it with you later. Or take your own.
But all these disadvantages are covered by the location! Walking in the old town every day is an incredible pleasure! In the morning, before breakfast, you can walk in the ruins, walk through the port along the embankment and return to the hotel.
We stayed at this hotel in September 2024. The first time in Turkey, not in the "5").
We chose it because of its location, near the old town, where we walked every day, with countless shops, cafes, restaurants.
A restaurant with a beautiful view of the ruins. The breakfasts are normal, and the dinners too. We weren't hungry. Considering that this is a "two", the food is quite good.
The rooms are interesting. They look more like Asian hotels.
The territory is small, but very pretty.
I stayed at this hotel 2 times, in September 2022 and in September 2023, I am very happy with my vacation! The food is quite decent, it is closer to the beach than to the restaurant, there are always sun beds, daily cleaning, wet, there were no problems with towels for a small tip. The staff is very friendly, they recognized me, welcomed me when I arrived for the second time.
On occasion, I needed a vacuum cleaner, but the hotel does not have one (only wet cleaning), so the boss brought me his home. It was very nice to receive such attention!
The location is above all praise, breakfast and dinner overlooking the ruins of the ancient city. People are driving, walking past in droves along the road, and you live near these sights!
NEVER take number 306. There is an anthill in front of the entrance and a path of wiry ants runs through the house. In a couple of days you will have them in your clothes, suitcases, on your bed and toothbrushes. Also, the ventilation is made so that it is just a hole without a fan in the bathroom wall. That is, with a certain wind direction, all the dust and dirt from the neighboring utility room pulls towards you.
Also, when checking into the hotel, forget that there is anything free or convenient. For example, you need to buy wi-fi (5 euros seems to be for 1 device), you are given one large towel per person (that is, there are no face towels), parking along the paid, but they decided not to expose us (they said about 3 euros per day), buy more beach towels, but they do not change them. The room cleaning is mediocre, there is no fresh air supply, the houses are made of plywood. We took a room for 2 adults and a child (1 year and 9 months). As a result, the room had a double bed and a 2-storey bed, a bedside table, a wall table and a wardrobe - that's all. No chairs, no shit. There is no shower gel or shampoo. There's a piece of soap and that's it. There is a refrigerator, but there is no kettle and glasses, which is problematic with a small child who eats porridge. I'm not talking about the veranda - look at the ants above. The contingent is Russians and elderly Germans.
Now the positive points (if you are a trash traveler and everything above didn't bother you): the territory of the hotel is very green, the sea is really from 50 meters to 150, depending on the room, but on the territory of the hotel). It seems like the beach is private and not fenced, so anyone can swim, and the sun beds are watched (by the way, sun beds and umbrellas are free, which surprised me here).
The place around is the historical ruins of Side, quite colorful.
As a result: a day cost about 5 thousand rubles. Thousands for 2 would be ready for all this, but not for such.
I highly RECOMMEND IT!!!
Below I attach photos of hoods and ants
We chose Leda beach hotel not only because of its suitability for recreation with young children - a shallow and private beach, a shallow private children's pool, but also the proximity of the ruins of ancient Side, the ability to quickly get to the ruins, as well as to the Eastern Beach (Dogu plaji), where the best morning Sun, as well as paragliders. Side himself was also in the vicinity at 2 min. from the Main City Gate named after the Emperors Titus and Vespasian, the one according to whose expression "money does not smell." The city berths are no more than 15 minutes away. And there are fish restaurants, and diving with all kinds of diving and snorkeling with a snorkel, and just boat trips with all kinds of sightseeing tours.
We also chose "Leda beach hotel" because of the proximity of the Side City Bus Station, which is only 5 minutes away on foot and outright savings on taxis.
The staff speaks English and even better German. There were no compatriots at all. Mostly Western and Northern Europe to choose from. But there were noticeably and noticeably more of us on the embankment. Moreover, with children, therefore, Leda beach hotel is the right choice for a holiday with children.
Even more compatriots were noticeable when they were brought to the city bus station by travel agents from remote hotels on excursions to Side.
Breakfast was quite usual for Turkey. It's a pity that genetics got to Turkish tomatoes too - they become rubbery like in Holland. But cucumbers and everything else for breakfast are simple and without comments - pancakes, scrambled eggs. tea, coffee, salads.
The dinner was more luxurious and closer in scope to lunch - soup, quite a variety of hot dishes, including meat, and not spicy. There were a lot of salads to choose from, from which we pressed only on something familiar.
The hotel was taken precisely because of the shallow sloping beach. Let it be small, but its own. Let it have a long entrance to the sea, but it is very convenient for relaxing with young children.
A children's pool for young children was also the reason for the choice. In general, I liked it - my son frolicked for his pleasure, the foliage from the lemon trees was cleaned daily with a net, so it was clean.
"Wi-Fi" without difficulty.
With regard to our number 107, it is worth noting interference from the air conditioners of either a neighboring hotel or a restaurant. installed on the handrails of our own hotel. When we left, they started putting the second one there. So I'm sorry to our relievers. It's not a construction site, but the noise is not the most noble.
Total - "Leda beach hotel" is simply tasteful, delicious, clean and purely hospitable in Turkish.
