I stayed for 6 days in a two-bed room. At first, the entrance to the building was alerted. There are no signs inside where to go next and everything looks a little unusual. There is usually no receptionist at the reception, but she always comes on the call. I lived in a two-bed room alone, in a room with 2 beds, a bedside table, a table, a chair, a wardrobe with a mirror and an air conditioner , a heater, it's very good for my money. The mattress is a little uncomfortable. You can order breakfast 250 rubles or wash your clothes, I do not remember the cost. Common plumbing units are separately m and w ( but one day, somehow a man turned out to be in the women's room ). Plus the showers: separate spacious cabins, the water was always hot. Cons: watering cans in some booths are broken in some booths with your height of 180 you just can't stand under them, they're chest-high, rusty shelves. In general, it is always clean, there was always paper in the toilets. There is a shared kitchen, large enough, there are 2 refrigerators and dishes. A huge plus of the hotel is that it is not far to the sea , there is a shell stop nearby from where you can go to other cities, and near all the sights, I walked around everything on foot. We rested in new Athos in August 2020, booked the hotel in advance, liked the location and price. We were not disappointed, a comfortable budget option.The owner is a positive, sociable person. In any questions, he goes to a meeting. They lived almost alone. Empty, spacious. The room has everything you need. There is always hot and cold water, unlike in Crimea. Nearby there is a well-maintained large park where swans live, many cafes and canteens, where, to my taste, they cook delicious (at Roma) and inexpensively. You can go boating, go to an open-air cinema on a white beach, visit local attractions that are within walking distance. Importantly, the sea is very clean, and warm, and not crowded, still 86 km from the border.There are a lot of greenery, palm trees, mountains in new Athos, there are no railways, no ships, no planes circling overhead, another dimension))).For an economical vacation, I recommend it!!!

The building was built in Soviet times, but the renovation inside is fresh, the furniture is new, the linen is snow-white, the advantage of Soviet construction is the high 3 meters ceilings, the room is cool and the air conditioner does not blow directly into the face and evenly cold air is distributed throughout the room. The hotel has two shared bathrooms, each with four showers and four cubicles with toilets, there were no queues, despite full occupancy in August, there is a shared kitchen with a stove, microwave and two refrigerators. Everything is clean. The soul of the hotel is the administrator Latif, who took care of us like family, thank him very much. We initially booked one week, but then extended it by one more.The price is ideal, only a tent is cheaper, or you need to go somewhere uphill. Minus is the noise from the street, but in the center it can not be avoided, however, if you sleep with the window closed, you can not hear it, next to the Seaside Park, where live music plays in the evenings and you can dance. In general, New Athos is probably the best city in Abkhazia, there are many historical places here (Anakopian fortress, Iverskaya Mountain, Simon the Canonite grotto, Green Canyon and Three Cauldrons, and of course the New Athos Monastery - we visited all this on foot, the orgomnaya embankment and huge endless beaches, a waterfall, an ancient railway station hanging over the lake, The children went to feed swans, ostriches and fish in the park every day.
