It's all good. The hotel is lovely, the staff is friendly, cleaning is done daily. A swimming pool with ocean views and a private bathroom on the balcony!!!
The only disadvantage is the kitchen ..... I bought large shrimp at the market, asked to cook. They made it delicious, but..... They changed my big ones to their small ones)))). And Caesar salad is on their menu, it's grass and crackers! No more ingredients (((

I visited the hotel from November 9 to November 19, 2024. After reading the reviews, I got ready for the worst case scenario. Nevertheless, she decided and did not regret her decision at all.
Yes, Lavanga is not a five or even four star hotel in Turkey or Egypt, but.. He doesn't have to be.
Nature: Majestic, beautiful, warm ocean, palm trees, friendly, open Sri Lankans.
As for the hotel, I did not notice any shortcomings (well, where are they not). Moreover, if you persistently search for them, you will certainly find them even in the seven-star. People, why spoil your vacation with your own negativity! You came to a wonderful country for a short time. Enjoy it!

We stayed at this hotel from January 28 to February 7, it's just a terrible Hotel, to begin with, as soon as we crossed the threshold of the hotel, the only Russian-speaking Lucky started cheating on money, took us to the basement and said that this was your room, while we paid extra at the travel agency for a room with an ocean view,but if you pay extra, then I'll put you in another room with an ocean view, as we later found out, he didn't do it only with us, as a result, we were moved into a room where the word cleaning is, I don't even know what it is, all the furniture is in poor condition, the bed was left from previous tourists., the refrigerator is dirty, there is no towel at all, the balcony is covered in pigeon droppings,there is water in the shower and the whole bathroom is in the water, the closet is dirty, it's scary to put things in there, there are no hangers in the closet,the photo of the hotel is outdated,the hotel needs renovation,during our stay at the hotel, locals held weddings, birthdays, It's just that the gatherings behaved inappropriately, embarrassing and inconvenient for vacationing tourists, unsanitary conditions, spicy and not tasty food, I would have closed this Hotel if it hadn't been for the devastation.I don't recommend this terrible Hotel to anyone!

My husband and I are vacationing at this hotel, I want to say right away that the photos have long been outdated and do not correspond to reality, and when I did not write the reviews, but this terrible Hotel I just have to warn you that this is the worst thing that has happened in my entire practice, the sanitation is all around, the rooms are in terrible condition, the bed is dirty, bedbugs in the bed, there are no towels at all, the refrigerator is dirty, the bolkon is in pigeon droppings, ants are all around, it's scary to hang things in the closet and there's nothing to do, they were lying in my chumadan, the food is spicy and not tasty, if I had the opportunity, I would close this Hotel for reconstruction, and there are a lot of local ones weddings are held, then birthdays, then just parties, there is no place in the pool, and music until the night, I definitely won't come back here and I don't advise you!

The hotel is on solid 3. Slightly outdated furniture, towels are not in the best condition, some rooms lack a wardrobe as such, the bathroom is separated by a door with frosted glass, which does not add sound insulation...
But... The location of the hotel is beyond praise! A beautiful beach, a sufficient number of sun beds, convenient access to the sea. Quite a variety and delicious breakfasts, there is an elevator, a good swimming pool. The beach with turtles is within walking distance.

We had a rest from February 14 to February 26, 2025, it's terribly simple! The hotel is terrible, filthy, the staff is disgusting, all the furniture is broken! Towels and toilet paper were beaten out with a fight. There are no breakfasts, there is nothing to eat from the word at all! On the 15th, they had a gay party from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., the whole hotel did not sleep at all, everyone complained, but the hotel management sent everyone far and for a long time! It's just hell!!!! I don't know where good reviews come from, it's a lie!!! I strongly do not recommend this hotel! The whole situation was saved by the ocean and nature!

We rested at the best hotel on the ocean coast Lavanga SPA in Hikkaduwa.
A great hotel for your money.
Polite and always smiling young staff, girls in national dresses, men in corporate shirts.
By food:
• Breakfast is a modest buffet, scrambled eggs are made in front of you, a few types of fruits, toasts, hot and cold drinks.
• Dinner - a special four-course combo menu, drinks are not included in the dinner. Very tasty!
Immediately at the reception I rented a motorcycle for 1800 rupees per day (600 rubles).
Every day my wife and I went to Turtle beach on a scooter (5 min) and served with huge turtles. An indescribable feeling.
The staff is excellent, they speak English well, a little Russian. The ocean is warm, the pool is clean.

We rested from March 27 to April 6, the hotel is old, but for the price it is excellent. The breakfasts are delicious, minus there is just no coffee machine (we did not like their coffee). The room is of course for 4- (we did not take off our shoes, it is better to take slippers with us). The room was cleaned every day, only as a prerequisite for cleaning, you need to leave the key at the reception (since there are no duplicates). The pool was cleaned with us, the staff was excellent 👍🏻 The biggest plus of the hotel is a gorgeous view of the ocean 🔥 we had a room on the 4th floor, room 50 for 2)

We were in 2019, we arrived at this hotel after a sightseeing tour of the island. There was something to compare it with. Standard room for two. I immediately wanted to leave the hotel. Of the furniture, a half-cabinet in which nothing fits, a chair 1 for two. The door to the bathroom does not close, the floor is some kind of concrete, there were no bedside mats, and somehow it was uncomfortable in general. They tried to move to another hotel through the tour operator, but they said that the money would not be refunded for this hotel at all. They gave me a suite for an additional fee, the situation was better there. The hotel as a whole was completely killed, the room next to it did not close, the lock was pulled out barbarously, it was creepy to walk, it was comforting that there seemed to be cameras. I don't remember the food anymore, but when they tried to take the fruit with them, they pointed it out to us, despite the fact that while they were arguing with us, other foreigners calmly took it and went. The pool was really paid for by the locals, who swam there in their clothes, almost washed themselves.

We stayed at the hotel in April 2024. After reading the reviews, I was preparing for the worst, it turned out that not everything is so scary. The hotel is located on the ocean, the Windows faced the ocean, the view is beautiful. This is probably the only plus. The hotel is very "tired", but you can live. There were ants in the room, and once a huge cockroach got out in the shower. They clean poorly, and this cleaning needs to be achieved, as well as toilet paper, a change of towels. The TV was not working in the room, it had not been repaired in 12 days. Getting beach towels is also problematic. The food at the hotel is so-so. There's not much to eat for breakfast besides an omelet, there's also rice and spicy dishes. For dinner, the chefs seem to be trying to diversify the food, but everything is very spicy, if you are not a fan of spicy, then there is not much to choose. In other things, thanks for that, I returned from vacation for the first time without gaining weight. It is problematic to swim in the ocean near the hotel - big waves, few people go into the water, I actually swam alone, and so we went to turtle beach every morning (45 minutes along the shore, slowly). There is a crazy bus stop next to the hotel, and a small shop in front of the hotel. In principle, if you don't bother too much, then you can stay at the hotel, taking into account its cost compared to other hotels.

You stop by the hotel and disappointments begin from the very first room.... The plumbing is barely breathing. But we must pay tribute, the water pressure is good, both hot and cold. The staff is friendly and friendly, But lazy! Rooms are cleaned without enthusiasm! (Why not put a bouquet of roses or a bottle of red Rum there, noooo! Your bottles will be taken out into the corridor and they (along with other bottles from neighboring rooms) will stand there for 3-5 days! Most of the room keys are in a single copy, REMEMBER THIS!!! The worst hotel in my life.
The view from the room is 5. The ocean is beautiful.
The number is solid 1. There are no words, only emotions.
Cleanliness is 2. The room was cleaned, but it needs a general renovation, not cleaning. Everything is terribly shabby.
Kitchen - 4. If the dishes are over, they are not updated. They cook well, although not in a variety.
Location - 5. There is a public transport stop opposite.
In general, this hotel needs urgent renovation and is not suitable for living at all, and certainly it is not for pleasure and relaxation. It's not 3 stars, it's a hotel without stars.

The food is the same as everywhere else. Of the advantages, only the pool and waiters, and there is also its own volleyball net. The hotel is tired. The rooms are different, at first they gave where water dripped from the ceiling in the toilet, the mattress stank unbearably of dampness and the air conditioner did not work, then they replaced it, it was better there, but the air conditioner still worked from half a kick. The boys are cleaning, so the cleaning is purely male, it seems to be cleaned, but there seems to be no ideality. The hotel was obviously cool 10 years ago, but then maybe because of the coronavirus they launched it (the manager said they hadn't worked for three years), they tried to improve something with us, but still those who want 5* like in Europe won't see it here. There are several lizards in each room, you need to be prepared for this, you can meet cockroaches 3-4 cm in length, so you do not need to offend lizards)).
For those who want to sleep in silence at night, it is worth noting that most of the rooms have a magnificent view of the ocean, but because of this it is very noisy at night and not immediately familiar.

The room stock is dilapidated, but nevertheless the room was cleaned moderately well. I didn't like the buffet kitchen, it's better to go to a cafe. I recommend paying extra for a room with panoramic ocean views. The hotel is quite far from the "center" of the village, you will either need to walk for 20 minutes or take a tuk tuk.

The rating is not good - the condition leaves much to be desired. Rating people. I was flying to work, boarding a ship. Suitcase.I got lost along the way. So at the hotel, when they found out about it, they brought me T-shirts, socks and underwear. Going to the sea for 4 months without changing clothes, you will agree, is not a great pleasure. Terrible hotel. Dirt is everywhere. The rooms are cleaned disgustingly.under the beds there is generally a layer of garbage with dust mixed in. The sink has not been washed more than once. Plumbing is constantly breaking down. Taps are flowing. Mold is in the corners almost everywhere. The bathroom smells like sewage. The bed linen and towels are grey and stained. From the 5th time they brought at least something not very old and dirty. The tiles in the pool are chipped in places. Sharp corners. You can get hurt. The pool water is not filtered. In 3 weeks, I saw only once that something was gurgling. And then there were some inspectors on that day. And so, in the best case, bleach is added. The water is muddy in the pool with floating debris in the corners. The descent to the beach on one side is made of planks, and on the other side there are stones and sandbags instead of steps. The bastard in the restaurant does not wash well. The glasses are all cloudy. The food is meager and monotonous. The showers near the pool are generally terrible, the watering can is in mold and the water is very bad for this. The pool bar is not working and is covered in corrosion and dirt. The pool bar is also not working and there is mold and sand for some reason. Beach towels are rarely washed. I saw how they were collected from the sun beds, folded, and then they were given out again. The sun beds are old and tattered. The mattresses are torn and mildewed. There are apparently renovated rooms, but we and our friends from three different rooms were not lucky enough to get into this lucky number. The overall impression of the hotel is 2+. I do not recommend it. You have to ask for everything 5 times (Towels, water, soap, etc..) And the faucet in the bathroom was repaired 2 weeks later, and so there was always a huge puddle on the floor, which was not always even cleaned. But the ocean is beautiful. And the hotel couldn't spoil the mood. BUT WHO CLAIMS THAT IT IS 4-5 STARS. DON'T BELIEVE IT. If everything is washed and repaired, to return to its former beauty, then maybe it will pull for 4.

Anex Tour and Lavanga Resort are a combo that can ruin your vacation for very little money...
Our flight arrived at Colombo Airport at 3:40 a.m. local time. At 8:30, I was already at the hotel. Check-in at 14:00. None of the administrators suggested that I leave my suitcases somewhere, change clothes, eat - absolute indifference, while they did not forget to put on smiles, but they did absolutely nothing. I had to beg for everything: leave my suitcase, change my clothes, at least go for a swim in the ocean, and not sit in the lobby for 4 hours. The eviction of the previous tenants took place at 12. I was checked in at 13:40 (we could have accelerated, knowing that I was at the hotel from 8:30 after an overnight flight). What I got in the end: dirt, dirt, dirt and more dirt. You won't believe it (I also couldn't believe my eyes at first), but the hair and dirt were even in the refrigerator! In 1.5 hours, the room could be polished to a shine, but this is not their forte. The stench in the bathroom, dirty towels (stains and worn places, even holes), which were mentioned earlier in the reviews, I confirm. Also in the room (bathroom and room) there are small ants in not small numbers, crawling on the walls, tables and floor. There is no living space on the bed linen either, everything is stained. It is clear that once the hotel was good, at least this is evidenced by the good furniture in the room and halls, but everything is so fucked up that it is disgusting to touch anything. A jamb was falling off at the bathroom door. Rust, smudges, corrosion on the ceiling, facades in rooms and common areas have become the corporate identity of the hotel! It seems to me that if you piss in their slippers and shit in their galoshes, they won't even notice. The hotel has been in need of major renovation and renovation for a long time, but the management stubbornly squeezes the last juices out of this building.
Well, the cherry on the cake: I put things in the laundry and ironing. It feels like things have just been put on a rinse-in-water mode. The stains remained, they did not even fade. The microfiber T-shirt, which is not subject to ironing at all, was burned!!!
During the 11 days of arrival at the hotel there were 2 arrivals of the local population. It's generally tinny - constant guffaw. Local children immediately climb into the pool and occupy it completely. In addition, there is an awful lot of dirt in the pool after them, they naturally do not wash their feet in front of the pool and climb into it with sand.
A separate complaint to Anex Tour: why do you still exhibit photos when selling a tour that have not been true for at least 5 years? You knowingly mislead customers - you are simply engaged in deception. This is despite the fact that your price tag is 15 percent (as it turned out later) higher than other tour operators!
The pool and the area adjacent to it have nothing to do with reality at all, even if you take a lot of photos. What they write about dirty sunbeds, worn tiles, dirty towels again is true. The tiles are also very slippery - not for pools.
I highly strongly do not recommend this hotel, especially for such money. The most squalid and dirty hotel within a radius of 1km. He doesn't even pull 2*, let alone 4*. The area is full of hotels with adequate pricing and good service.
