Traveling through the Eternal City, we stayed at the Laurentia Hotel, 4 stars. The hotel is located in the city center, which is very convenient for sightseeing. There is free wi-fi – so there were no problems with the Internet. The room is quite spacious, with a large bed, which is important for a good rest. The linen is snow-white, which also speaks in favor of the host party. There was a safe in the room, which could be used at no extra charge. But the best impression I have left is from... breakfast! That's because you could order the most delicious cappuccino for breakfast! Until now, I have not experienced such bliss from coffee with milk)) Muesli, instant cereals, yoghurts, fruits, cheeses, ham, croissants, and other pastries (all fresh from the bakery!) were also served for breakfast – in short, you definitely won't die of hunger. By the way, since there is no restaurant in the hotel, we had to have dinner in places nearby. The Italians were so kind that they served us dinner at 22:00, although most cafes and restaurants close by 11 pm. The chef has exclusively prepared pasta and a couple more dishes for us (and definitely with dessert!).
The staff at the hotel is very friendly and ready to help. They will not ask too much, so as not to embarrass the guest. But if they see some confusion on the guest's face, they will not pass by, they will ask what, they say, and how. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The only advice on choosing a room is to ask that the windows face the courtyard instead of the street if you want to sleep well. The Romans wake up early, with roosters!
Clean, good breakfasts, but as the locals said - far from the center. The life around the hotel comes alive after 11.00. When leaving the hotel, there is a wonderful coffee shop on the right!!! The Colosseum is about 30 - 40 minutes away from the average walking distance...
