The convenient location of the hotel, right next to the metro station Baniyas Square. 15-20 years ago, the hotel was very clean and fresh. At that time, up to 80% of the guests were Russian speakers. Since then, things have not changed for the better. Now the hotel looks tired, the furniture is shabby, the walls are mildewed in the bathroom. Room cleaning leaves much to be desired. Now the hotel is inhabited mainly by immigrants from India, Pakistan and Africa.
Advantages - convenient location, large enough room, courteous staff, average price in the area, daily change of bed linen and towels, good wi-fi.
Cons - the furniture is old, the walls are shabby, there is mold in the bathroom, if the windows overlook the main street, it is very noisy, active life boils until 2 a.m.
Summary - if you need to stop in this area for shopping, then you can, if for recreation, then choose another area, for the same money you can look for something more decent and go far to the beach.
The advantage of the hotel is earlier check-in without prepayment. The advantages are over.
The cleanliness of the rooms leaves much to be desired. There are a lot of cockroaches running around the entire area of the hotel. There are practically no Russian speakers, and why should we be surprised, the Deira district is old and not very safe (if we had known about it earlier).
The key cards do not work all the time and you have to run to the reception and reactivate them.
As indicated in the descriptions on the booking sites - the hotel has a swimming pool, this is not the case. The pool is located in another Landmark Hotel, about 300 meters apart
This is not the first time in Dubai and we visited this hotel about 6 years ago, but what is happening in this hotel now is just hell. Everything immediately becomes clear from the moment of check-in, the reception is very dirty, cockroaches occasionally run through, no attention and respect from employees. We were moved into a room without a balcony, one bed is broken, the TV does not work (there are no Russian channels either, although there used to be), very dirty and old plumbing, burnt-out lenolium, old, very old furniture. With persuasion, not only did they change the room to another one with a balcony, but it was the same there. There was always some kind of bad smell. The most terrible thing begins in the late afternoon and at night, when cockroaches wake up and there are not two, not three, but just dozens. One thing I can note is the job of a cleaner, I always tried to please, change the linen and towels. My vacation was ruined, I wanted to get away from there as soon as possible. They also canceled the shuttle to the beach, they don't give towels, I won't even write about breakfast, there aren't even ordinary glass glasses, dirt, cockroaches, food is very limited.
A good location near the metro in the city center. Compared to other hotels in the area, the price is affordable. The hotel is tired and needs cosmetic repairs, but the linen and rooms are clean. The breakfasts are so-so, but you won't be hungry
If you do not have high requirements, this hotel will suit you perfectly. The service is acceptable. It is not suitable for a beach holiday, as it is located far from the sea, in a shopping area. The airport is close. Through the window , you can watch the planes gain altitude and fall on course .
I've been staying at this hotel several times. There is also a Ladmark nearby.3 stars matched this hotel. There were Russian-speaking administrators at the reception desk, and a bus took them to the sea. There is a subway nearby.
A cozy, friendly hotel. Clean clean, not noisy. The metro is ten meters away, near all the infrastructure for tourists. The price is affordable, there is a bus stop near the sea.
I wouldn't have gone next time for sure! We stayed at the hotel from March 14 to March 20. We were very sorry that we took food. Due to the spread of the coronavirus, they gave breakfast and lunch in hand, there was no question of any buffet. There were only cheap rolls from the food, we threw them away and stayed hungry. Those who did not take food clapped their hands with happiness... In a nearby cafe for this money, they received delicious lunches, large portions, and everything was delicious. For example, a discarded breakfast for 500 rubles. On average, 9-10 dirhams (200 rubles) per person or delicious mousse of freshly squeezed juices.
Conclusion: shamelessly took advantage of the situation. At our friends' place, we rested nearby, no one canceled the buffet. Of course, this circumstance blurred all impressions about the hotel.
Separately, I would like to say about the transfer. One bus comes, there is a crowd of people, obviously all will not fit, the beach is 8 km away, in traffic jams. The rest are waiting for this bus to return. The attitude towards people is not caring.
Conclusion: if the hotel has such an approach to the Russians, there is nothing to try there.
Clean, beautifully decorated, the room was spacious, not new, but on the level and the good attitude of the staff, the wonderful location of the hotel, I really liked everything...
Three stars in Egyptian. The furniture is ancient, shabby. I didn't check the cleanliness with the devices, but it looks dirty. It's scary to go into the bathroom without slippers. The entrance to the hotel is through the shopping center, where everyone pulls you and offers to buy something. At the entrance, you are charged a deposit. $100 or passports. Where has this been seen? Moreover, there are no guarantees that the deposit will be returned in dollars, and not in local dirhams. And what to do with them then, when you have already essentially left? Near the hotel there is an open cafe with shawarma and kebab. It would seem a plus. But you can't open the balcony with smells. The metro is nearby. And a 24-hour supermarket. These are the only advantages I found.
I 've been there three times and I 'll come again because it 's only getting better there . I mean a guest house for shopping. Beachgoers are not here...
