Before buying a ticket to the Laguna boarding house in Abkhazia, many contradictory reviews were read, mostly negative. Hoping for a Russian chance, for their luck and for the Biblio Globus company, which they trusted and rested for many years, they bought a tour with a friend.
The Biblio globe did not justify its hopes. The round-trip transfer was organized not on the principle of hotels, but on the principle of arrival and departure of planes, that is, we waited about 2 hours for several flights to arrive at the hotel, and collected several flights from the hotels on the way back, for which we were taken out of the hotel 8 hours before our flight! We had to cancel the return transfer and take a taxi.
It's hard to write about the Laguna boarding house itself without Russian slang... it would be hard to drive the Biblio Globe all together into this hellhole! No, of course, the sea itself and nature with firs and magnolias make a joyful impression! Do not think that we are corrupted by Egypt and Turkey, we were ready for the "golim sovdepiya", as they wrote in the reviews. BUT this was not expected.
Mold in the room in the corners on the floor, on the walls, the air conditioner is old and smelly, the water in the faucet is "in a thread", not a single hook in the bathroom unit and so on. To all our requests for a change of number, Natasha from the reception (hardened in such situations) replied – there are no numbers and there will not be. However, contacting the hotline for the service of Russian tourists in Abkhazia (thanks very much to the manager Polina), the issue was miraculously resolved, and we were offered a choice of several rooms…
And then…The room was cleaned by themselves, the garbage was put out in the corridor, the linen for the change was knocked out and changed by themselves. The corridor was never cleaned with us, the sand from the beach is already lying there in layers.
Nutrition is a separate song. Terrible unsanitary conditions. Food distributors without hats, without gloves, without overalls (got up from the pot and went to the distribution), coughing right over the pots. The dishes are washed poorly, the appliances are greasy (they went to wash them themselves), there is lipstick on the glass with compote… Food quality… They didn't starve to death, thanks to porridge in the morning and soups at lunch. The second is basically gravy with something… The attitude towards the guests is hateful, even boorish – they count compotes and plates on the tables ... Well, there are cafes nearby, we ate there.
The territory has been thoroughly launched. They squeezed out all the juices after the USSR, they moved their fingers lazily. There is dirt everywhere, long-term garbage, cows and dogs. The beach is in the same desolation, the remains of various metal structures. The guy on the beach is a Tajik, less or more maintaining order. And what kind of nature is there, what possibilities! My heart is bleeding…
I do not advise anyone to go to the Laguna boarding house in Abkhazia. There are many decent hotels nearby and not much more expensive.
To the owners of the boarding house – close up, make normal repairs, improve the territory, hire conscientious employees! You have a "gold mine" in your hands, and you have lowered it so much!

1. During the arrival there, the room was not cleaned once, towels were not changed for 6 days, the garbage had to be taken out by ourselves (garbage cans, by the way, apparently were not taken out for a very long time, since there are packages not just a slide on the tank, but also lying around), bed linen and towels in somethe yellow spots that are not displayed.
2. The Internet catches only in the lobby and on the street a little.
3. They did not hear about mosquito nets at all, at night in the heat it was not possible to open the window, because mosquitoes flew in a swarm.
4. Cows walk nearby in the park, so you should look at your feet when walking.
5. I don't know what they cook there, but spending most of your vacation in the bathroom is such fun.
6. There are no curtains in the bathroom, after a shower the floor is always in water, thank you for at least giving me a rag to wipe it off.
Of the advantages, it can be noted that the sea is literally across the road, and it takes 2 minutes by taxi to the border.

I do not recommend this hotel to anyone!!! We are not picky, the situation of Soviet times does not scare us, but at least we have to do something for decency, cleaning, towels, curtains are cut normally, and not just hang clippings that you can't move to close the windows, and wipe the windows themselves from dirt, hang the curtains in the bathroom when you wash everything is flooded with water, they asked at least wipe the floor with a rag, they tell us to wash more carefully, the stench from the sink is constant, my husband tried to bend himself, but the pipe is short, the water runs rusty and it often does not exist at all. Towels were given only a day later, they say we have a shortage, so not everyone got them, fortunately they took their own with them, they did not even dream of replacing them. Dirt is everywhere, even on the beds, mattresses are out of size and there is garbage everywhere around them, hair. There are bloody traces of dead mosquitoes on the walls. The garbage was taken out on their own, they did not give garbage bags, our shopping bags were inserted. The beach is nearby, but go to it through mountains of garbage. We all (9 people) had rotovirus infections on the 3rd day of our stay there. There are only 2 cleaners for the entire complex, so there is no question of any cleaning. The manager's family also lives there, their family scandals were regularly observed, as well as scandals of the staff who should do what. Cows graze on the territory, and dogs also live.
Everything was saved only by the sea and excursions, they were not in the rooms on duty.

Today we just got home (Yerevan) and immediately want to share our impressions of the wonderful LAGUNA boarding house. We arrived in Abkhazia on 07.07.24, we were looking for a place to stay and got there by chance, they accepted us as their relatives, I want to note that they take everyone like that!!! Thanks to all the Staff of the boarding house for this!!! We had plans to stay for a few days, then go to Pitsunda, but we loved it so much that we stayed until the end of the allotted rest days — until 19.07. I appeal to those who write bad reviews — if you want to relax in style and be fed with research — there are very many hotels whose days range from 60-70 thousand to infinity. In short, a great place to relax! We send greetings to Everyone, and we wish the vacationers a good rest!

One star and only for being close to the border. This is the real bottom. We went for 5 nights and 6 days. The horror that awaited us is simply beyond words. The ticket was purchased (according to the travel agent, the most "budget" one) Yes, yes, 60 thousand rubles. There is no water in this boarding house, the lights are constantly turned off, the water in the bathroom drips barely from the tap. Wi-Fi is only available at the reception, and it works with great interruptions. The food is completely tasteless. If you want to sit on the toilet for your entire vacation, then welcome. This is the most unpleasant place where you will get a portion of disappointment, psychological trauma and long-term depression instead of rest. Spare your budget and choose a normal hotel or house, but not this poverty.

We spent 2 nights in this boarding house.
I would like to say right away that upon arrival from the word there was no cleaning in the room at all, dirty floors with sand on the floor, the remaining dried products from previous residents,
The bed linen is torn and stained. The curtains are all covered in crushed mosquitoes with blood.
It is indicated that there will be a bathroom, in fact, a shower without a curtain with rusty water, which needs to be flushed for half an hour.
The toilet bowl (sorry for the details) is in excrement from previous settlers.
The doors to the bathroom are without a latch. That is, you need to hold your hand so that children do not enter.
The windows do not open, and if they are opened, they will not hold up from old age.
There are spiders and dust on the chandeliers.
They gave me dirty blankets with mildew spots.
Indicated that there should be a good view from the room. I'll attach a photo of what we see from the room.
Even the children are laughing.
The beach is indicated to be equipped, but it is equipped only with rocks and the sea.
Sun beds and umbrellas are available for an additional fee. And not a small one.
Kitchen: we saw how the dishes: pots and bowls are drying outside, a dog was climbing on them and cows graze nearby and sniff it.
For lunch, chicken was served for the second course, in which only bones covered with skin.
The chicken itself was not cooked and thawed for the first time (I know about this, because my wife is a food technologist. Products)
One cabbage roll was served for dinner. And a crab salad with only rice in it.
The food distributor herself sat and ate as many cabbage rolls as she wanted.
We were left very hungry.
Cottage cheese was served for breakfast, not cottage cheese... but palm oil.
There is no children's table.
There are bottles of alcohol everywhere. Cattle graze on the territory. The territory is not removed from the word at all.
Our son is involved in sports and he needs daily training.
A stadium was promised. In fact, there is cattle there and it is overgrown.
As a result: the wife approached the administrator on all these issues.

First, I would like to explain about the terrible reviews about this boarding house - previously, a Muscovite bought out this Olympic reserve center and did not invest much, there really was horror, so the old reviews are frightening and actually do not correspond to reality.
Two years ago, the boarding house was bought out by a very wise man, he has a wonderful hardworking wife, and an energetic promising son. Together they began to transform this place, they also have their own huge farm - an entire farm, so basically all the products are farm-friendly. The food is excellent 3 times a day, everything is fresh and delicious, there has never been a repeat dish all the time. The portions are large - the men were all full, but I couldn't eat everything or burst (because it was delicious) and went out as a teletubby))))
This is a big plus - you don't need to think about what to eat, buy, or cook.
The attitude of the staff is wonderful. We stood at the border for 3 hours, arrived at one o'clock in the morning - they were waiting for us, the room was ready, the registration was done in the morning - we realized that we were tired. The family of the owner of the boarding house and the staff accepted and communicated with us as with relatives, all from the heart and from the heart, cultured, sincere people 💕

A huge park, a huge territory, even if in places we haven't reached it yet, but this is temporary... the place is beautiful, you live in a park of magnolias, palm trees, cedars, eucalyptus, cedars and thuja... and watching the squirrels ) a lot of flowers - what gives such a fragrance and clean air 😍
The rooms are clean, everything you need is there - a refrigerator, a TV with cable, we had a fan, there was a balcony, and the windows faced the park - the shady side, it was comfortable, without heat and stuffiness, but there are rooms with air conditioning. The bathroom is decent, everything is tiled and everything is in working condition. Iron and ironing board on the floor.
You go out of the territory, and crossing an internal not busy road - the sea, the beach is clean, the water is also clean and, importantly, it is not crowded.
There are shops nearby, and there are bars where you can sit and dance in the evening 💃
Now they have probably opened a new cafe on the territory of the boarding house and there is also a barbecue area - you can cook a barbecue yourself - there are all conditions for this.
Excursions can be ordered from tour operators with whom they cooperate, or through the hotel owner or his son - there are proven drivers who love their country and know much more than tour operators and it turns out much cooler, because there is no timing and you can combine several different directions that tour operators have at once.
There is always water, because they have their own substation, hot water is officially turned on from 7 to 10 and from 19 to 22, but in fact it is almost all day.

This is the most terrible boarding house. We rested from 1.08.24 to 7.08.24. During this time, the room was never cleaned. They took out the trash only because they asked for it several times. The food is disgusting. On the last day, several people were poisoned. And the rooms are worse than in the worst dormitories in Russia. The photos of the rooms that are presented on the site are generally a hoax. It's disgusting to go into the toilets, the stench is all over the room. Everything is broken, right down to the door handles.

We had a rest in June 2023, we are happy with everything. For the price, everything is fine. The rooms are average, but we were almost not in the room - we immediately chose excursions and went to the sea every day. The beach is one of the best in Tsandripsha - no cemeteries/rivers/There are no drains - the water is clean, the beach is wide, there are trees. Very helpful staff, thank you wholeheartedly for our vacation!

I was on vacation with my daughter from 08/22/29.
What I want to say is that I first bought a ticket, and only then read the reviews. Of course, I've already prepared for the worst.
But upon arrival, our mood changed.
Everything you need to stay is there.
Clean room , fresh clean bed, fresh renovation in the shower, refrigerator and TV in the room. The only thing I needed was a kettle and a hair dryer, but I took it with me))
The territory is large and green! The sea is across the road - 2 min. The sea is gorgeous and clean!
Dolphins often swim right by the shore.
Pebbles, so take care of the carols, but even if you forget, they cost 400-500 rubles here.
As for nutrition, as for me, not to cook is very good) my daughter is not picky - she ate everything! The usual food, varied.
The hosts are friendly and friendly.
What else do I want to say - it depends on what mood you are in when you go to the sea and for what purpose, as for me - I am delighted with Abkhazia and the sea!
If you are looking for a service, then you are not here!
Have a good rest!!!, and next year we will go back to the Lagoon!!!

1. I left a request on the website to clarify the details of my stay. The site, by the way, is decent, but there are no photos of the rooms, and now it's clear why. I was contacted by WhatsApp, I found out that the room has air conditioning, shower, refrigerator. I asked if the air conditioner was working, as I had already had a bad experience. A girl named Marianne assured me that everything was fine, everything was working. She sent a video of the room, it seems to be good, I, however, did not pay attention to the old refrigerator, but more about it later. I book and make an advance payment.
2. We are coming. The location is very close to the sea, several kilometers from the border.
And communication begins at the reception. This is where the theater of the absurd begins. To say that we were greeted unfriendly is to say nothing. The young man behind the counter said to wait. We are waiting for 15 minutes, it is unclear who or what. The guy does not answer questions, sat and left. During this time, we look around, we see a piece of paper on the wall stating that hot water is from 7 to 10 and from 19 to 22. We are impressed, we are waiting further. (We are not yet aware that there is no hot water in principle, and at the specified time it is just slightly warm, not even at room temperature). A girl comes and asks to see the voucher. He's making out something with a sin in half. At the same time, she has about the same facial expression as a young man (My God, what are you doing here, distracting you from important things) and about 40 minutes after arrival we are taken to the room. About him separately.
3. We begin to inspect the room, and are horrified. The repair was only in the bathroom, the furniture was all very old and shabby, towels were mismatched, and not at all, there were three bedside tables for four, in general, it seemed that not only had there been no repairs for twenty years, but also cleaning.. The air conditioner, as we feared, is not working. Moreover, there is no remote control from him, and the girl with a dissatisfied look goes somewhere to look for him. The refrigerator is an old rusty Saratov, it seems to be cold, but there is NOT A SINGLE SHELF in it. A battered, battered balcony, but a long one. Of course, there is not a single clothesline, well, you guys are going to wash and dry towels, or something. ALL the doors creak terribly. Beds with old spring mattresses, the springs bulge, but you can tolerate them. A girl comes, gives you the remote control for the air conditioner, it still doesn't turn on. We are talking about the shelves in the refrigerator, she goes somewhere for a long time again, as far as we understood, she went to other numbers to take the shelves out of the refrigerators))). Meanwhile, we discover that the bathroom/toilet door is NOT LOCKED. There is a latch, there is no loop. We are 4 adults, it is inconvenient. A girl comes, starts rattling the shelves in the refrigerator loudly, the shelves don't fit, we tell her about the lock in the bathroom, she leaves again. It should be noted that she leaves all the time either silently or muttering to herself, not trying to fix the situation or at least defuse the situation. We are tired of waiting all the time, go out into the courtyard, start ringing nearby and not so many hotels, boarding houses, guest houses. Of course, there are no places, but there are four of us. And it's already eight o'clock in the evening, we already want to get settled somehow. It took a total of almost two hours of waiting for something unclear. While we are in the courtyard, the staff does not pay any attention to us, they are sitting at a table a little away. We decide to stay anyway, we have nowhere to go. We approach the girl, ask if it is possible to solve all the problems that we found in the room, and first this girl starts yelling at us, and then the guy from the reception. In short, the message is that they will all fix it, what is it that the door does not close and the air conditioner does not work, the guests broke it, but they did not know anything, and is it really difficult to wait 10 minutes. After an unproductive conversation, the girl says, follow me, and shows another number. It gets even funnier. In the new room, the air conditioner "works", but drives only warm air, does not cool. There is NOWHERE to TURN ON the refrigerator, there is no outlet nearby, plus it does not stand on its feet, it falls on its side. We understand that "our" room is better, so to speak. As a result, the administrator is called, an elderly man approaches, and more or less problems begin to be solved. They bring us a fan, it really falls all the time and it doesn't have a safety net, but these are small things, they install shelves in the refrigerator, crookedly, but at least they attach a loop for the latch in the bathroom. We bring things in, and after a while a curtain falls on me. A curtain.
Either to cry or to laugh. There is no one at the reception, my husband eventually corrected as much as he could, using two bedside tables and a chair instead of a ladder. Spoiler alert - later she fell down again, her husband found a wand, took a screwdriver out of the car and fixed it.
4. There are also some problems with electricity, in the evening the light bulb barely shines, it is dark.
5. Towels were not changed at all, we asked for a change on the 7th day, but said they would only be able to do it tomorrow. As a result, they did not change it in 10 days. There is no room cleaning either, in principle, we bought garbage bags and took it out on our own every day.
6. The air conditioner was repaired the next day, the master said that he could not stand another analysis. But it worked fine.
7. Wi-Fi is only at the reception, and that is weak.
8. I wrote about hot water above, there is none.
9. There are few sockets (as everywhere else), but here they still barely hold on to the sockets.
And in general, you can adapt to inconveniences, of course, but the attitude of the staff is just terrible.. no attempt to smooth out the unpleasant impression, just muttering under your breath that we are very moody. In the photo is the same girl whom we inconvenienced with our arrival.

We examined three rooms, selected one of them, but it also needs a good repair. Some of the sockets do not work, the lock of the door to the balcony works every other time, the bathroom door does not close. You can continue even more, earlier people described it more colorfully.
But there must be advantages, otherwise there is nothing to pay 5 ₽ / day for ...
The sea is within walking distance. Really, across the street from the boarding house. It's quiet for the most part, and it smells like pine needles. You can rest. There is a dining room. They are fed without frills, but the food is of high quality. There were no queues from her to the establishments (unlike the cafe on the Ritz)
There is a small cafe and grocery stores nearby. But it's a long way to run to the pharmacy...

We crossed the threshold of this boarding house and were already horrified, an old old institution! Where is the repair as it is written ???we were escorted to the room and it was a complete cringe..The time is night, there is nowhere to go, we slept with the lights on and the TV, I was very afraid of any living creatures, dirty, damp, very old.
Wi-Fi only at the reception.
We woke up and quickly began to look for a house nearby and we were lucky, we moved out 🙏🏻

We booked from 9.08 to 13.08. Air conditioning was mandatory when booking. As a result, the air conditioner was not working, there was no hot water. Once there was probably a very good boarding house, but now it's kind of abandoned. The territory is unkempt. The only advantage is the sea is 200 meters away. An hour after checking in, we moved out. I put 2 stars for the fact that the prepayment was returned and for the proximity to the sea, that's all.

We had a rest in July 2023. It's just terrible!!! Dirt, complete devastation, rooms are dirty, squalid, service and maintenance at the lowest level, bedbugs in the sofas in the lobby, kitchen workers (they are also maintenance staff) apparently do not know sanitary standards at all if they serve guests in work clothes, without aprons, without gloves.

The room is dirty. The prices are too high. You can pay no more than 500 rubles per night for this hut.
The old Soviet building, the refrigerator does not work. Towels were brought in a day later. Soap was not brought at all, I had to buy it myself. The room has never been cleaned in 4 days. I don't advise anyone. When booking, some photos are attached, in fact everything looks different.

Ruin and squalor, there is no cook, the food is meager - for lunch the first and second in one small plate, for dinner 5-6 dumplings, for breakfast liquid porridge, shabby rooms, spiders and cockroaches. The maintenance staff (6 people) sits in the yard all day, drinking coffee and eating watermelon, no one works, that is, at all. The director has a cafe opposite the boarding house, after dinner hungry vacationers go there to eat. I do not recommend this boarding house.
