I liked the fortress. After the heat of the street, it is very cool to enter the former living quarters - even some coolness is felt. It is worth climbing the minaret, despite the very narrow staircase. Although it is not high, but the view of the old town is good.
It is rather a fortified fort and, importantly, in good condition. The Sousse Fortress (Kasbah) is much larger and stands on an elevation somewhat to the side. The ticket here was inexpensive and I toured the entire fortress, fortunately there were few people. Ribat in Sousse dates back to the 9th century, so it is more than 1200 years old. The walls of the fortress are 15 meters high. It is built in the shape of a square. I climbed the highest tower - it also served as a minaret. The view from above of the city and the sea is amazing! I recommend.
