The fortress museum has been restored, not very rich expositions, but it's worth going, the views are magnificent, the port is nearby, the forest of masts, and the narrow streets run in all directions, it's a miracle how beautiful! And be sure to take a walk along these streets: stone steep descents, ascents, doors of indescribable beauty, only they can be viewed all day, in these alleys you can find interesting boutique hotels with panoramic terraces. And along the embankment there is an endless line of restaurants with a fairly similar menu: seafood + Turkish cuisine + lots of beer, and a lot of vacationing Germans).
A very pleasant walk!
The new model is clean, sleek, restored as best they could, but the views from the fortress are stunning on the bay and on the pier. Nearby there are very cozy streets for walking and many cafes with observation decks. In general, the atmosphere of the place is very pleasant and the walk brought a lot of pleasant impressions.
A small fortress, with a paid entrance, is located among pleasant, beautiful narrow streets, not far up from the embankment. The view is very beautiful from the very top of the fortress, you can sit quietly and look at the surroundings. There are all kinds of historical museum rooms that have a history.
It's a wonderful place!
Ancient amphorae have been preserved, and cannons that guarded the fortress in earlier times are represented. There is a museum on the territory of the fortress with interesting exhibits. The road to the fortress itself is full of narrow streets, old houses with vintage entrance doors, and you will already like it.
A great place for walking. It looks especially romantic in the evening. Narrow streets, stone, flowering shrubs in pots, a colorful assortment of doors and a unique vibe)
An interesting place, there is a hundred to see and read about the history (you can translate it with a translator from English or Turkish). Good viewing platform. Stunning views as you walk through the alleys to the fortress.
Super! It's beautiful, there's something to see. I definitely advise you to visit. There are a couple of very tasty restaurants. I really want to go back and wander again.
It's quite an interesting place, but the price is too high.. They say the price has increased several times due to the crisis. Beautiful view of Marmaris, you can hide a little from the heat in the walls. In general, it is informative, there are ancient artifacts.
A small architectural structure in the old town. There are many museum exhibits and beautiful views of the sea and the city. I recommend you to visit

The historical landmark of the city. It is definitely worth a visit if you are vacationing in this beautiful city. But take a close look at the opening hours. A lot of people come closer to 18.00. And you can also get lost there and go the wrong way along these narrow streets. Therefore, they come already under closure. You definitely need an hour if you want to go through everything calmly and see. Well, plus for the time in the photo.
Cute! You need to visit, you don't have to lie on the beach all your vacation. The museum is small and cute. The view from the fortress to the sea is pleasant. The pictures turned out to be nice.
A beautiful place, impressive for its antiquity and history. There is a picturesque narrow street leading to the fortress. From the fortress itself, there is simply a magnificent view of the bay and the port. The evening Marmaris is also beautiful, especially the promenade!
Marmaris castle, like many castles of the country, is weak in content, it fell far below my expectations due to its small structure and the low variety of historical products on display, the roads leading to the castle are very bad and uphill, the few orientation signs are also missing.
I recommend bodrum castle to those who want to visit the castle and get enough of history.
It is not a structure that is worth unnecessary suffering to families with children and the elderly.
There is nothing much to see in the fortress itself, from the walls of the fortress you can look at the old town, the bay and the surrounding area. 6€ is a bit much in my opinion)))
A small fortress, but one of the advantages, inexpensive, interesting old streets, a museum and exhibits

The main attraction. There is a small informative museum inside. The fortress walls offer stunning views. The narrow, colorful streets of the old town lead to the fortress. A must-visit in Marmaris!
The pretty fortress of Novodel is probably the main historical landmark of the city. Such a sterile museum, there seems to be nothing to complain about (you can climb the wall and towers, visit several expositions, there is a shade there), but not just wow.
It is very beautiful, not big, but there is something to see and not to overload with information. Be sure to walk around the perimeter and you can see the harbor with yachts. And next to the old town, the miniature streets are charming.
The fortress is completely renovated from the facade. Very small, inside a small historical museum. The entire exhibition can be viewed in 10 minutes. The perimeter of the fortress can be bypassed along the walls in 5 minutes.))) All the fun costs 6 euros. Being in Marmaris is worth a look. I do not advise you to go on a special tour from afar)).
A very interesting and deep place with history and atmosphere.
This fortress embodies the power and beauty of ancient architecture.
We were amazed by the unique views of the sea and the surrounding landscape that opened from the walls of the fortress. The immersion in ancient history and the walk through the fortress were exciting. I recommend visiting the Marmara Kalesi Fortress to anyone who is interested in history and loves historical sites.
It's beautiful, but it's very difficult to walk there in the heat.I really wanted to go into an air-conditioned room to relax, at least for five minutes.

It's a very interesting place, the sea view is wonderful! I advise you to visit this place better on the 20th of May, the weather is not too hot yet and there are not many tourists, there will be time to get to know the history carefully and consider everything
An interesting fortress. It is located not far from the center, you can walk along the embankment. The fortress offers stunning views of the port and the sea. You can admire the beauty that opens from the height of the fortress for a long time.
It is easily accessible from the port of Marmaris or from the bus stop. Very beautiful views.
There are halls with exhibitions.
There is a toilet on site.
A small cozy fortress. It is easy to find, the views
of the sea and the city are stunning. It is better to go before 12 o'clock in the afternoon, before the heat starts and there are few tourists.
An interesting location. A good overview of the city and an interesting collection of archaeological finds. But the place is very small, and there are a lot of people
A beautiful ancient building, founded by the Greeks, from which, in fact, the city of Marmaris began. Entrance is paid, the territory is tiny. The views are picturesque.
We did not regret that we crawled (we walked for about 7km in the heat, there is no other way to say ahah) - an interesting location, if you are not in a super economy, then I would advise you to visit. All the information is in English, and if you are without the Internet, then the basic knowledge is quite enough to understand it.
It is necessary to come in the morning for departure. The photo will be a suite))) without modern characters)))..
The size of the museum is small 6 euro ticket.. but! Good luck!)) Slowly.. I sat down, looked.. high.
And you will have time to enjoy the old town without the crowd too!... sweetness, beauty
A very beautiful place came right to me.The energy is off the charts.Every stone is imbued with antiquity. And it feels like I've been there in past lives. She was easy to navigate.
It is a very beautiful place, the museum is not big, but there is something to see. The fortress stands on a mountain and the view from it is mesmerizing.
