The fortress museum has been restored, not very rich expositions, but it's worth going, the views are magnificent, the port is nearby, the forest of masts, and the narrow streets run in all directions, it's a miracle how beautiful! And be sure to take a walk along these streets: stone steep descents, ascents, doors of indescribable beauty, only they can be viewed all day, in these alleys you can find interesting boutique hotels with panoramic terraces. And along the embankment there is an endless line of restaurants with a fairly similar menu: seafood + Turkish cuisine + lots of beer, and a lot of vacationing Germans).

The new model is clean, sleek, restored as best they could, but the views from the fortress are stunning on the bay and on the pier. And you can also get lost there and go the wrong way along these narrow streets. Therefore, they come already under closure. Marmaris castle, like many castles of the country, is weak in content, it fell far below my expectations due to its small structure and the low variety of historical products on display, the roads leading to the castle are very bad and uphill, the few orientation signs are also missing.
I recommend bodrum castle to those who want to visit the castle and get enough of history.
It is not a structure that is worth unnecessary suffering to families with children and the elderly.

The fortress is completely renovated from the facade. Very small, inside a small historical museum. The entire exhibition can be viewed in 10 minutes. The perimeter of the fortress can be bypassed along the walls in 5 minutes.))) All the fun costs 6 euros. Being in Marmaris is worth a look. I do not advise you to go on a special tour from afar)).
