Excellent fortress, well preserved, restored in places. We were vacationing in Spain and arrived by car.

The castle of the Cathars in Carcassonne, 53 towers, huge and thick walls. The walls run in many rows, forming a heavily fortified monastery, with streets for living. Many French historical films were shot in the monastery and its surroundings.
