I had some troubles to get there, since Yandex maps was showing a path that was either closed or inexistent. Some locals showed me how to get there, and from below the fortress appears very beautiful. Though, from the top there is not much to see, the city doesn't offer such great views. There were also two stray dogs barking, but asking them politely they let me through. You cannot reach the edges of the fortress, so you can see mainly some hills (great) and Georgia's flags.

You can stop by on the way. Today it is rather the remains of walls and a fortress, but it is expensive to look at the city of Gori and the surrounding area from above. There you can also visit the local bazaar, which is exactly different from the capital and large cities, because This is a province. The fortress is a real medieval citadel, but everything remains at the stage of reconstruction, it's worth a look because of the view around, but you shouldn't expect more.

Парканулись на кольце рядом,там вроде бесплатная парковка.Обходили вдоль жилых домов,там собаки напали стаей( русских что ли учуяли),бросок камня(их много) в сторону стаи, остудил их настрой. В крепость поднялись на верх и немного разочаровались,одна яма для животных и огромные флаги.сторож куда то пропал.Вообщем большая каменная заброшенная куча.Спускаясь к парку бронзовой семьи(эта сторона облагорожена лучше),познакомились с двумя парами по очереди.Первая м/ж,прилипли к лавочке в страсти...,не стали их тревожить даже,да и они нас даже не заметили.возле бронзовой семьи м/м пара,кое как на ломаном русском объяснили про бронзовые фигуры и подвели к стенду о нападении России на Грузию. Разошлись с пониманием друг друга,что это политики виноваты...В воздухе отчётливо прослушивался запах Марьи ивановны.

Руины стен на холме в центре города, но вход свободный и вид сверху на город замечательный, так что проезжая мимо стоит остановиться на часок другой.

Подняться на крепостной холм не сложно. В самой крепости смотреть пока нечего, идут работы по реконструкции, но вид со стен открывается великолепный.

Много что есть посмотреть!
Много строится нового, город растёт и развивается!
Обязательно рекомендую побывать!

Вид открывается на весь город. Вход бесплатный. Обязателен к посещению всем, кто приезжает в Гори.
