I had some troubles to get there, since Yandex maps was showing a path that was either closed or inexistent. Some locals showed me how to get there, and from below the fortress appears very beautiful. Though, from the top there is not much to see, the city doesn't offer such great views. There were also two stray dogs barking, but asking them politely they let me through. You cannot reach the edges of the fortress, so you can see mainly some hills (great) and Georgia's flags.
You can stop by on the way. Today it is rather the remains of walls and a fortress, but it is expensive to look at the city of Gori and the surrounding area from above. There you can also visit the local bazaar, which is exactly different from the capital and large cities, because This is a province. If desired, someone can visit Stalin's house, there is also a monument to him young.
The fortress is a real medieval citadel, but everything remains at the stage of reconstruction, it's worth a look because of the view around, but you shouldn't expect more.
