I am very glad that the whole family came to the museum. It is small, but there are interesting things, you can take pictures with the exhibits. Be sure to take a tour, everything "comes to life" at once. Special thanks to Madona, the deputy director, for recommending a tour of Adjara with their man. We fell in love with Georgia even more and, of course, with Georgians. Places, historical facts, presentation of information, attitude, sincerity - the brightest and longest trip turned out. Madonna and Levan, low bow, long life, health, well-being, prosperity!
We went to the local history museum with my husband. Be sure to take a tour of the museum, then you will not just look at old things and ancient finds, but immerse yourself in the rich history of the region. The museum is open at the expense of local residents who love their region, so they need support. They allow you to take pictures, information is not delayed, everything is very dynamic. I recommend
An excellent local history museum. As it should be - with a stuffed bear.
There is everything - ceramics, bone, bronze, steel. Excellent reconstructions of everyday life with historical facts - how people fought for Faith, preserved Christian traditions.
Special thanks to Madona, the director and the guide!
To be honest, I was not particularly impressed. A few antiques, a small exposition reflecting the way of life of people, an anti-Soviet room upstairs, and that's it. There were also competitive drawings of children all around, this was probably the most interesting thing.
The museum is small, not rich (according to the exhibits). You can visit, but it is better not to take the services of a guide - nothing more than what is written in the description of the exhibits (Russian is present) She won't say. He also has difficulty answering additional questions.
The museum is amazing, August 2022. The exhibits are arranged chronologically, everything is beautiful, comfortable, well-groomed. We met the director of the museum, Madona, and were shocked by the hospitality. After an exciting tour, we were allowed to climb the expositions, feel, touch, sit in the 19th century manor, visit Stalin's office and sit at his green table. We were so shocked by this. Besides, we were photographed wherever we wanted. And at the end, the course director poured us coffee, treated us to fruits, halva, presented us with postcards, Madonna shook with hospitality and said that she raised the museum herself, with soul and enthusiasm, which is noticeable. I advise everyone. Especially with the guide service.
I read an article about the Julie Shartava Museum in Senaki, Western Georgia, and I'm looking forward to visiting it. The museum is a small two-storey building where archaeological artifacts, ethnographic materials, photographs and documents related to the life and work of Julie Chartava are stored. An important place in the museum's collection is occupied by archaeological finds from the city of Nokalakevi, one of the most ancient cities in Georgia. I am also looking forward to learning more about the culture and history of the Georgian people through ethnographic exhibitions and the work of local artists at the museum. It seems to me that this museum can offer a complete understanding of the cultural heritage and history of Georgia.
I definitely recommend visiting the museum! We were in July 2023, and the deputy met us.The director and the guide are Madona in one person. We were amazed by the quality of the exhibition and how the museum staff tell and take care of it. Madonna gave the opportunity to take pictures in a traditional Georgian house and explore the "Stalin's office". After the tour and the conversation with her, the most pleasant impressions remained!
Today, October 2022, we were at the museum. Firstly, the beautiful, clean resort town of Kabuletti. We decided to visit the museum on the way, based on the feedback from visitors.
3 exhibition halls (the beginning of time, the home life of Georgians of the 18th Century and Stalin's office). Madonna gave us a tour and kindly presented us with souvenirs. I recommended going on an excursion with Levani - which we will do!
It feels like a person loves his job and tries for the benefit of visitors) very interesting! Thank you!)
A small museum with exhibitions.
You can visit on your own or ask for an excursion (in my opinion, 15 lari).
the photo shows the exposition of one of the halls.
Didn't come in, but probably very good!))) I was passing by all the time and thought that I had to go in tomorrow, but when I saw a wine shop, I went to the store faster)))
Good afternoon. I was on vacation with my son in July 2022. We met Ms. Madona, the director of the museum, and Levan. Due to the fact that there are such people in Georgia, you yourself begin to love the country, just like them. Ms. Madona's tour of the local museum is professional, very interesting, even for a child. A tour with Levan in mountainous Adjara is generally a lot of positive impressions and emotions. Thanks to such people, holidays in Georgia will be remembered for a long time and only from the best side
The exposition is not bad for a small town. But still, the museum is purely provincial and repairs are needed, at least to paint the walls. We did not take a guide, so we examined and photographed in expositions a la the way of life of the past. At the museum, you can book a full-day tour of Adjara with a visit to a much larger number of interesting places than tour operators offer, and for about the same price you will pay.
The museum is in the process of formation, but the exposition is already quite large. Respect to the director, he is rooting for the cause with his soul
