The impression is disgusting - first the wait for the cashier, who was not in place for 20 minutes, then no one explained to us that there is a paid tour (this is in addition, I do not know how much money to the 150 ruble ticket price) during which the guide is an arrogant aunt with
A disgruntled person who controls those who enter the hall tells at least something about the history of the Abkhazian kingdom to visitors. Thus, having paid for the entrance, we learned absolutely nothing new about the history of Abkhazia, but we really wanted to. I do not recommend this museum to visit.
In general, the Museum of local lore has become a real discovery for me. I recommend it to anyone who is interested in the history and culture of their region. This is a place where everyone can find something new and exciting! Quad biking at Quadro Pedro was a pleasant addition to the tour.
The museum is small, with two halls. Unfortunately, there was no excursion when we were visiting with our family. It would be great to listen. But even without that, I liked it. There are a lot of exhibits from the Anakopian fortress.

The museum consists of two halls. There are not many exhibits, but there are some very interesting ones. The audio guide is very monotonous, it is difficult to listen, but it is more informative with it (200₽).
Children under 10 years old are free of charge.
The museum consists of two halls. There are quite a lot of exhibits. Of the minuses: the guide and the controller at the entrance at the same time, so I was constantly forced to be distracted and the tour turned out to be somehow crumpled.
The museum staff are angry and unfriendly. My husband wanted to see the exhibits in the museum, but I was very sick from the heat, I went in without a ticket to sit down at the exit of the museum and wait for my husband, but they kicked me out, shoved me in like the last thief, because there was no ticket. Maybe, living in St. Petersburg, they have already become accustomed to a different culture, but such things make up an unfavorable impression of this "country" on the whole. Yes, maybe someone will think that these are small things and is it really difficult to buy a ticket? But I have been to many countries and apparently more civilized, in the same Greece you would not only be given a seat, but also offered water for free. What does Abkhazia hope for with such an attitude? That Turkey will be forever closed and crowds will come and watch their devastation?!
The Museum of Local Lore helps to learn the history of New Athos. A detailed description of the periods of history. There are not too many exhibits, so it will take no more than an hour to visit.
If you come to Abkhazia and don't understand where you are, go to this museum and find out. Be sure to book a guide, you will not regret, for 200 rubles you will hear what the exhibits and local residents will not say.
Luba - the cashier was waited for a very long time and not only by us, 100 rubles are scanty exhibits, an uninteresting tour interrupted by people like us who want to see the museum. In the absence of "Luba", the guide treated those who were hungry for history.I'm upset and so are the kids.
It doesn't work! There is no schedule. There is no answer to the phone. There is no one to ask. 🤷

It's beautiful from the outside, they never got inside. It was closed all the time, but we came in the evening, most likely during daytime hours. We did not set out to visit the museum, so we were content with the beauties around it)
Unfortunately, it was not possible to visit the museum, we were only on the territory. The desire to replenish their impressions was discouraged by touts-dealers of photos with animals. The animals are beautiful, but the actions of their owners are unscrupulous.
A small museum consisting of two halls, you pay for admission and explore on your own. Exhibits from the Stone Age to the present day are presented: archaeological finds, tools, household items, weapons, old photographs, chronicles of the Abkhazian dynasties. I think the museum can be visited for general development.
