One of the evidences of the power of the ancient Mughal Empire, the Red Fort in Delhi, today recalls the diverse Indian history.
The fort was the residence of the padishah, who decided to move the capital of the empire to Delhi, which is why the structure was so carefully thought out. The area of the fort is about 250 hectares, and the length of the surrounding wall is 1.5 kilometers. The color of the red brick fence gave the fort its name, and the interior structures are made of light marble and sandstone. During the heyday of the empire, the luxury of the palace's decoration was unparalleled, and about 3,000 servants were required for its regular maintenance.
From the balconies of the fort, you can see the mysterious Taj Mahal, monkeys are running around and a graceful peacock has been spotted.
I definitely recommend visiting the fort!
