DELIGHT! In one word, you can describe the impression of visiting the Crown shopping center. It is located far from the center and hiking trails, so we did not reach it. But in vain! The first feeling: as if it had just opened. Everything is sparkling, sparkling, clean! Trolleys, racks, counters are as good as new. The layout of the product is at the highest level: it is not dug up, everything is in its place, without voids, there is a price tag for each product. The spacious hall and the considerable distance between the equipment create a good overview and convenience for choosing the product. There is a huge assortment in each product category. People are increasingly refusing to carry a wallet, and once they enter the Crown, they may find themselves in a situation where they will not be able to pay for purchases at all. The second problem is self—service cash registers. If you buy products by weight (fruits, berries, frozen, etc.), then they must be weighed in advance in the appropriate department. You cannot do this at the checkout. In other networks, this moment has long been automated — the goods can be weighed right at the time of payment. But here, if you forgot or did not know about the need for weighing, you will have to go back to the department, weigh, then return to the checkout, and stand in line again. Both situations create significant discomfort, especially for those who value time and expect convenience and modern solutions from a large retail chain. And this is despite the fact that the rest of the store makes quite a good impression. Dear Management! Don't ignore the modern shopping habits. Abandoning Apple Pay and Google Pay is not a saving, but a loss of loyalty. And the need for manual weighing is an archaism that competitors have long abandoned. The administration's decisions are unclear - there are only 5 cash registers and they are close to each other. The Crown has so much territory in the pavilion, but 3x5 meters have been allocated for self-service ticket offices. People crowd in there and get in each other's way, especially if they come in with carts. Further, the system is not ready - fruits and vegetables were weighed at the checkout all the time, but in the case of service desks, you have to go to the department to the scales and stand in line at the auntie to weigh the products. It feels like we've gone back 10 years. Next, cooking. You buy pies in a container, they put a QR code on it. The solution is interesting, the implementation is crap. The first QR code was not readable, which is why the employee at the checkout had to run to the department to redo it, and we, accordingly, had to wait. The next QR code has made its way, but the system does not know how to punch the container, which is why you will not be able to punch the product without a store employee. It is unclear if there is a function to use your own package or not - we did not find it. The specialist has to run between people to help. In other stores, problems are often solved remotely. Entering the quantity of goods is also not intuitive - first you need to click enter the quantity and only then punch the product. On the contrary, the system does not allow it to be done. Compared to other stores, even the smallest and on a smaller budget, the implementation of self-service cash registers in Corona looks very bad. I hope that this is some kind of temporary solution and the ticket offices will be adjusted and the territory will be expanded, but at the moment it is very bad.
