A quiet, peaceful, old museum. In fact, this is some kind of former monarch's manor, beautiful parquet, stucco, but there is dust everywhere, it is clear that they do not really care about cleanliness. It is quite interesting to visit if you know the history of Egypt of the last 100 years. This is not the era of Mohamed Ali, but a hundred years later: the building in which the museum is located was built in the 1920s.
A small but very interesting museum, with a beautiful interior and wonderful exhibits. It is highly recommended to visit. Please note that the payment of tickets is only by card. We had a guide with us who paid with his Visa card, and we returned it to him in cash.
I really liked it and recommend visiting it. It is a pity that there was no guide, it would be interesting to hear the history of this palace. At the time of the visit, the entrance ticket cost 100 pounds.
It is a very beautiful museum, especially the royal bathroom, and the museum itself is located in the building of the palace of the era of Muhammad Ali. Be sure to go.
