The very name of the Penny, in my opinion, does not correspond to the time! I remember the distant 60s Khrushchev times, when a penny meant a lot! She was constantly missing. We were looking for everything: we went through our parents' pockets to buy a movie ticket, because we brought the ELUSIVE AVENGERS. The price in the club car is 5 kopecks per session! The saleswoman, some aunt Galya, because God forbid she won't give the change to the child! An excited mother will immediately come running! Everyone knew the price of a penny! We were constantly rummaging in the sand at beer stalls and under benches, looking for pennies that drunken WWII participants could drop; there were a lot of disabled people then! And the beer is very tasty and fresh! And the children were still sneaking under my feet! it was only later, as teenagers, that they began to understand that all this was humiliating! I still think that the name does not match! Today, young people come out of the store with two bags of groceries, not thinking about the price at all.
