Any monument (and even more so to the founder of the city, Prince Boris Vseslavovich) against the background of any temple (and even more so the Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ) looks even better than the moral of an anecdote with a beard of 2024 centimeters: "A banker who wants to marry his daughter, not the first youth, says to her: — When the count comes, sit at the a money safe. You look younger against his background!"... "The monument is good, but the pedestal is very poorly made. As if it were made of building concrete slabs" (MiGfly is a Connoisseur of the city of the 21st level on January 3, 2020). Still, yes - the pedestal urgently needs to be replaced with non-structural concrete slabs and add the inscription: "Boris, you were right!"...

The monument to Prince Boris Vseslavich in Borisov is located on Cathedral Square next to the Resurrection Cathedral. It was installed in 2002, on the occasion of the 900th anniversary of the city. The monument is a six-meter sculptural composition of two figures. Prince Boris is represented in the foreground in the princely attire of the XII century, in his left hand a sword-cross pointed at the ground, which rises above his head. With the palm of his other hand, the prince points to the land where the future city should be laid. There is a guardian angel figure behind the prince's shoulder. The sculptural composition is mounted on a two-tiered pedestal, which is embedded in a quarter of the radius of a small hill. The pedestal and the quarter of the hill are framed on both sides by irregularly shaped slabs. At the foot of the sculptural composition is a boulder with the year of the city's foundation. It was erected to the founder of the city of Borisov. An attraction for tourists, residents with children, a souvenir photo, and just to take a walk or sit on benches nearby and feed pigeons.
