I rarely write a negative review and never thought that I would write it sometime in Belarus!🫤
This is not our first time in the republic, and I am sure it will not be the last! A friendly republic with charming people and excellent service! And we've been to quite a lot of locations!
So, we arrived in Lida late on 10.05, and in the morning, on the recommendation of the administrators from the reception of the Lida hotel, we decided to have breakfast in the nearest cafes! It was going to be a long day, as we were driving to Grodno later, and the desire to refresh ourselves was strong! Plus, my husband's principle is that "eat breakfast yourself, take off lunch, and give dinner to the enemy"!
So, we went across the street to a coffee shop, there's a small selection, but I wanted fried eggs or porridge! After walking around the nearest neighborhood, I saw the Hugger cafe, and "o' joy", when we entered the cafe we saw a rich menu! At that moment, 4 people were sitting at breakfast in the cafe and were already having breakfast! Already looking forward to eating porridge with fried eggs, we come to the place of order! And here is the "oil painting"!
There were two people at the counter (but this is abstract, because one was running, the second was somewhere behind the coffee machines), as I understood the girl waiter, the second woman - it is unclear! either an employee or a director!
The word "hello or good morning" is not about them, but I did not pay attention, because I really wanted to have breakfast! Next: the first time - "will you accept the order here, or can I sit down? Something was squeezed out of the depths of the void "Here"!
Okay, I thought, let's go pretend to study the Menu again! Then the husband comes up: "take the order! I'll have an icing, porridge....and then: There is no glaze!" If only I could convey to you the intonation of communication. This is rudeness with snakes coming out of your mouth!
We naturally thought about it, since the emphasis was on scrambled eggs!
We're back to the Menu. Me: "and the quesadilla?" (it really slipped my mind, what is it?)!!!!!
The answer to this question was "is it so hard to read the Menu?"
It's just "the end and the curtain"!
I do not know how I restrained myself! Apparently, tact and upbringing were above the situation and feelings of hunger!
Having had enough of rudeness, we returned to the neighboring coffee shop (exactly opposite the entrance to the Lida hotel, in a straight line).
And there are two lovely enchantresses! 🧚Like fast bees: fed, warmed, and completely erased the "aftertaste" after the Hugger. ♥️
Delicious cottage cheese casserole, raspberry puree tea, croissants and a warm atmosphere! 🌈🌈🌈
We had a great time the rest of the day! Once again, there are many pleasant impressions from the meeting with the republic!
P.S. having worked in government in Moscow, I always respect the service sector! And I respect any profession.: locksmith, cook, cleaner! But this is "out of the ordinary"! We just entered the cafe, and the negativity was poured on us "just like that"!
I want to protect those who don't want to start the morning in a bad mood. I hope that after my review, the cafe's policy will be different, more welcoming to Muscovites!
This is an amazing atmospheric place.
We arrived in Lida for an excursion, leaving the Lida Castle you go straight to the coffee shop..... but the entrance is like platform 9 3/4—if not very big-eyed, then you can blink)). Fragrant tea, and desserts are beyond praise. It is not always possible to find such delicious food even in expensive famous coffee shops. Decor with your own hands, a bird in a cage, fresh flowers. We got a real pleasure.
Unfortunately, I didn't take a photo - I enjoyed my eyes
