I recently visited the Garni Temple, I haven't been there for 10 years, and it was an unforgettable experience! The place has been greatly transformed, well landscaped. But the entrance has become paid)) Garni is an ancient Armenian temple, located on a picturesque background of mountains and gorges, which impresses with its architectural beauty and historical significance. Of course, it's better to go there on a weekday so that there are fewer people. The architecture of the temple is amazing: the columns, carvings and details are simply fascinating. The views from the temple grounds are especially impressive — they offer stunning panoramas of the surrounding landscape. If you are looking for a place for spiritual enrichment or just want to enjoy the beauty of nature and architecture, Garni Temple is the perfect choice. I will definitely come back here again!
This is not my first trip to this beautiful place. You will be amazed by the beauty and grandeur of the mountains, the temple itself, as well as the nearby stone symphony. Do not forget to go and see and learn the history of the ancient baths, they are located next to the temple (not reaching the right). You can buy a lot of souvenirs, goodies, drink coffee and have a delicious meal. I also recommend buying herbal tea, it makes a wonderful fragrant tea. It is especially well drunk on cold autumn or winter evenings. I recommend visiting on a comprehensive trip (Arch of Charents-Garni-Geghard- Stone Symphony)
An incredible structure.
Stunning views.
A unique sauna complex.
I hope that they will continue to restore the historical complex.
You can make a great photo shoot.
There are a lot of tourists.
Definitely worth a visit. The territory is small, but the views are gorgeous, the temple is very well located. And the atmosphere of antiquity comes from the temple, from its old stones
A very interesting place near Yerevan with a fascinating history. It is necessary to read it) and I recommend you to visit
There is a unique natural phenomenon nearby - a symphony of stones
Great!!! It impresses with its size and how it was all built! The guide told a lot of interesting and informative things, I advise you to visit. The nature and views of the mountains are simply divine.
A complete delight, a natural wonder, a unique place in the mountains. The view is simply magnificent, we walked with our mouths open and enjoyed the atmosphere. There is a steam train that runs back and forth, you can ride with the breeze
A wonderful place that is definitely worth visiting when traveling to Armenia! The natural landscape of the mountains against the background of the temple is very impressive. We took a taxi to stay there longer, because time is limited on excursions.
It's a cool place. If you want to find yourself somewhere in Athens, then come here. A place steeped in history. It was interesting to find out the whole history of the place, how and by whom it was created. Why is it left. There is nothing special to see in the temple itself, but the place is excellent. There is a ruined church next to the temple. Then the grape fields of the locals.
It was interesting to see the carved Atlas, the steps and the preserved Arabic calligraphy prayer. Very cool
It is a very interesting place, it rather resembles some kind of Greek temple. In reality, it turned out to be much smaller than it seemed to us in the photo. Next to the temple there is a park area where you can hide from the heat by walking under the trees. It is better to come with a guide, it will be difficult to understand something on your own. The entrance ticket is 1500 AMD. There are magnificent views of the mountains from the observation decks. It is also nice to have drinking sources
A beautiful historical place, a unique object, although it has been restored and only part of the structure is made of ruins. It's still spectacular, interesting. Beautiful views open up, I attach to the photo
Garni liked the temple very much, the panorama of the gorge of the Azat River is fascinating. You can get from Yerevan with an excursion, by car or by minibus 266 from the east. MegaMol
The temple is located on the edge of a cliff, revealing picturesque places. A very beautiful architectural structure, gives you the opportunity to get acquainted with the primitive epochs. Inside the temple ... there is nothing, which is strange, you expect stone processing :) The review will take no more than 30 minutes. But you should definitely go down. I recommend you to visit.
The place is good, beautiful, the view is excellent, the staff is pleasant, I recommend it.
Only the entrance is constantly getting more expensive, and I didn't really notice any changes compared to what it was 2 years ago.
I recommend.
a beautiful place, great views, but as if 1500 drams is too expensive
if you go in the warm season, there are so many people that there is nothing to breathe
the cold weather in autumn/winter is already better, but you know, the atmosphere with a gray sky is no longer there
A pagan temple in the Greek style. Rebuilt after the earthquake. The interior has not been preserved. Beautiful views from the viewing benches next to the temple.
It is a very atmospheric and interesting place. It is wonderful that the temple has been restored and maintained in good condition. There are viewpoints and beautiful mountains all around. After the temple, be sure to visit the "Symphony of Stones".
I did not expect to see a temple in such an architectural style in Armenia. The temple is perfectly preserved, I definitely recommend a visit. We stopped by in a rented car, stayed for about half an hour or an hour and went to other attractions, fortunately everything is not very far from Yerevan.
A temple that leaves an amazing feeling of unreality of architecture. It is unusual, as if not from here and at the same time harmoniously located on this earth. One of those places that you definitely need to visit in Armenia
Pagan temple of the 1st century AD.
Not far from the symphony of stones, ancient baths have also been preserved, an amazing view of the gorge, there is a tour in Russian
In my "MUST-visit" list, this landmark occupied the highest positions. And, as practice has shown, not in vain! The majestic pagan temple, against the background of mountain landscapes, looks simply amazing.
The only architectural monument that has been preserved on the territory of Armenia, dating back to the era of paganism and Hellenism. It was built in the 1st century AD. The temple is made of basalt. It was destroyed in the earthquake of 1679. It was restored from the ruins in the 70s of the twentieth century.
It is a wonderful historical place , which you need to visit carefully .The spirit of history is imbued in the walls of the temple , surrounded by endless beautiful nature .just below is Geghard, I advise you to see
A must-visit when traveling in Armenia! In the evening, the backlight turns on, in the afternoon there is a great view of the surrounding beauty and the valley of the Azat River (UNESCO site)
Awesome I will definitely visit you when I am still in Armenia. It feels like you are in ancient Greece, in some Athens. I advise you to come in the evening when the backlight turns on. Such a beauty 😍
It was built in the 1st century, when the territory of Armenia was a province of the Roman Empire. Antiquity :) Nearby in the gorge is a unique place "Symphony of stones" - the walls of the gorge consist of identical "pillars" of hexagons. Very beautiful.
Beautiful views, the temple itself is worth attention, to touch the antiquity. A cozy well-groomed territory, there are benches, there are shops with food and drinks near the entrance. But there is nothing to do there for more than 10-20 minutes
Temple and temple, there is nothing to see, BUT the nature around is fascinating, mountains, greenery, waterfall, birds sing ... apparently to whom that) there is a symphony of stones not far away, you can walk there for pleasure.
Հայոց հրաշքներից մեկը, գիշերով լրիվ ուրիշ տեսարան է: A divine place, you definitely need to go, by the way, this Armenian miracle looks special in the dark.
It's definitely worth a trip, it's ancient and beautiful. And also go to the "symphony of stones" nearby. Nature has tried hard for you :) (in the photo, a symphony of stones)
We liked it. A well-maintained place. Parking space. Beautiful views. But there are a lot of people, it is problematic to take a picture with the temple
A very beautiful place, surrounded by mountains and a river. We took a taxi from Yerevan, the road is good, smooth, 40-50 minutes in time. Entrance is paid, you can purchase an audio guide at the entrance.
In the evening, the view is much more interesting, they turn on the backlight. But the price of the dedication is somehow alarming. They naturally ask for money in the parking lot. But it's on all the attractions. There are benches on the territory itself. And a beautiful view of the mountains and the river
A beautiful place! The pagan temple of Garni is located among beautiful mountains and gorges! When you think about how it was built, you are simply surprised by the quality of that time and the current technologies available to us now.... But you don't walk there for a very long time, there's not much territory. We also need to be attentive to paid parking, we parked not far from the entrance and only found out at the exit that it was paid. If this is your first time here, then it is MANDATORY TO VISIT, but the second time, I would not go, well, at least for my money.
An interesting, ancient place, we were in early May, so there were few people, they say, there is a lot more flow in the season. It takes about 40 minutes by car from Yerevan. It's more interesting with a guide, of course, but you can do it without it. The approximate visit time is 30 minutes, the complex is small.
Very beautiful views. It is a pity that the temple could not withstand the earthquake and many original parts were lost, and the new ones are too noticeable, but the overall impression is still 5
A little bit of Rome in the mountains of Armenia. It's a beautiful place. Beautiful view of the mountains. Pay attention to the Atlanteans at the entrance to the temple itself. You can rent a drone.
A beautiful place, an ancient temple and thermal baths, it is better to arrive early in the morning, while there are few visitors, near the market you can buy homemade wines and cognac
Don't set foot here anymore. Shameful people, the holy temple made 1,500 drams. Shame on you, there are few places left in the country, and you are setting such prices here. That is, if a family of 6 people arrives, must pay 9000dramm? Ugh on you. Shame on you. I don't advise anyone to come here. And there's nothing to look at on the rocks?
A restored pagan temple. It is very ancient, individual pieces have been embedded among the new stones since that time. There is a picturesque valley around. Energy is not a comfortable place, especially if you read the history. And a lot of tourists, of course.
