A pretty good Korean restaurant, especially considering the supply chain challenges of Tashkent - they manage to source authentic ingredients. Service was fine. You pay a price for this though - food is expensive compared to other local places. Will visit again.
Han Kang Restaurant has moved to a new location. Yet again it is semi basement, however with a bright interior. The food is average, some of the items are above average, like mandu chongol or kimchi chongol. They do have korean soju, very expensive.
Service is okay. Waiters cant speak well english or russian, but i could see that they had no trouble with korean.
I was addicted to this cuisine by a friend who lived in Yu.Korea is 8 years old. It all started with a cafe in the parking lot of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The cook there was grandma, who cooked an amazing "Korean borscht" - kimchige. Then the cafe moved across the street between Zhemchug and the 9th floor building. That's where the name came from. Finally, now the owners seem to have bought (as they stated) this basement, where they moved for the last time about 3 years ago. How many waiters have changed during this time, how much water has flowed... But Grandma remains unchanged (God grant her a long life) and her kitchen.
I recommend it to all lovers of Korean cuisine!
