The Kempinski hotel chain does not need advertising, but I will say a few words. Very beautiful design. There is a lot of water on the territory. Beautiful landscape design. The rooms are comfortable. The bed is sooo big. Incredibly comfortable pillows. Now about the cons. We were accommodated in the outermost block on the 4th floor. There is no elevator. The ceilings are high and therefore the stairs are long. Stomp up and down at least six times a day. It's not critical for someone, but it is for us. It is on the upper floors that there are very small balconies. If there are two chairs and a table, it is not possible to turn around at all. You can't hide from the sun..the top is covered with an infrequent grille. There is another problem - pigeons are resting on this grid and the entire balcony, including chairs and a table, is dirty. The balcony is cleaned every third time. Cleaning...it is clear that in the morning everyone is on the beach and it's time to clean up, but they come with cleaning at lunch and later. So we stayed without cleaning several times. There is no "do not disturb" sign, so they come with water and fresh towels during an afternoon nap. Meal...In principle, it is very diverse, but almost all is bland, tasteless. With a bright local taste, only salads and a large selection of them. Very tasty desserts, very tasty and fresh bread. The beach is clean and comfortable. Large stationary umbrellas, comfortable sun beds, there is something like a wicker fence at each umbrella, which creates a feeling of comfort and intimacy. You can get as many towels as you want and the staff will bring them, put sun beds as you like, bring water. There is a call button on each umbrella. You can order food and drinks. Fruits are distributed for free. Important! The beach with children is located separately and this is strictly observed. Shower, toilet, a place to wash your feet from the sand. There are no locals, there are no nonsense sellers. There are several shops in the hotel. You can buy bathing accessories, flip-flops, hats, pareos, a mask with a snorkel for swimming, sweaters, aromatic oils, local creams, karkade. There is a school for teaching sailing on boards with a sail. There is an entertainment program on weekends. Two years ago, we ordered the so-called royal room, all the difference from the rest is a large balcony and a gorgeous view. This year, they tried to cheat us at the settlement...they asked for an additional payment of 3,000 euros for 12 days!!! And we ordered it in advance, but they didn't give it to us..Well, it's already booked, so we ordered a regular one. Now it's clear why it was booked...the field for wiring...local flavor, so to speak. We flew to Cairo for two days. Additional transfer...with hassle, despite the advance payment and the voucher. An individual transfer to the airport was also ordered...We got a general one..with check-ins at all hotels..They also tried to accuse us...An additional confirmation is required for such a transfer...Well, in short, it's also a local flavor
Everything is learned in comparison…
In comparison with other Egyptian hotels, it is very decent here ... if you compare the cost and quality with hotels of the same price category in Turkey and Abu Dhabi, then there are strong questions…
The most exciting thing about this hotel is the bay and the beach!!!
The entrance to the water is sandy - children swim in peace!!!
After swimming or walking a little, healthy coral begins!!!
There is probably the best entrance to the water and a bay with corals (better than Ras Mohammed in Sharma)
Minuses
The children's room is simpler than in an ordinary restaurant in Russia. The animators are basically trying, but they look like prisoners of war… In principle, there is no comparison with good Turkish hotels
, the spa and sauna are very small and children under 16 are not allowed
The tables in the restaurant are very tightly arranged, the passage is not convenient
It's dark enough at dinner in the restaurant... I would like to see what you eat ... And, in principle, dinner is due to the density of tables, darkness and a small area where food is chosen (food is not visible which is being prepared - you focus on people who have already received it) somehow it does not cause enthusiasm (although the food is of high quality)
The gym is very small... basically no…
Very inadequate prices for alcohol in the bar
There are no napkins or wet wipes in the dining room
Terrible tea at the beach bar!!! Straight guard…
The quality of service procedures (employees try, but ...) at dinner, you can wait 20 minutes for coffee and because of the illogicality of the organization of some procedures, sometimes everything is very slow and with errors…
The Internet is not very good, to put it mildly ... especially if you want to work remotely or study
Flies on the beach
Positive
excellent breakfast
Champagne is served for breakfast !!!
Decent beach
There are many corals nearby that can be easily reached
A wonderful promenade with cafes and restaurants + you can go jogging!!!
There is a yacht parking next to the hotel = you can take a boat for walks
The rooms with sea view are very cool (it is the sea view)
The restaurant has a children's room for dinner!!! It's very cool if, after feeding the children, you want to eat quietly yourself!!! They draw funny faces there, turn on cartoons and, in principle, entertain them somehow
There are no problems with queues, sun beds on the beach and a place in the dining room (we rested on NG)
There are discos on the beach in the evening!!! It's very cool to watch the sunset over the sea, drink and dance.
Children's beach toys (scoops, molds, etc.)
Good shampoos in the room
There is a TRX area on the beach
P.S. The design of the hotel with an antique twist - perfectly hides the jambs of decoration and crumbling interior elements - maybe it was intended that way 😉
A wonderful hotel. Service for all 5 stars. The perfect beach. Your own coral reef (no need to go anywhere). The food is delicious and mega diverse! The menu changes every day. There are many excursions at the hotel and beyond. Both with and without children, a great vacation is guaranteed. There is a kindergarten, there are animators, a children's pool and more than one. And a few for adults. There is a supermarket, pharmacy, medical center, car rental, a bunch of shops on the territory. The territory also has its own pier, yacht rental, excursions for divers on them, etc. There are clubs for windsurfers, surfers, divers and snorkelers. Rent the necessary equipment right there. There are several bars with different themes and restaurants. The rooms are spacious and cozy. Everything you need is there. The room cooling system is wonderful. Of the cons: expensive transfer (beware of thieves from the FTI team, unscrupulous, unencumbered by decency people who are ready to heat you up at the first opportunity), I would also like to warn that the staff does not know Russian. But the problem is easily solved with the help of a regular translator (Yandex Translate to help). And so, you can explain yourself with gestures. But in defense of the hotel staff, these people sincerely want to help and understand you :)
A super place, but with its own audience. Here, wealthy European middle-aged people spend a calm, measured rest. Everything is orderly, peaceful and very expensive. The staff is courteous and unobtrusive. Evening animation to match the audience. Prices at the bar - for 15-20 dollars you get a cocktail of very poor quality. The price is normal for 5*, but the quality does not pull (it does not let you forget that Egypt is still not even Turkey)
Nearby Robinson has all the fun and discos until the morning, but the cons are the same
A great hotel, one of the rare truly five-star hotels in Egypt
Of the advantages:
Excellent location - the hotel is located on a protected peninsula 40 kilometers from Hurghada Airport. Entry to the peninsula is limited to outsiders, there are several more 4* and 5* hotels and several villas next to this hotel, so it will not be possible to meet "random" people and intrusive merchants typical of Egypt there, apparently, therefore there are a lot of families with young children in the hotel, take this into account when choosing places of residence.
Excellent service - everything is at the highest level, from the moment of check-in to check-out, when a hotel employee arrives at the appointed time without additional reminders and requests to take the luggage to the taxi.
A very pleasant restaurant with a variety of cuisine, European and local, where some new dishes are prepared every day.
The territory of the hotel is very pleasant, clean, well-maintained with four or even more pools, for every taste (heated Jacuzzi, children's, large swimming pool, smaller swimming pool, etc.)
Of the cons:
The quality of room cleaning can be improved, although cleaning was carried out twice a day, but during the week of our stay, the mirrors were never wiped, the balcony was cleaned every other time, and the sand was not always swept out of the room. They clearly have something to work on here.
I will also note the restaurant's policy regarding dinner (we had half board), this is not even a minus, but rather a feature that you need to be prepared for - absolutely any drinks (including regular water) are paid for at dinner. For example, a bottle of still drinking water cost about 600 rubles. (as of January 22)
