Cologne Dome Cathedral in 1248.
The 157-meter towers of the cathedral are a symbol of the city of Cologne. Mighty pointed arched windows in the middle of the western facade. The inner space seems to flow into the outer one. I admire the Gothic architecture. It is a miracle that it was preserved during the war. The cathedral is called the "glass temple". More than 10,000 sq.m. of glass in different eras were turned into priceless works of art here. The crystal sea of stained glass windows in the upper choir was created in 1304-1321. The famous Biblical stained glass windows of 1260. Bavarian stained glass windows are a wonderful creation of the new Gothic. Romantic stained glass windows were created by medieval craftsmen. Paintings, sculptures, and relics fill the interior of the cathedral.
