Wonderful place, wonderful people!
The place is ideal for kiting for both pros and beginners. Especially beginners. People like me. There is something to compare with — for the first time I got on the board in Egypt (Sharm el-Sheikh), studied for 12 hours. Then 6 hours here.
1) Perfect sandy bottom, no rocks or corals. The bottom is flat, evenly goes into depth: 20 meters from the shore — waist—deep, 30 meters - you can still stand (I am 183 cm). There are almost no tides, the level is stable.
2) the ideal wind starts from lunch (around 14:00) and until the evening (17-18). Smooth, without gusts. And "dense," as coach Alexey says. Unlike, for example, Georgia, where 15 knots may not lift the 11th kite, here you can ride it with a weaker wind of 10 knots. In general, for a beginner who has not yet learned how to catch the wind, there is a reserve of "power". Moreover, the guys give the students a size 14.
3) cool wind and shore, on the one hand, is good for a beginner, but on the other — not very much, because there are a lot of people who want to ride. The whole horizon is covered in kites. Up to 600 pieces at a time. There are fewer people on weekdays, and yet July-August is very crowded here, even on weekdays. To prevent a beginner from being "trampled", the owners of the base limit the number of kiters on their site — when I was studying, I was either alone or with 1-2 more kites on the 300-meter strip, while there were 20-30 kites on the bases on the left and right. I couldn't have done it there.
4. The base has a place on the shore for training on land, without sunbeds, tourists and other obstacles. There is no such luxury in Egypt — the whole coast is full of hotels.
5. Olya and Alexey teach in Russian, which is extremely important to me. The broken Anglo-Arabic was of little use. By the way, this is the only Russian—speaking database in Montenegro - verified. And maybe all over the Adriatic.
6. The guys do not save on equipment. The bar is the lightest and, moreover, with a mechanical power switch — the latest word of technology) I've never seen one like it. The kite is new, unlike Egypt, where everything is old and darned, torn to shreds from the slightest impact on the water. There are trapezoids, hydra and boards of all sizes. In general, there is nothing to complain about.
In the six hours that I've been working out here, I've started to get up on the board with confidence. Thanks a lot to Lesha and Olya. I continue in the same spirit)
