We were choosing where to take my wife's mother on the first day in Yerevan, and we settled on this restaurant. They didn't regret it at all!
The food is delicious, the prices are quite reasonable, and the staff is very responsive (special thanks to the waiters Eric and Davit).
Throughout the evening, Soviet-era melodies and occasionally modern ones were played by the beautiful pianist Karine, who politely communicated with all the guests and even helped the children play simple melodies.
All this together created a cozy, almost homely atmosphere.
I will name two disadvantages, but they are not enough to lower the rating:
1. Lemonade is made not on simple carbonated water, but on mineral water, the taste is peculiar.
2. The piano is upset. Please invite a customizer, and the evenings in your restaurant will become even more enjoyable!
P.S. In the photo there is a lamb dastarkhan, it was a lot for three people, so it's probably worth taking it for four with a couple of snacks.

As usual, a cheerful company of 20 people came in the evening on 08/25/2024 to have dinner. The food is great (all tastes were satisfied), the service is excellent, the staff is polite, those who had questions explained everything to everyone. Great live music, thanks a lot to the lady who played the piano for the mood she created, a wonderful performance! We plunged into the atmosphere of the 60s and 70s. Many thanks to all the restaurant staff for a wonderful evening!

We were in the "Caucasian Captive" on 11/21/24. On weekdays there were free tables, but we were warned that there would be a full boarding on weekends. The interior is styled after the film of the same name. Polite staff. We ordered tolma with veal, khinkali with meat, tan and dogwood compote. The dishes did not cause delight, the compote is delicious. Among the advantages: it is located in the city center, a large selection of dishes, prices are not cosmic, they accept Mir cards.

Good afternoon. The first time and the first day in Yerevan. And the first restaurant is the Caucasian Captive. We are traveling with a big family. We have been to Georgia, Crimea, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, of course, in many European countries, i.e. there is something to compare it with. The restaurant has a wonderful interior, but the food as first courses (pea soup, lentil soup), second courses (dolma, etc.) is ordinary table food, salted, cold, without any decoration. It's not tasty!At the same time, we were all unanimous, and there were seven of us. Of course, it's a pity. And you feel ashamed. We definitely will not recommend this restaurant to our friends and acquaintances

We had a great lunch, delicious, khachapuri waited no more than 20 minutes.
Live music was playing - piano, an additional plus!
At first we came to the restaurant of the same name closer to the center, but there were no seats there and the hostess kindly booked us a table in this institution.

I ordered turkey cutlets with vegetables. They brought it quickly, but it would be better not to carry it at all:
1) the cutlets on the menu take up half of the plate, in reality - a quarter.
2) The cutlets are burnt and hard, they were only cut with a knife.
3) instead of vegetables in the photo, there were mushrooms in the plates, drowned in oil and a couple of pieces of pepper. There was a lot of oil.
Fried suluguni was also ordered, it was brought barely warm, and the cheese inside had already cooled and hardened back.
But the khachapuri on the skewer was awesome! Hot, fresh, the cheese inside stretched, delicious!

It seems to be more of a tourist destination than for locals. Delicious kharcho, meat dishes. But in general, it feels like the guests are not very welcome. No one met us at the entrance, waiters and other employees were passing by, everyone was not up to us. The waiter was a very young boy, he tried very hard, but he mixed up the tea, but we drink any kind, it's not scary. In general, it's not bad, but so far there is no desire to return, or you need to go at hours when there is no one at all

I ordered a pork neck for 3600 drams and brought 2 pieces of meat, one of which consists of 3/4 bone.
The manager argued for a long time that it was 300 grams and that it was just such a bony neck.
I've ordered a barbecue a lot of places, but this is the first time I've seen such a neck.
There was no time to wait for a new portion for another 30 minutes, and the impression of the evening and the place was greatly spoiled.

Amazing atmosphere and incredibly delicious food.
We were very lucky when we were in the restaurant, there was live music. The magnificent pianist Kara charged the guests of the restaurant with enchanting emotions and a joyful mood.

The place is not the best. The lamb kebab is dry, I liked only the chicken kebab and khinkali. The waiter did not say that the dish was missing, brought another dish, and began to argue. Then he walked around with a sidelong glance . The appliances were waiting for a long time ( there were only knives on the table ) . There is little food for children and soft drinks . The bread is similar to yesterday's, as is the meat. Does not match the pictures in the menu . They asked to pay for the terrible service, but they refused. The restaurant is popular with Russian tourists for this film. Maybe we were unlucky, but I don't advise walking. The restaurant spoils the impression of Yerevan

Delicious, interesting interior, but that's it. The service is disgusting. It all starts with the fact that there is nowhere to take off their outerwear, people are forced to wave their hands near densely arranged tables. Two menus were brought to us for three, only one of which is in Russian. We took turns leafing through and choosing what to order, but waited even longer for our order to be accepted. There are no desserts on the menu, but we were given an additional sheet with cakes. We ordered hot and dessert. The first set brought cakes, one of which was with ice cream… Then they brought drinks and half an hour later they brought one hot one, later the other two. For such an expensive cost of dishes, it is unpleasant to tolerate such service. I do not recommend it!

We ordered kebab and khinkali. The kebab was brought, but it was dry, khinkali was waited for half an hour, they did not bring them to us. We were at lunch, there was an empty hall, the workload was low. We turned to the waiter, at first she said that they had not been punched in the receipt, after we found the receipt, she told us to wait some more. We decided to leave without waiting, without compensation. The waiters are slow and not very friendly, the cooks are apparently even slower. I don't recommend it.
If 10% tips were not automatically included in the receipt, they would not have left a tip at all
