An amazing place, with indescribable energy. The Avan Temple, also known as the Avan Church of the Most Holy Theotokos Katogike (arm. Ավանի Սուրբ Աստվածածին Կաթողիկե Եկեղեցի, Avani Surb Astvatsatsin Kaktogike Ekegetsi), Katogike Tsiranavor or Surp Hovhannes is a destroyed Armenian church of the VI century, located in the Avan district of Yerevan. The oldest church in Yerevan, which has survived to the present day.
