It is very beautiful, and from a height almost the whole of Yerevan is visible, Mount Ararat in all its beauty and grandeur. You can climb up the stairs, who is hard on foot, you can take the escalator. There are different installations on each floor, there is something to see. I highly recommend it
The place is very interesting!!! Of course, not everyone may like the sculptures and some of them are not clear, but there are very curious ones! And the view of the city is amazing!
I didn't like it. At all.
The view from the top of the cascade, from the observation deck is just crazy, the city is visible at a glance. But the exhibition of so-called modern art inside the cascade, when you go up the escalator, is an ordinary trash. The installations and exhibits are dirty, dusty, the exposition is clearly not being updated, and in general this experimental exhibition is not impressive, to put it mildly.
Oh, that's unusual. You can see the big and small Ararat mountains in cloudless weather. You can take a good walk in and to/from the complex itself and explore the city.
A very interesting, unusual place. A cool and diverse art tour exhibition, and the cascade itself is interesting. It's a pity that it's not finished! You can take a lot of beautiful and stylish photos, admire the city. And shake up a hearty dinner by going upstairs for a long time :)
I fell in love with this city. It's a beautiful place. I always thought it was hard to surprise me with food - BUT! Yerevan is really the culinary capital of the world. Paris is resting.
The complex itself is designed very well. There is a very good view of the city. There are free expositions inside. Unfortunately, it was never completed. To climb to the top, it is necessary to bypass the construction pit. Therefore, 4 stars.
Thank you very much to everyone who created such beauty. There are many exhibitions and museums while you are climbing, for convenience, an escalator, the park itself is an open museum, many restaurants and recreation areas. We had a lot of fun, we visited several times , each time we discovered something new for ourselves. I recommend it for a mandatory visit.
It is beautiful both during the day and in the evening. For those who find it difficult to climb the stairs, there is an escalator, you can get to the upper plateau, enjoy a beautiful view of the city and go down the steps.
In the evening, many young people relax on the cascades. There is a beautiful view of Yerevan from the top. It's hot during the day, but you can get a better look at the armor.
It is a very interesting, monumental complex, where you climb up in the afternoon and evening and with each subsequent ascent a new beautiful view of Yerevan opens.
The fountain complex starts working from 10 o'clock.... very beautiful....you can climb both on foot and by escalator, the entrance is on the left side....at night, of course, the view of the cascade itself is much brighter and more beautiful, but during the day, in good weather, an indescribable view of Ararat opens....
The staircase is super, I really liked it, there is a great view of the city from above, and the physical activity is excellent, although there is an escalator inside, the fountains are very beautiful, the lighting. I would like it to be completed, trees planted on the sides or something else, improved. But, disappointment and bewilderment about the sculptures, naked Atlanteans with multicolored lighting are not in the subject at all, at the bottom of the sculpture... some nonsense, a blue kiwi, a fat woman... The cascade is one of the attractions of the city, these sculptures disfigure and devalue.
A wonderful place at all times of the day. In the morning, you can see Ararat from the very top of the cascade. In the evening, admire the cascade in the backlight. Amazing installations and atmosphere
An unusual, beautiful place in the heart of Yerevan. From above, the whole city is in the palm of your hand. You can see the mountains. Comfortable ascent on the excolator inside .
If you are in Yerevan, then the Cascade is obligatory for initiation. I recommend taking the escalator (there are interesting objects of modern art there) and going down on foot. The view of the city from above is amazing!
The concept, scale and execution are impressive. Terraces and a cascade of waterfalls are very beautifully inscribed into the mountainside. Each terrace is both similar to the previous one and, at the same time, peculiar. Each one has interesting sculptures, national ornaments, bas-reliefs of birds and animals. Very beautiful! The Cascade was built in the last XX century in the Art Deco style of light travertine. It was opened in 1980 by architects Jim Torosyan and Aslan Mkhitaryan. The height of the cascade is 78 meters. An underground tunnel with escalators is laid along the entire Cascade (for the lazy or for bad weather). The exhibits of the Gafeschyan Art Center are located in the tunnel. Each terrace has an entrance to the museum. Unfortunately, the Cascade is not completed! The upper part was supposed to connect with the square of the 50th anniversary of the revolution, but it was never completed. There is a grandiose ruin and abandonment. The locals say that it can no longer be completed. it is necessary to demolish everything and do it all over again. Too many years have passed!
They were in early October 2024. It looked dreary from afar. It's impressive up close. Repairs were underway, or rather they were not going on. The last part of the cascade is either not worthy, or has been dismantled. We went all the way to the top. We went to the monuments of the 50th anniversary of the USSR and political prisoners. Beautiful view of the city. There is an escalator on the left side if you go up. You can also build a route from top to bottom. In fact, a cascade is a staircase from one part of the city to another. I advise travelers to build a route this way. Get to the top, go down to admire the views and then continue walking through the city center.
There are exhibition halls inside the cascade.
Good afternoon, travelers. A very interesting place in the center of Yerevan. With a great history. There are many restaurants and cafes with good cuisine nearby. It is a very beautiful place at any time of the year. I recommend
A cool architectural complex, do not be lazy, climb to the very top. Everything is thought out , you can relax on each flight , wash your face with cold water . We will definitely come back when they reach the top and climb again!
It's an amazing place, now Yerevan is my favorite city) Especially at night, climb higher and the whole city is illuminated in the palm of your hand) In the hottest weather, it is better to go up on the escalator, which is on the left side, and it is pleasant to go down in any weather yourself) There is a fountain at the bottom of the Cascade, you can refresh yourself)
We were passing through Yerevan at night. We managed to drop in here. I really liked it, I would love to come back. There are many cafes and attraction areas around.
One of the best places for lovers of walking and art, a beautiful view of Yerevan and many places where you can have a snack / drink coffee. Probably the first place where tourists and travelers should go!
The view of the city is wonderful. A wonderful travelator will lift 2/3 of the total height. Interesting sculptures. But the flower beds are a little short of masterpieces.
We climbed the Cascade 2 times and were very satisfied. During the day, a wonderful view of Ararat and the city. In the evening, great lighting and the atmosphere is already different. We took a lot of photos, but we couldn't upload everything here. The building itself is recognizable, perfectly integrated into the landscape and urban environment. The first time we went up on an excalator (on the left, inside) . Excalator is a gallery of modern art)) a wonderful artistic solution of the interior space . The most pleasant memories❤
It is a very beautiful place, especially in summer. It's just a pity that there are no cafes upstairs. There would be a beautiful view from their windows and you could relax, have a snack after climbing
It's a very beautiful place. You can walk up the stairs, but for those who have a hard time there is an elevator. The most beautiful view of the city. You can sit and admire Mount Ararat.
It's a good attraction, it's just a pity that it's not finished. I strongly advise you not to go up to the topmost observation deck, because from there you can see the unfinished building and spoil the whole impression
The place is very unusual. The staircase connects two parts of the city: the plain and the mountain. It is also a gathering place for sightseeing tours. From the height of the cascade there is a view of Ararat. However, the stairs and handrails are not very nice at the top.
The place is really attractive. From the upper points, the best view of Ararat (the mountain). If you're lucky, you can see it in its entirety, without covering it with clouds and white haze. This is the intrigue). According to the photos, the impressions are not the same at all. You need to be there in reality. As for the mountain itself, this is what it is worth coming to Yerevan itself for.
It's an amazing place. Definitely worth a visit. A lot of sculptures will make you smile and make you think, and the view of the city from the highest point is wonderful.
You need to visit Yerevan at least once, Mount Ararat is clearly visible from the Cascade in clear weather!!! There are a lot of cafes downstairs that are very good, very tasty to eat, but know the prices here are higher than in the center.
I was in Yerevan in September 2023. Cascade is a great place for walking and relaxing. The first time I climbed several flights on foot, looked at interesting sculptures, took photos. And the next day I found out about the escalator, on which you can climb to the very top))) It is located to the left of the stairs. The escalator itself is interesting because interesting sculptures are also placed along the course of its movement. If you have time, then you can sit on the Cascade near the fountains, look at the city. In general, this is a very pleasant place to relax, there are a lot of young people there. There are several cafes, parks nearby
A very atmospheric place in Yerevan. There is an observation deck at the top.A breathtaking view of Ararat opens up.Inside the sculpture and installation. There is an escalator!Just an amazing place, a must-visit)
A magnificent monument of art! Stunning views of the city and, of course, of Ararat. It's just incredibly beautiful at sunset. The staircase is the highest, but there is an escalator inside the Cascade, and there are exhibits of modern art inside.
A wonderful place, the best and most atmospheric in all of Yerevan! There are many cool cafes very close by, just what you need after a hard climb. I would also like to mention the views from the top of the cascade, they are simply amazing! I recommend it to everyone who goes to Yerevan!
The original location, however, is not completely ready, the upper part near the obelisk is not quite ready yet. It's a bit hard to climb the stairs, but for the weak there is an escalator inside. Interesting lighting in the evening
Cascade is beautiful , cozy , crowded . There are many tourists, many cafes, and a museum - Professor Abrahamyan's private collection of Russian fine art...
Nice place! Cool interesting sculptures, in the park below and all over the cascade! The view from above is amazing both day and evening! On the left side of the cascade inside, there is an escalator, open until 8 pm. The rest of the time you can walk up!
This is a magnificent place, with beautiful views and colorful sculptures that delight the eye and imagination. I personally like this place. It is a completely pedestrian zone with beautiful delicious restaurants, and if you get to the top, you will have a magnificent view of Yerevan. At night, a separate beauty ❤
A must-visit at dawn! Ararat in pink rays, warm stones and steps, incredible space! A must-visit in the evening - soft light, local flavor, modern art, there are museum rooms on each level, a lot of interesting people, a lot of beauty around))
An interesting place, lots of people. In the lower part, everything is well-maintained, an interesting space for walking, and a beautiful view of the city center opens. The upper tiers have not been completed yet and the construction is frozen. I hope the plan will be implemented
A great place to visit, even to take a picture, even to meditate. At any time of the day, morning, afternoon and evening, the view from the Cascade to Yerevan is divine)))
It's a very beautiful place. You definitely need to visit here. There is an escalator inside, for those who cannot climb the steps. The whole of Yerevan and Ararat are visible from above.
