It is a very beautiful and pleasant place for walking. There are a lot of different cafes and restaurants near the cascade, and there is an observation deck at the top, which offers a magnificent view of the city and, if you are lucky, of Ararat.
It's very beautiful Stunning pieces of sculpture are found at the foot of the cascade! And the view from the top step is magical! It's great that there's an escalator as an alternative way to get up. It is very comfortable for older people and for parents with children. 🫶🏻
Very nice view of Yerevan and Ararat, if you're lucky) it's nice to walk up the steps, there are benches for relaxing, you can place it anywhere and enjoy the pitchfork for a long time. There is an exhibition gallery inside, which is convenient to view by riding the escalator.
I definitely recommend you to visit. I was at the cascade in the evening in the river of November. It is clear that there are no greenery and few guests. There are many beautiful and interesting sculptures, gorgeous views of the city and Mount Ararat (visible only in the morning and evening, the rest of the time in a haze). I went up the stairs, although there seems to be an escalator in the galleries. I am attaching a photo.
One of the key attractions of Yerevan, which is an architectural complex consisting of 5 cascades-terraces, which connects the central district of Kentron with the Kanaker-Zeytun district. The Cascade is also an open-air exhibition space where local architects share their ideas, embodied in works of art. And if you reach the highest point (the upper part is unfinished), then in good weather you can see Ararat.
By the way, the number of steps of the Cascade is 572 steps, descending from which you can enjoy local cuisine and delicious wine in one of the many establishments located at the foot of the Cascade.
A great place to relax, for a walk, for a photo shoot. It is an architecturally monumental complex. There are many cafes and restaurants for every taste. Very beautiful flower beds, fountains, sculptures.
A great place for walking and fitness - 740 steps after all. But there is also an escalator. Amazing view of the city. In good weather, you can see Ararat. There are many different unusual sculptures, beautiful flower beds, fountains. There are many cafes and restaurants around
One of the main attractions of Yerevan.
From the top point in clear weather (more often in the early morning or at sunset)
It offers a wonderful view of Mount Ararat.
The complex is not fully completed. The fifth (upper) terrace is expected to be built in 2025.
Inside there is a gallery of modern art.
Escalators located inside the building are provided for easier access to the upper terraces.
In the night lights, the cascade looks especially fascinating.
I saw the structure from the windows of the University, not yet knowing that it was a Cascade, but I was already amazed by its grandiose size.
From the foot it looks even more impressive. You can get involved in a challenge and climb all five hundred steps on foot. And for gifted Yerevan residents and not very physically prepared guests, there are escalators inside the complex.
Below, at the foot of the square with sculptures. There are exhibits in the gallery with escalators, too, so in any case, you should not miss it.
The cascade itself is currently (January 2025) being cut off by a large excavation and repair work at the level of 500+ steps, it does not reach its highest point. But even from this height there is a beautiful view of the city.
It is recommended to visit.
It is very beautiful, the cascade is large, tourists can climb, but there are disadvantages: it is unfinished, the fountains are not always turned on in the summer, I went up 10 times and did not see them turned on many times, but the park is basically quite beautiful, unusual sculptures, quiet, there is a good exhibition inside, of course not a museum, but quite pleasant to the eyes
I recently visited the Cascade in Yerevan, and it was an amazing experience! This architectural work of art not only attracts with its majestic view, but also offers incredible opportunities for walking and enjoying the atmosphere of the city.
Climbing the steps of the Cascade is not just a physical activity, but a real excursion. At each level, new panoramas of Yerevan and Ararat open up, which are simply fascinating. I especially remember the sunset view — the city is shrouded in soft light, and the mountains look especially majestic.
The cascade also pleases with a variety of sculptures and art objects that add uniqueness to this place. It's nice that there are always a lot of people here — both locals and tourists, which creates a special atmosphere of friendliness and fun.
I can't help but mention the cafes and restaurants located nearby — a great place to relax and enjoy delicious Armenian cuisine after a long walk.
In general, the Cascade is a must—visit point in Yerevan. I am sure that everyone will find something for themselves here!
The main attraction in the center of Yerevan. It is located in the very center of the city. From the highest point there is a beautiful view of the city and, if you are lucky with the weather, of Ararat. It is possible not to walk to the top, but to use the cascade of escalators.
A beautiful building with five floors. On each floor, the drawings on the lawns and their individual architectural features are cut differently. There is also an escalator that runs from 8 to 20 and you can climb the Cascade through it. The view from the Cascade is beautiful, the city and other attractions are visible. At night, this view is even more beautiful and atmospheric. I advise absolutely everyone to visit this place. It's worth it.
A grandiose architectural structure with a park at the foot. You can climb to the top using escalators. It is better to go down the steps, looking at fountains with unusual sculptures, flower beds and the city from a height.
This is the coolest attraction in Yerevan! It is necessary to climb all the way to the top. The lower four levels are completed, there is an escalator and museums inside. It is better to visit this location early in the morning. It is getting dark in Yerevan quite abruptly. There are gorgeous fountains in the summer. Unfortunately, a certain part of the monument has not yet been completed. The monument is adjacent to a gorgeous park with original sculptures. Plan 2 hours to explore this monument. The fountains are unique and have a beautiful ornament around them.
Amazingly, after comfortably moving on the escalator, you can enjoy the magnificent views of the city without shortness of breath. Cities with their own history. Certainly beautiful and original.
The Cascade in Yerevan is an amazing place where modern art, cultural heritage and picturesque views of the city are combined in a perfect combination. Visiting this unique complex, I felt incredibly inspired by the beautiful sculptures, interesting exhibitions and cozy cafes overlooking the mountains. Every corner of the Cascade is permeated with an atmosphere of creativity and beauty, which makes it an ideal place for walks, photo shoots and spiritual meetings. Thanks to such places, Yerevan becomes even more attractive for tourists and residents of the city. I recommend everyone to get acquainted with this amazing place and enjoy its unique atmosphere!
A gorgeous walk from the Opera House up to the Cascade, especially if you guess right and get to the top by sunset, you can admire Ararat, evening Yerevan and in general the Cascade is very beautifully illuminated along with the park from below.
By the way, you can take the escalator in the closed gallery, where there is also something to see !!
In general, this Cascade was pleasantly pleased.
One of the main attractions of Yerevan. Every self-respecting tourist will definitely go upstairs and enjoy the views of the city and Ararat. And if you're lucky, you can witness Armenian national dances (often all kinds of performances are performed on the cascade), or even a real Armenian wedding. Thank you Yerevan for such a warm welcome! 🇦🇲👍
An interesting place, in the very center of Yerevan.
From the top, you can see the whole of Yerevan and Mount Ararat.
A good place for photo shoots.
Inside the cascade there is an exhibition and an escalator for those who do not want to walk up the steps.
Very beautiful. Unusual sculptures, a monument to Tamanyan, a cafe where delicious and quick food is prepared, the smell of coffee and music. It's like this every night! Yerevan, you are in my heart now!
I really love this place. It's always clean and tidy. In good weather, there is a beautiful view of Mount Ararat and Yerevan. There are a lot of cafes nearby where you can have a snack.
A great place, a very beautiful and interesting complex. The views are amazing and there is a lot of interesting things inside. I advise everyone who is in the city for the first time to definitely visit it. ❤️
I really liked it. The cascade continues the traditions of Soviet grand style architecture. Well located, convenient to visit, there are escalators. But there is still something to work on.
A good view of the city from above - advice: it's better to go down than up)) Beautifully decorated with greenery. Clear. There is a fountain and a recreation area on each level. Inside there is a museum of modern art and escalators. It is convenient that you can go outside and cool down in an air-conditioned room + do not go up / down on foot)) There is also an exhibition of various modern sculptures downstairs.
The staircase is beautiful, the view from the height is amazing, and it's good that there are escalators, they are on the left side, inside there are various compositions, very beautiful. I recommend you to visit!
Every time I arrive in Yerevan, one of the first places that I definitely visit is the Cascade. This amazing place has become a real find for me and a symbol of the city.
The cascade is not just a staircase, it is a real architectural ensemble that impresses with its beauty and scale. On the way up, there are breathtaking views of Yerevan and the majestic Mount Ararat. Every time I climb the steps, I admire again how this project harmoniously fits into the urban landscape.
The cascade is filled with fountains, sculptures and green spaces, creating an atmosphere of comfort and tranquility. Here you can not only enjoy the beauty of nature, but also see many art installations that make this place even more attractive.
I hope that the Cascade will be fully completed soon. Its completion will add even more significance to this wonderful place and open up new horizons for visitors.
In general, the Cascade is a must—visit place for everyone who comes to Yerevan. I always leave there with a feeling of inspiration and joy. I recommend it to anyone who wants to plunge into the atmosphere of this beautiful city!
Only after overcoming 567 steps and turning back to the city can you see all the beauty of the city of Yerevan!
Very convenient stairs for climbing, five terraces for rest and respite. You get up and admire the flowers, fountains, sculptures. Beauty! I can imagine how beautiful it is in the evening, when all this is illuminated with different colors of lanterns.
When you get up, especially on a clear day, you can see Ararat in all its glory!
To be honest, we didn't know there was an escalator, we went down the cascade on it)
In a word, it is the heart of Yerevan, offering the best views of the entire city and the surrounding hills! The best place for gatherings is a photo shoot, where concerts and festive events are held from time to time.
The place is beautiful, worth a visit.
There are 572 steps in total, 5 terraces, the 6th flight is unfinished, 450 m from the base.
At first, the idea of the project originated with the Soviet architect Alexander Hovhannesovich Tamanyan (1878-1936), a monument to him was erected at the base of the cascade.
There are escalators between the terraces. There are statues on each terrace, and the opportunity to relax.
It was originally planned to be built in the 1920s, but construction of the cascade began in 1971 and was partially completed in 1980. After the earthquake, the construction was restored in 2003 at the expense of philanthropist Gafeschan.
A must-see place. There are very beautiful views and many walking streets with interesting cafes nearby. It is located in the center, it is convenient to get there
The place is a must-visit!
If you are going to walk rather than take the escalator, then you need to prepare for a fairly energy-intensive climb: being at the bottom, you do not fully understand how high you have to climb. However, the breathtaking view of Ararat and Yerevan from above is definitely worth the effort. In addition, along the way, at different levels, you can see interesting sculptural compositions. If you get tired, there is a place to sit down and relax on all levels.
A beautiful place of attraction for citizens and tourists. There are funny sculptures below. The cascade is beautiful. The view of the city is gorgeous. There are escalators inside (which is super convenient). And inside, too, everything is beautifully decorated. I will wait for it to be completed completely (work was suspended back in the 80s).
Cascade is one of the wonderful places in Yerevan. There are very nice cafes at the foot. They're all good, I checked. You can walk up, but I took the escalator. Next to him in the lifting gallery are magnificent designer statues and various art objects. You drive and admire. And above there are wonderful playgrounds with flowers and fountains. But the main thing is the view of Ararat! It is beautiful at any time of the day. There you can feel the strongest energy of this holy mountain and Yerevan, which is located below.
The Cascade is one of the sights of the city of Yerevan. Visited both during the day and at night. These are five outdoor terraces connected by stairs, where you can relax and admire the views of the city. The interior is equipped with an escalator, which allows you to go up, and only then go down on foot. Since we were in December, there was no greenery, Mount Ararat was in a haze during the day, but in the evening we saw it. Pleasantly surprised by the sculptors and art objects in the mini park in front of the Cascade. There are many cafes, bars, music is playing, I recommend you to visit.
It's a great idea, but it's not finished yet. You can walk up the stairs to the top, or you can take the escalator, which is located on the left side. There is a very unusual chandelier at the entrance, as if one person is sitting on top of another. There are unusual exclusive items between the floors. There is no way to climb to the top, the building is not completed, the escalators go nowhere, which is a pity. There is a path on the side of the construction site, across the street, the climb is heavy. We didn't go up, but decided to call a taxi next time, drove to the stele and went down from top to bottom and looked at the whole city.
An interesting place to visit in Yerevan. The upper part is under reconstruction - we got there from the other side on an excursion. We didn't see a beautiful view of the whole of Yerevan - Ararat from the foresters. There are many different strange sculptures in the park at the foot - modern art objects)
Be sure to visit, if you are in Yerevan, a very beautiful place, even in cloudy weather you liked it, but it's better to go when it gets dark, a beautiful view of the night city.
Beautiful and stylish. You can also do some great cardio by climbing the stairs a couple of times to the top. As a bonus: an observation deck with a view of the city. It's more beautiful in the evening
A very beautiful place! I recommend it to all guests of the city. There is a stunning view from above. If the fountains are also working in the summer, then it must be incredibly beautiful
Very cool. Especially going down.there are more pros than cons. I'll start with the advantages: beautifully made, with a good view of Ararat from above. Cons: not completed, fountains are not working
Having visited there for the first time and seen Ararat from the top steps, you come there as often as possible to enjoy the view of the city, the noise of fountains, the view of sculptures and the boiling life around. While nearby, at the foot, people are running somewhere, drinking coffee in a huge number of cafes and restaurants, just looking around and enjoying life.
If you haven't seen the sunset and sunrise from the Cascade, the world has something to surprise you with.
For those who find it difficult or difficult to climb up on their own, there are escalators on the left side inside, along which works of Armenian art are presented.
It's a beautiful place. The view from the top is cool on the mountains, but there's nothing to catch the eye on the city! The city is gray-orange, nondescript. There are 700 steps to climb (if I counted correctly 🤭). I was also surprised that there are drinking fountains almost everywhere in the city, but in the place where it is necessary, there is only one, at the entrance to the park!
I advise everyone to visit, it's worth it.
A great place to walk and just relax! The museum is under the covered sky! There are a lot of cafes around for every taste. It's great to spend time here both in the afternoon and in the evening. The view from the Cascade is beautiful at any time. But personally, in the evening, especially, I like to take a coffee and savor the rhythm and flavor of this city... mmm
The place is certainly beautiful and interesting, but we were very impressed by the sculptures placed along this path. I wonder who came up with the idea to install sculptures of naked men and women in a park where almost everyone walks with children? I had to distract the attention of the children, who were shocked by what they saw. It was like being in Holland. But this is the norm there, but for the Armenian people it is at least wild. At least these wonderful sculptures of modern art were dressed in underpants.
A great place , a very Cool idea , it's a pity that the construction is not finished and frozen , but 90 percent of it functions perfectly, there is an escalator inside to the top, a lot of interesting exhibits and exhibitions, you will occupy yourself for half a day for sure. By the way, visiting all the exhibitions inside is free! And there are a lot of different cafes and restaurants downstairs.
A beautiful place
One of the places where you can see Ararat perfectly, if you're lucky))
The whole beautiful Yerevan is also perfectly visible.
And most importantly.
Bingo
There's an escalator up on the left.
A great place for tourists. Beautiful view of the city center from above. There are a lot of cafes nearby, a pleasant atmosphere. The only negative is that everyone around smokes and they like it exactly whether you like it or not, with children or alone. This is considered the norm here.
The view is simply amazing! I was with my daughter and liked everything. We have counted all the steps of the monumental building. It's a pity that the fountains were under restoration.
