It is a very beautiful and pleasant place for walking. There are a lot of different cafes and restaurants near the cascade, and there is an observation deck at the top, which offers a magnificent view of the city and, if you are lucky, of Ararat.

I definitely recommend you to visit. I was at the cascade in the evening in the river of November. It is clear that there are no greenery and few guests.There are many beautiful and interesting sculptures, gorgeous views of the city and Mount Ararat (visible only in the morning and evening, the rest of the time in a haze). I went up the stairs, although there seems to be an escalator in the galleries. I am attaching a photo.

One of the key attractions of Yerevan, which is an architectural complex consisting of 5 cascades-terraces, which connects the central district of Kentron with the Kanaker-Zeytun district. The Cascade is also an open-air exhibition space where local architects share their ideas, embodied in works of art. And if you reach the highest point (the upper part is unfinished), then in good weather you can see Ararat.

I saw the structure from the windows of the University, not yet knowing that it was a Cascade, but I was already amazed by its grandiose size.
From the foot it looks even more impressive. You can get involved in a challenge and climb all five hundred steps on foot. And for gifted Yerevan residents and not very physically prepared guests, there are escalators inside the complex.
Below, at the foot of the square with sculptures. There are exhibits in the gallery with escalators, too, so in any case, you should not miss it.
The cascade itself is currently (January 2025) being cut off by a large excavation and repair work at the level of 500+ steps, it does not reach its highest point. But even from this height there is a beautiful view of the city.
It is recommended to visit.

I recently visited the Cascade in Yerevan, and it was an amazing experience! This architectural work of art not only attracts with its majestic view, but also offers incredible opportunities for walking and enjoying the atmosphere of the city.
Climbing the steps of the Cascade is not just a physical activity, but a real excursion. At each level, new panoramas of Yerevan and Ararat open up, which are simply fascinating. I especially remember the sunset view — the city is shrouded in soft light, and the mountains look especially majestic.
The cascade also pleases with a variety of sculptures and art objects that add uniqueness to this place. It's nice that there are always a lot of people here — both locals and tourists, which creates a special atmosphere of friendliness and fun.
I can't help but mention the cafes and restaurants located nearby — a great place to relax and enjoy delicious Armenian cuisine after a long walk.

A beautiful building with five floors. On each floor, the drawings on the lawns and their individual architectural features are cut differently. There is also an escalator that runs from 8 to 20 and you can climb the Cascade through it. The view from the Cascade is beautiful, the city and other attractions are visible. This is the coolest attraction in Yerevan! It is necessary to climb all the way to the top. The lower four levels are completed, there is an escalator and museums inside. It is better to visit this location early in the morning. It is getting dark in Yerevan quite abruptly. There are gorgeous fountains in the summer. Unfortunately, a certain part of the monument has not yet been completed. The monument is adjacent to a gorgeous park with original sculptures. Plan 2 hours to explore this monument. The fountains are unique and have a beautiful ornament around them.

A gorgeous walk from the Opera House up to the Cascade, especially if you guess right and get to the top by sunset, you can admire Ararat, evening Yerevan and in general the Cascade is very beautifully illuminated along with the park from below.
By the way, you can take the escalator in the closed gallery, where there is also something to see !!

Every time I arrive in Yerevan, one of the first places that I definitely visit is the Cascade. This amazing place has become a real find for me and a symbol of the city.
The cascade is not just a staircase, it is a real architectural ensemble that impresses with its beauty and scale. On the way up, there are breathtaking views of Yerevan and the majestic Mount Ararat. Every time I climb the steps, I admire again how this project harmoniously fits into the urban landscape.

Only after overcoming 567 steps and turning back to the city can you see all the beauty of the city of Yerevan!
Very convenient stairs for climbing, five terraces for rest and respite. You get up and admire the flowers, fountains, sculptures. Beauty! I can imagine how beautiful it is in the evening, when all this is illuminated with different colors of lanterns.
When you get up, especially on a clear day, you can see Ararat in all its glory!

The place is beautiful, worth a visit.
There are 572 steps in total, 5 terraces, the 6th flight is unfinished, 450 m from the base.
At first, the idea of the project originated with the Soviet architect Alexander Hovhannesovich Tamanyan (1878-1936), a monument to him was erected at the base of the cascade.
There are escalators between the terraces. There are statues on each terrace, and the opportunity to relax.
It was originally planned to be built in the 1920s, but construction of the cascade began in 1971 and was partially completed in 1980. After the earthquake, the construction was restored in 2003 at the expense of philanthropist Gafeschan.

Cascade is one of the wonderful places in Yerevan. There are very nice cafes at the foot. They're all good, I checked. You can walk up, but I took the escalator. Next to him in the lifting gallery are magnificent designer statues and various art objects. You drive and admire. And above there are wonderful playgrounds with flowers and fountains. These are five outdoor terraces connected by stairs, where you can relax and admire the views of the city. The interior is equipped with an escalator, which allows you to go up, and only then go down on foot. Since we were in December, there was no greenery, Mount Ararat was in a haze during the day, but in the evening we saw it. Pleasantly surprised by the sculptors and art objects in the mini park in front of the Cascade. There are many cafes, bars, music is playing, I recommend you to visit.

It's a great idea, but it's not finished yet. You can walk up the stairs to the top, or you can take the escalator, which is located on the left side. There is a very unusual chandelier at the entrance, as if one person is sitting on top of another. There are unusual exclusive items between the floors. There is no way to climb to the top, the building is not completed, the escalators go nowhere, which is a pity. There is a path on the side of the construction site, across the street, the climb is heavy. We didn't go up, but decided to call a taxi next time, drove to the stele and went down from top to bottom and looked at the whole city.

It's a beautiful place. The view from the top is cool on the mountains, but there's nothing to catch the eye on the city! The city is gray-orange, nondescript. There are 700 steps to climb (if I counted correctly 🤭). The place is certainly beautiful and interesting, but we were very impressed by the sculptures placed along this path. I wonder who came up with the idea to install sculptures of naked men and women in a park where almost everyone walks with children? I had to distract the attention of the children, who were shocked by what they saw. It was like being in Holland. But this is the norm there, but for the Armenian people it is at least wild. At least these wonderful sculptures of modern art were dressed in underpants.

A great place , a very Cool idea , it's a pity that the construction is not finished and frozen , but 90 percent of it functions perfectly, there is an escalator inside to the top, a lot of interesting exhibits and exhibitions, you will occupy yourself for half a day for sure.
