We stayed at this hotel in early September and were very satisfied! The price- quality ratio is five🖐🏽
Of the advantages:
1. Close location to the sea and relatively remote from the bustling promenade, where bars and hotels are located. The journey takes 3 minutes: when leaving the hotel, cross the road, turn left, there will be a vacant lot to the right, through which you pass and get straight to the embankment.
2. Excellent location to the largest supermarket - Migros, McDonald's and other souvenir shops. I would like to mention separately Karen Market (this is a store at the hotel, located on the ground floor), where friendly sellers work, you can bargain) even without trading, the prices are adequate, we were at the market and compared prices. For example, there were different prices for the same mugs, and it was cheaper in the Karen Market!
3. Not very varied, but acceptable food at the hotel. For breakfast, scrambled eggs, omelets, vegetables, cereals and several types of jam, similar to Turkish nutella. The lunches and dinners were hearty, there was fish, chicken, pork several times. A separate love of the cook is French fries😂 5 types of olives. The food is without frills, but in 10 days we have never gone hungry. We were pleasantly surprised by the afternoon tea, where they brought out awesome cakes) The puff was not very good, the pizza was three)
4. Wi-Fi works well throughout the hotel. It worked best on the ground floor and by the pool, but even from the room there was an opportunity to communicate by video. Considering that in many hotels the Internet service is paid, and here you get a good connection for free, then there is no price for this hotel. 5
. Room cleaning for 5+. They took out the trash every day, and changed the towels every other day. The bed linen was changed two or three times. Separately, I would like to highlight the new orthopedic mattresses. We moved the beds together, and were pleasantly surprised when we took off the sheets and saw clean, fresh mattresses.Several times the maid showed creativity and made us figures out of underwear
Minuses:
1. The number of rooms. I do not see any point in complaining that the room is not equipped with new and modern furniture, because you need to understand that this is a category 3 hotel and it is not worth a million dollars. But one moment upset us as soon as we crossed the threshold of the room - it was the powerful smell of cigarettes. It immediately became clear that before us, people lived in the room who smoked right in the room, I'll even say more: we had an ashtray in our room, which the maid updated (took from the balcony) and put on the bedside table in the room! That is, smoking on the balcony is not OK within the framework of this hotel, it is better to smoke in bed😂🗿 In addition, another anomaly of the room was the lack of outlets. Only one outlet per room! We spent the whole vacation translating this into humor, looking for sockets, at least a second one, but alas) Someone had to get up at 5 a.m., put another phone on charge. About the rest of the devices- two ICOs, two headphones and a speaker were charging small when we were in the room.
2. The lack of entertainment (and, accordingly, children in the hotel) was a plus for us, therefore, the hotel can be called 16/18+, but the music on the bar, which screams like crazy every day 24/7, is a nightmare. Moreover, it is the same every day-Russian pop and old Turkish songs. It doesn't bother you for the first three days, but then it frankly freezes you out. I had an attempt to ask the Emre administrator to turn on any other music, but I was refused without explanation. The next day, I approached Emra with a simple idea to make it at least quieter, because my friend next to me is absolutely not audible: no! And only from the third time (the next day) he deigned to turn down the volume, making the most dissatisfied face.
3. Cleaning the dishes during breakfast/lunch/dinner. It goes from one extreme to the other. You can come to dinner and not find clean tables without dirty dishes (outside all the time). As a result, sit down at a dirty table, spend the whole evening surrounded by dirty plates. And only at the end of the dinner, everyone is blown up and the dishes are taken away. They try to clean everything up to such an extent that they literally take your plate from under your nose (there is still food in the plate, relevant 😂), a filled glass almost out of your hands. By the way, the staff hardly speaks English, so the phrase "not finish" is useless, everyone continues to take away the plates.
In summary, I would like to say that I would come to this hotel again. Karen, thanks for the top vacation!❤
We stayed at this hotel with our family. The location of the hotel is not bad. Special thanks to the hotel staff, namely the cook Tekin Koch. This is a separate cell of this hotel. The food was always served fresh, the assortment is good, the dishes are quite balanced, the feeling that the cook cares not only about the taste but also about the calorie content of the food, just in moderation, and delicious. A huge plus for the smile and personal presence at each meal, which created an atmosphere of care and comfort. But apparently the owner of the hotel is quite stingy, which was reflected in the general condition of the hotel and the number of staff. Since there were a lot of guests, all the rooms are occupied, and sometimes it is impossible for such a number of people to do all the work on time. Considering that gentlemen vacationers rest and do not always take care of the culture of their behavior. We will be happy to go to this hotel again if the staff is the same and the owner is more generous. But... And special thanks to Rasim, which is located opposite the hotel. The guy is smart 👍 helps the guests , the excursions are super and much much cheaper than the tour operator 👍. A very nice guy, a native of Russia.
Seven wonderful nights on the coast of the warm sea flew by quickly, but they were remembered for a long time. The hotel is simple but clean. There is a small swimming pool on the territory, 150 meters from the sea, and although there is no beach of its own, there were no special problems with sun beds. The food at the hotel is modest, but quite varied, alcohol is local, but not bad, Efes beer. From entertainment, walks by the sea, trips to neighboring beaches (Icmeler, Turunch)
Excellent 3* hotel.
- The room is clean and cozy. The maids cleaned every day, very efficiently, even without tips.
- The hotel Internet catches only in the common corridor, at the reception and near the pool.
- Meals are served four times a day. A meal lasts from an hour to two. The food is not very diverse, but the food is decent: I especially liked French fries and fried fish (there are also options for vegetarians: a lot of salads, steamed vegetables are often cooked). There is always a lot of food and it is replenished from time to time. There are delicious sweets for afternoon tea, but they are disassembled very quickly.
- Delicious coffee from the coffee machine and strong tea in teapots.
- All inclusive includes locally produced alcohol: wine (pink, white, red), gin, vodka, whiskey, Efes beer. Alcohol is mediocre, but together with soda you get good cocktails. I liked the beer.
- I would like to note separately the friendliness of the staff. The waiters learn Russian words and actively communicate with the residents. The owner of the hotel is a very nice person, although he speaks only Turkish. He helped us find an engagement ring, and then he went around making fun of us :). I showed memes in Russian on my phone))
- A dog and a cat live in the hotel)
We just returned on 31.08 from Karen Hotel. The hotel is great for 3*. Yes, the food is not luxury, but you can eat, you will not stay hungry) The location is great, the beaches are nearby , the boardwalk too. All shops are within walking distance. We had dances every night. Friendly staff! What else is missing for a 3* hotel) The only thing that was really missing was the shower by the pool, but the owner said that he was going to put it on in the near future. So overall, we liked everything! Sasha Fromrasha is highly recommended for excursions. Be to the right of Migros. Everything is on the case, and the most interesting excursions and prices.
A great hotel for your money. The staff is friendly. The rooms are nice and quite cozy. The food is delicious, quite a diverse selection, I was pleased with the large number of vegetables, cheese and olives. The coffee in the restaurant is very delicious!
There is a small swimming pool with sun loungers near the hotel. The location is excellent, a couple of minutes walk to the embankment, there are two large supermarkets nearby.
Of the minuses, there are small details: one free outlet per room, dim room lighting and a loudly closing door to the bathroom.
Separately, we would like to mention the wonderful man Rasim, from whom you can sign up for excursions! Its point is located directly opposite the hotel. Rasim is a very pleasant and responsive young man, he has provided excellent advice in all areas. We took an evening excursion to Pamukkale and an evening vip tour of the Aegean Islands, these options were slightly more expensive than the morning ones, but they were worth it! It was much more comfortable to be on excursions without the heat and there were much fewer people in the evening. The organization was on top, we got a lot of emotions! Everything is thought out, comfortable, without unnecessary imposition of purchases and tastings. Thank you very much for a well-organized vacation!
Meals
4 times a day:
Breakfast is quite meager, but acceptable; lunch and dinner are quite varied for 3* (but fish was only 1 time, desserts and watermelon/melon only for dinner); afternoon sweets are very tasty. The food is always replenished, you can even come at the end. Tables can be dirty, cutlery and glasses are stained, but it is acceptable for 3*. There is a coffee machine and delicious tea.
Bar
Water and other drinks are only available until 22, juices are disgusting, the rest of the drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) are normal. There is a paid bar.
Service
They settled in very quickly. The rooms were cleaned daily, as well as towels were changed.
Rooms
There is only 1 outlet, a comfortable bed, good air conditioning, the room is slightly shabby. The bathroom is in the best condition, everything is working properly. The in-room safe is chargeable.
Staff
All the staff are very polite, almost everyone understands Russian and everyone speaks English. One of the managers of the hotel personally helped to find the ring lost in the pool.
Location
The sea is 3 minutes away through the territory of an undeveloped hotel or 6 minutes by road. Nearby, music is playing loudly in one of the hotels until 23.
Rest
Overall, the hotel left a positive impression. I would love to come back again. Unfortunately, smoking is allowed on site, which is generally common in the country. Excellent combination of price and quality.
A great three for your money!
We rested for a week in October at the beginning of the velvet season. The rooms are clean with a cozy balcony. They cleaned every day, towels were changed once a week. There was a Wi-Fi in the room, but it periodically fell off. And in the lobby, it's generally perfect. The safe is chargeable, but we did not use it. The room is old, with minor flaws (such as a burnt-out light bulb), but everything you need is there: air conditioning, hot water in the shower, places to dry swimsuits, hair dryer, etc. By the way, there are excellent semi-hard mattresses on the bed!
We liked the food. It turns out that each time there were two main, often meat dishes and a whole table of snacks. The snacks didn't change much. I ate a lot of vegetables and salad. The fish was once and gathered in the dining room of all the Turkish cats) In general, you will not stay hungry here. The only problem is almost everything with onions. With plenty of onions. It was normal for me, but if you are not an amateur, it will be hard for you. Local alcohol is free at the hotel, imported alcohol is paid. These are two different bars. I didn't like the local wine, but the beer went in.
The main disadvantage of the hotel is poor sound insulation. And next to us was the hotel five with the most frenzied animation that I've heard. And we heard it every evening from 8 to 11. So you can't go to bed early to go to the sea in the morning.
This hotel is not designed for children at all. It has no territory or animation. Instead, you are taken to the bar street of Marmaris every night for free.
The beach is five minutes from the hotel, if you go to the left. The whole beach is filled with sun beds and umbrellas from hotels and restaurants. You will not be allowed to go to individual beaches, and on the beach belonging to restaurants you can take a sunbed for buying a drink. The cheapest option is water for 50 lire (in the supermarket it costs 15). It will be more expensive in euros and dollars. The best time to swim is from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. There is almost no one on the beach until 11. From 12 to 15 it was the hottest. And at about 18.00 the beach closes.
The singing fountains, the old town and the fortress can be reached in about 35-40 minutes along the embankment from the hotel. There is a travel agency with a Russian-speaking owner opposite the hotel. Its prices are absolutely the same as everywhere else, but cheaper than from an official tour operator.
A good three-star hotel is very decent, clean and beautiful. The staff will help with any issue, the pool is not big, but there was enough for everyone, there is no beach, but for buying water or beer on the beach, the sunbed is yours. The food for the three is good. The only fruit we had was watermelon.
A great hotel for your money. Delicious food, the assortment is not huge, but you will definitely not be hungry. Excellent staff. Excellent location: close to the sea and shops. There is a small swimming pool, and in the heat you can reconnect. The only thing that bothered us a little was that they cleaned 2 times in 7 days. Russian russians are not dirty, but you can clean up the garbage more often) we were lucky, at the time of our stay there were a lot of Russian couples, we had a great party, they allowed us to play Russian music.
Everything was fine. Everything is great for a three-star hotel. Close to the sea-literally 5-7 minutes walk.We were fed 4 times. The buffet. Of course there are no delicacies, but the food is varied. The staff is friendly and friendly. The rooms are cozy. The air conditioner is working. There is no private beach with sun loungers. There are 2 swimming pools: adult and children's. But we liked swimming in the sea more. Excursions can be purchased from Rasim. He is from Kazakhstan. He speaks excellent Russian. His office is opposite the hotel. There are almost no disadvantages. We did not regret that we chose to stay at this hotel.
The first time my husband and I were abroad, we took trips to this hotel. And they didn't regret it. If you don't know English, it will be difficult at first, but then you quickly find a common language. The room is clean, the air conditioner is working,
There is a mini fridge, a hairdryer. The bed linen was changed every 2-3 days. Towels were updated every day - we went to the beach, took them with us, returned - there was a new set of towels in the room. The rooms are cleaned when there are no guests. In the room itself, minus one is visually damaged furniture. It was not critical for us. In other reviews, we read that there is no variety of food. I don't know, we overeated every day. Meals 4 times a day: breakfast from 7 to 10; lunch from 12.30 to 13.30; afternoon tea (tea with cakes) from 16.30 to 17.30; dinner from 19 to 21. The cook is a very charming person, friendly. You can write a review to him directly separately. And well, probably a minus (it was also not critical for us) - there is no beach of its own. Either for a fee from other nearby bars, or, like us, we found an empty piece of beach next to the boats. The hotel is also close to the main street, to public transport stops. Free alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks at the bar. Overall, we liked everything.
We had a rest at the end of July 2024. Well, what can I say? I will describe the pros and cons.
Pros: the rooms are normal, the furniture is tired, the beds are good, I slept comfortably, new plumbing. There is always hot water. There is a safe in the room, although it is paid. The air conditioner is working properly, there were no problems. The Internet is available throughout the hotel, including the rooms. The room was cleaned quite often, towels were changed a couple of times a week. It takes 2 minutes to get to the sea through the wasteland. I'd say it's practically the first line. The hotel has its own small swimming pool on the territory.
Cons: terrible nutrition. The only meat was chicken, which we saw only 2 times in a week. The rest of the days there were nuggets and semi-finished products that were impossible to eat. Tea with baklava was served for afternoon tea. There were no other sweets. However, over the past two days, cakes have appeared, which were already taken out in plates, cut into pieces. But there were few of them. Of the fruits, only watermelon, which was always for dinner. Rice and pasta are also not always, just like delicacies. But there are always French fries. The last few days they also gave canned fish. The only thing I liked was their mashed soup, coffee and tea. We were lucky, because for the first three days we ate on excursions, they were very tasty, even one of them had a buffet. And later we went to Migros (like our Magnet or Pyaterochka) and bought groceries there. Again, I'm not comparing food to a five-star hotel, but at least a few dishes are possible, but delicious. During the week, many tourists arrived and the food improved noticeably. It is a pity that for us it was only the last two days of our stay.
Now about the sea. The entire beach area has been purchased either by hotels or private owners. Only in the center there is a free city beach, but it takes about 50 minutes to walk to it. We got into the heat, so we stopped at the beach, which is across the street. It seems to belong to some kind of hotel. We paid 150 lire for two, cold drinks were brought to us and you can lie on the sun loungers as much as you want. Be sure to bring beach towels from home, as the hotel does not issue beach towels.
We took excursions from Rasim. His tour agency is located across the street from Karen. You can write a separate review about him. He is the most wonderful, honest, sympathetic and kind person. He speaks excellent Russian. In a week, he became practically our family. He personally accompanies on excursions, carefully ensures that everything goes at the highest level. We were in the Aegean Islands, in Dalaman, in Pamukal. If I go to Marmaris again, I will go on these excursions again and only through Rasim. When we were in Dalaman on Turtle Beach, our guide Dmitry really liked it. A professional with a capital letter.
Karen has another plus for me. There are no animations or entertainment. Quiet and peaceful. However, if you are accommodated in rooms with a view of the backyard (to other hotels), there will be no peace of mind until 23:30. Every day, the nearby hotel hosts such loud night entertainment that you can hear it even behind closed windows and doors. Therefore, if you like to go to bed early, ask for rooms with a view of the road.
I liked the evenings at Karen's pool with a glass of wine and dimmed lights. It is very beautiful and cozy. And the music is playing in a nearby hotel, but it's even romantic. The wine is free.
Overall, there are a lot of good impressions. If you don't think about the food, then the hotel is normal, very good for its three stars.
We flew to this hotel with a family with a small baby, All inclusive, pleasantly surprised by the service, bed linen is changed every day, you can always have a delicious meal, the most important thing is clean! I would like to mention Emre's manager separately for his help and prompt resolution of all issues. We went on an excursion from the Rasim guide, located opposite the hotel, I was impressed that he is honest, does not wind up prices, explains everything from a to z, we are glad to meet you and thank you for a wonderful stay! ☺☺☺
The hotel pulls on its 3 *, cozy, clean, calm. For not spoiled tourists by the service. Everything is decent. If there was a private beach, it would be great.
A good hotel, we had a rest at the end of August, we liked everything. The staff is friendly. Very tasty food, special thanks to the cook, although there is a small selection, but we were always full. The rooms have everything you need. The air conditioner always worked and so did the refrigerator. The beach is 5 minutes away from the wasteland. We bought an excursion on the beach and provided sun beds for the entire rest period free of charge. In front of the hotel, they bought a SIM card cheaper than anywhere else, it worked without complaints. Excursions are cheapest at Rasim's (opposite the hotel) and it is cheaper to rent a motorcycle from him, etc.
+ Location. 5 minutes to the sea, 20 minutes to the center on foot. The rooms are not bad, cleaning is done every day.
- Food. You won't stay hungry, but you won't get pleasure from eating either. Every day, French fries or pasta on the side with soy sausage, nuggets or chicken. There was a fish once.
If you spend a minimum of time at the hotel, then in general it's very good😌
We stayed with our family at this hotel from 14.05 to 25.05. The staff is friendly, we do not speak Turkish or English, but we found a common language)
The rooms are clean, cleaned on time, bed linen was changed 3 times in 11 nights, towels more often.
The hotel is 3 stars, but despite this, the choice of food was great, they were fed 4 times, everything was very tasty. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks from 11 to 22.
On the territory of the hotel, the adult pool is 140 cm deep and the children's pool is 35 cm, the water heats up very well during the day.
There were enough sun beds for everyone)
The sea is just around the corner.
In front of the hotel they sell tours to local attractions, the prices are adequate, the manager will tell you everything.
I recommend this hotel)
The hotel is good, but without frills. The location is great, the promenade and the beach are 5 minutes away, the shops are also 5 minutes away. You definitely won't stay hungry. There is a swimming pool, sun beds, and there is also a small pool for children. The staff is friendly. Very interesting retro elevator😁👑the view from the balcony is amazing!!!😍
Far from the center. The food is disgusting, but the afternoon snack is delicious buns. The room is clean, but smoky. The audibility is 100%. It's like they're standing next to each other and talking.Only the earplugs helped. On the day of the eviction, at 12 o'clock.I went to the bar, the bracelet was not cut off with scissors, but just tore off my hand, so there was a trace.disgusting and rude.I will definitely not return to this hotel
We had a rest in September 24th. Pros: the sea is nearby; no one cares about tourists, the reception is always empty; the rooms are normal, there is a lot of furniture, you can't hear the neighbors, they cleaned often, the safe is free, great WiFi everywhere; the pool is always sparsely populated. If you don't find fault, you can live. The cons are nutrition and everything around it. To say that it is bad is to say nothing! You will always be hungry. So you have to try very hard to mock the guests. And the vile chief always watched the harassment of guests with an important look.
I don't really care about the food, but in this hotel, eating is a form of humiliating people. Don't choose Karen if you have any self-respect. In the photo, dessert for afternoon tea. It's probably leftovers from a nearby hotel, piled up. Help yourself, dear Russians
Meal:Monotonous, average lousy type.
Number:shabby, cramped, 1 outlet for the whole room. We even had the lock of the entrance broken. But all the devices are working fine. You can't turn around on the balcony.
Music is playing very loudly from a nearby hotel, which made it difficult to fall asleep.
The staff is tired by the end of the season.
There is no entertainment for children at all.
In general, we were satisfied with the rest anyway
We took a burning tour from Anex. Taking into account the price-quality ratio, we put 5. The hotel is very clean. But it happened that glass glasses in the bar and mugs in the dining room were not perfectly washed, but beer was poured into disposable plastic cups, so it did not bother. Once I tried to pour beer into a plastic pepsi glass, but the bartender replaced it with a new
NUMBER. Number 101 - 2nd floor. (the balcony above the roof of the lobby bar) turned out to be in perfect condition, the sheets are new and snow-white. I can't say about cleaning, because we decided not to let outsiders in, we cleaned it ourselves. There were enough soap products, even their own were not useful. In fact, there is no special need to lather 3 times a day, just rinse off, because there is nowhere to catch dirt there.
Internet. I almost always caught it from our 101 room. There were frequent interruptions in the lobby with wi-fi. At first it was a little frustrating, but then we adapted. I immediately entered the passwords for the website and the lobby. Life hack – if one of you has a network and the other does not, then the first one turns off, and the second one should immediately turn on Wi-Fi.
meal. Initially, it was not at all joyful. We didn't have time for breakfast, there was no meat for lunch that day. The menu is almost consistently the same. We took: fries, rice, arugula, lettuce leaves, finely chopped tomatoes with lettuce and onions, hot couscous, beans, pickled bell peppers (finely chopped), cauliflower/broccoli.
A very fresh loaf, 2 delicious cheeses, cheese, soy sausage, boiled eggs or a wet omelet with sausage, and flakes and balls with milk (1 time in 7 days), coffee is not bad in the vending machine. Mashed soups don't smell or look very good, but they taste more or less. 1 time there were delicious potato sticks.
From "meat" 1 time a day for dinner: turkey, chicken with gravy, chicken legs, nuggets, mini pieces of beef with gravy and delicious beans.
More: fetaxa in a salad, hot peppers, onions, beets in vinegar, greens in kefir, imitation salad (potatoes, peas). Melon and watermelon – every dinner, there was enough for everyone. Cakes, cookies, Turkish desserts – they were inedible for me, but people really liked them.
If you like fries or rice with vegetables, then everything is normal for nutrition. The crisis has significantly affected the menu in hotels (((. Products in migrosses are very expensive! We bought only coffee and cheese with pepper at home for the promotion.
sea. We went to the place next to the Vegas bar. There are no sun beds and only ours appear.
excursions. Anex is 2 times more expensive!!! Do not listen to the guide that you will be deceived on the street. A blatant lie! When leaving the hotel across the street, there is an exchanger slightly to the left (more profitable than a bus guide) and a Russian-speaking RASIM who sells excursions. They even come to him from other hotels on the recommendation of tourists. We also borrowed bicycles and a tuk-tuk from him. PRICES FOR EXCURSIONS AND RENTAL OF TRANSPORT ARE NOTICEABLY CHEAPER THAN IN OTHER AGENCIES. Rasim is a very friendly and sincere young man. I am always glad to see our tourists and will be happy to answer any questions. At parting, he gave us a postcard in memory of him and Marmaris)).
AEGEAN ISLANDS (9.00-16.00) – an unforgettable experience! They were taken from the hotel and put on a 2-storey ship. Almost all Russians were on the ship (four quiet Turks and an English-speaking couple). We chose a place to lie under the awning. Beautiful music, beautiful views, drinks (non-alcoholic) and you feel like royalty. For lunch for free – chicken breast, pasta in tomato with spices, salad, loaf. Three types of juice, sweet soda in any quantity. Dorada was charged for 8 euros (cheaper than everywhere else). There were 4 stops with bathing for about 1 hour, a church with ribbons of wishes.
DALYAN (8.30-18.30) - photo with a blue crab, a walk on a huge lake, mud, mineral springs, turtle beach and swimming 1.5 hours.
A PIRATE PARTY ON A YACHT – we received it from Rasim for free with a package of purchased excursions. They were picked up by minibus. A mixed crowd: the British, Russians and a little bit of Turks. Only Russians danced. Bags are not checked at the entrance, you can bring your own alcohol. They gave us fries and pasta for free, but we were full.
The hotel itself is not bad
I can't say that the food is very diverse
Local alcoholic beverages
There is also a paid bar where imported drinks are served
But the best part was the excursions we took from Rasim, he speaks Russian from Kazakhstan.
He will always help and tell you
He helped us solve all the issues
All the excursions were at the highest level
So I advise you to contact him 10000%%%
Nice hotel. The interior is ordinary, no frills. The cuisine is not very diverse, but the food is delicious. The territory is small, there is a small swimming pool, there is a pool for small children. To the sea about seven minutes of a quiet walk. The rooms are normal, not crowded. Furniture is killed, there is Russian TV (two channels). Russian Russian is understood by the friendly staff and they speak a little Russian. For a 3* hotel, this hotel is not bad. I recommend
It's not All Inclusive!!!This is a hoax!Don't get fooled by left-handed 5-star reviews!
1) If you do sports or If you are a healthy man under 2 meters, then you will not be able to eat anything here! The basis of the menu is soy sausages, sausages of very questionable quality and nuggets. In two weeks, they gave fish for dinner 1 time and chicken 2 times.Side dishes include rice and French fries. There is no choice of hot dishes. It's one thing.A couple of plates with pickles that are impossible to eat, beetroot in vinegar and 1-2 salads that have been drained for a long time.Once every two days, they put a sliced tomato, with "pieces of wood" inside, apparently the cheapest thing that can be found.
If you like coffee, you can forget it.There is a nescafe-type machine with powdered coffee, disgusting in taste and color.Tea is brewed in two large kettles and tastes really good, BUT! sugar is served in cubes and each is individually packed in a piece of paper and ends for breakfast by 8 a.m.Everything that is more or less "editable" ends the same way by 8 a.m.That's why everyone runs to 7:30 in order to have time to eat at least something. For breakfast, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs and again soy in all kinds.Scrambled eggs are not cooked in principle, because the omelet gives a larger volume. As we did not ask, we were refused.
2) Dirt on plates, glasses, forks, etc.Everything is unwashed.Glasses and mugs with lipstick, with leftovers of drinks and food.Poisoning occurs periodically in this heat.We have passed, but I do not recommend going here with children. There have been cases of poisoning. We and the neighbors had diarrhea for a couple of days.Tablecloths are also always permanently dirty.Saving powders and funds is reflected in everything and everywhere.
3) You will not get any all-inclusive drinks if you do not run first when opening the bar.The beer ends in 3-4 hours in the afternoon. He's gone by evening.Kegs are in stock, but the owner saves money and cuts off beer very quickly on hot days. And, it seems, beer is Ephesus, but we could not find such a diluted beer on sale anywhere.A cheap drink that gives you a headache. After dinner, the bar also opens and after 1-2 hours, supposedly, everything ends!Wine, whiskey, etc., etc. The owner controls everything himself and gives the staff a command by SMS-we observed this every day.By the way, he can be seen in the dining room every day-he also eats with the guests, but pretends that he does not speak English and Russian so that no one can express their claims.
4)Juices and waters: This is a separate topic!!It is impossible to drink juices. It's not just powdered juices, it's apple-flavored water, and so on.It is diluted so much that you don't feel what kind of taste it is.There's nothing to say about Pepsi and fanta.
It is forbidden to pour water into bottles, because their store is located under the hotel and there you can buy a bottle of water in the room at a very high price. Those who pour water into the room WILL NOT WORK!If you want to drink in the room (and in the evening all the water devices are turned off), then you need to go and buy at their store.By the way, the water tastes bad.If you drink in the heat, you do not notice, but if there is a bottle of other water for comparison, then everything becomes clear.
After 21-22 hours, the device is covered with a greasy cloth, with a hint that it does not work.As a result, there is nowhere to drink.
5) At the beginning of dinner, you may not find a place to sit down because people are in a hurry to eat the best until it's over.People ate around the pool for 3-4 days.On the 5th day, the psychotic administrator (I will write about him separately) shouted at us and forced us to wait for seats or sit on sofas in the lobby, where it is impossible to eat because of low tables in a half-bent state.
6)CHECK-IN:
When we arrived, we were immediately refused a room with a double bed (separate beds for a couple???).The same psychotic administrator in tattoos aggressively replied that there were no such numbers. We resigned ourselves to this idea and went to eat for lunch and wait for check-in at 14:00.After lunch, the receptionist changed and rooms with a double bed (though 140cm) appeared. We were given this number. From that moment on, the administrator, who did not want to give out the number, began to sharpen his grudge against us.When we approached, everything immediately ended at the bar, etc. and so on. I would like to mention that when he checked in, he did not immediately realize that my wife and I had different surnames together and began to molest her.The wife showed that she was not alone and the administrator's smile immediately disappeared. He also comes up to lonely girls who come-they have been seen repeatedly.
We were given only one key from the room.Despite the fact that my wife and I signed up for various excursions, massages and were far from everywhere together, we were still refused (they speak English poorly and do not speak Russian at all, allegedly). As a result, we had to wait for each other in the lobby. In fact, this was done again out of economy, so that working air conditioners, charging devices, and lights would not be left during the day. It's an unpleasant moment, but even this is bearable.
7) the room for 3 stars is decent, but there are a few BUTS!
Apparently, the room was converted into one bed and the pass-through light switches remained in the middle, they had to be cut right into the bed. Therefore, putting your hand under the pillow, you accidentally flick the switches at night and the light turns on.
The refrigerator in the room did not work at all.We did not pay attention to this, because we only came to spend the night.
At night, periodically, the electricity goes out in the room (I don't know if in all of them) and the air conditioner stops working. So up to three times a night for 20-30 minutes.Very interesting attempts to save money.
I'm just silent about the concerts of neighboring hotels and the noise of the balcony doors.
The cleaning is normal, change of linen, towels, etc.Dirt on mirrors and plumbing is not cleaned, but it is tolerable.
The elevator is broken, small and problematic.
There is no Internet in the rooms-a dead room.Only in the lobby. The Internet is stable at least now.
Soap and shampoos are given out for one time, enough for a couple of days. Then they don't supplement it.I had to buy it.
The shower stalls are all dead. The rollers are broken (we talked with neighbors)
The balconies are spacious for 2 people, but there is no dryer. Some kind of squalid horns on which you can hang 1 piece of swimming trunks.
There are 1 pc of sockets in the room, 1 pc in the bathroom. This creates great difficulties because everyone comes with phones, gadgets, etc. There is not enough for charging.
The TV is normal.3-5 Russian channels.
Furniture is a horror.I'll try to take a photo.Scuffed, beaten, beaten, and so on.But it does not affect the sea vacation in any way.You can ignore it.
The air conditioner is positioned in such a way that it blows on you anyway. My nose is stuffy in the morning, but I can't do it without a condom.Otherwise, you'll suffocate at 40 degrees.
Bottom line: it's not 3 stars, it's a regular boardinghouse with food.Don't expect any "all inclusive".If you go to this hotel, then count on the new prices for 700-1200 dollars extra for a cafe, drink, eat (because after dinner you will stay hungry).
I am currently resting at this hotel. We settled in quickly, changed the linen in 5 days, cleaning daily is a plus. Of the minuses, the locals did not let them sleep for 2 nights, they celebrated the engagement until 3 am. Meals for 3, there are no waiters, the dishes are not cleaned, the bartender has to wait for 10-15 minutes. The furniture is old in the room. I would not recommend this hotel.
Subjectively! 1) As usual, the choice of the hotel, the ratio of reviews and prices. 2) I'm getting ahead of myself. Karen 10 nights 145 days. Nearby Blue Bay Platinum 5* the same dates 263tr. 3) About nutrition, either soy meat or chicken, once there was fish. Sparse? Yes. But it is quite tasty, and without extra weight gain. Local alcohol is not bad. Who wants a variety of food and ice cream after lunch....read point 2. 4) WI-FI, at the reception, WhatsApp calls, read the news, no problem, I caught it in our room 314. 5) The beach is free on the embankment to the left, 450 steps to the unfinished hotel, you will see without umbrellas and sun beds. But we found a good place, 490 steps to the right, between the paid beach and the jetty of a water taxi 15 meters long, the water is clean, small pebbles, photos 1-2 . 5) Excursions to Rasim (currency exchange, in general, will help everyone, will tell you everything), across the street from the hotel. We took Dalyan for $ 30 and the Aegean Islands for $ 33, when buying two excursions from Rasim, a bonus, a yacht trip along the bay of Marmaris at night. I am attaching a photo. P.S. Karen is a budget hotel, for your money. Do not compare Marmaris with Kemer, Side, etc., where for the same money, you can get a better vacation. Marmaris is aimed at Europeans, respectively, the prices are more expensive.I want variety in food, animation - see point 2!! The review is subjective.
I've read reviews in various sources. And when I arrived at the hotel, I was very surprised that people who had rested before always wrote in the top five - a good hotel. Nothing personal.
I chose this hotel for the sake of experiment, because I thought that it might not be bad to be in the top three.
The rooms are clean, but the wallpaper is torn off, only one room key is given. Not everything is included, as their room water and shampoo are welcome only. Take everything with you for washing. The safe is paid 20 bucks for 6 days - that's how it was announced. I didn't take it.
The free bar is open only until 22.00
Food- for breakfast, only eggs in different cooking options. Mostly boiled and omelet (peculiar).
Delicious rice, pasta, vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower) are cooked.
Meat- if you're lucky. In the evening, if it's not a fish day, then eat.
But okay, the food. Tables- you come, they are not cleaned for previous visitors. There are few places and therefore you will not be able to choose. As a result, you sit down at an untidy table, with a dirty tablecloth (they are fabric) you put someone's plates on the edge - and you can already finish your meal, but they will not be removed. Appliances are an eternal search for clean spoons and forks.
Basic cleanliness should be present in a hotel of any level.
The location is not along the embankment, which is a plus, since there are many bars and, of course, parties gather in the evening. Marmaris is basically a party town.
The sea is 3 minutes away. We went to the right of the hotel, there are beaches with free sun beds. Even if you don't buy anything, you don't get kicked out.
In general, if you have always rested at least four- do not be fooled by the reviews that the hotel is normal. There are no norms after good service and food.
Everything is learned in comparison)
We had a vacation with a friend in July, just returned, the hotel is quite super for our money, depending on why we went, we wanted to swim to the maximum, go on excursions, not cook, not clean, but just enjoy our vacation! The staff is polite, the room is good, the view from the balcony is wonderful, we ate a lot, the sea is 5 minutes. Through the sidewalk leaving the hotel, the travel agency took 4 excursions to turtle island and the Aegean Islands, the price is twice lower than in the hotel, Rasimchik thank you very much for the unique excursions, for the support and detailed story! I recommend buying excursions here from Rasim, a young, pleasant, good guy, understands Russian well and not only! We were very satisfied and took a lot of positive impressions with us!
The only advantage of the hotel is the distance to the sea!
The whole hotel is full of dirt... everything is dusty, shabby and dirty to put it mildly! And that's just the hotel lobby
Rooms: we got a room where there was nowhere to even open a suitcase, because the room is tiny. There is constant darkness in the room, because there are only wall sconces and those with lamps of an eerie yellow color! 2 sockets for the whole room, one of which is in the bathroom! By the way, the bathroom is the only decent place that was there! The air conditioner was working) and the TV was working, and we were happy about it! The refrigerator was working intermittently, most likely from time to time they turn off the electricity, because they save on everything! Let's say that the room is not the most important thing on vacation, we are generally guided by this when choosing 3 hotels. Because the minimum amount of time is spent in the rooms! But nutrition... it's important! I have never come across such a terrible service, starting from dirty tablecloths, ending with food! Coming to this dining room, to put it mildly, the quest begins: find a table, then sit down at the table and restrain all your angry emotions because of the terribly dirty, greasy, burnt tablecloths, then find a well-washed plate, choose between rice and fries (these are daily side dishes for dinner and lunch, there were pasta twice and in the last day of vegetables), there is nothing to choose from hot 🤷♀️ since there is simply no choice, there is always one thing! For example: soy meat with beans! Once we were lucky and there was grilled chicken, oh, and once there was fish, dry of course, but there was! Then we move on to salads - there is no choice here either! It's always worth a la olivier and just greens with tomatoes and cucumbers! There are bowls with pickles that no one needs and olives that are brought for all 3 meals! There wasn't even enough bread! You are probably interested in desserts and fruits, but there is a failure here too! Sometimes oranges in the morning, nothing at lunch, watermelon in the evening and sometimes melon! Let's say that you have chosen a side dish and a salad and go to your dirty table, but again there is no problem.... If you're lucky, workers will find the fork quickly, but most often you have to wait until they find it, wash it and bring it! After eating, you can also drink) the device with cola, fanta, etc. works for a certain time, then it is covered with a cloth. The glasses into which drinks are poured stink terribly! Wi-Fi is working in the lobby, not in the room! But we found the day when 20 people left at once))) and that day the wifi worked everywhere
The pool is normal, clean, there were enough sun beds for everyone! It is suitable for those who are looking for a hotel on 1st Beregovaya and plan only to spend the night at the hotel.
The staff is not friendly.
Food is the same thing.
Disgusting attitude towards animals that come to the hotel, although other hotels treat animals well.
In short, I do not recommend it
There are many disadvantages, the site does not skip the full description due to censorship
Of the disadvantages: monotonous diet, quickly gets bored. The Internet is very weak. The room stock is worn out and needs to be updated. The staff is tired by the end of the season (we were in October), there is no animation at all. There is absolutely no entertainment for children.
From what I liked:
- Swimming pool. It is clear that he is being watched and cleaned.
- Baklava
- Cheese for breakfast
What I didn't like.
- Room 407, Wi-Fi is not in the room.
- The wallpaper is torn off in some places.
- The bathroom smells like sewage
- The refrigerator is not working.
-Responsiveness of the staff.2 Administrators. 1 day came to one, voiced the problem of a non-working refrigerator, I was told :Okay, we'll fix it tomorrow. Tomorrow came, the same thing was told to me by another administrator. Later, I met the repairman in the elevator, voiced the problem to him, said the same thing. As a result, they wrote off everything for ordering a new supposedly refrigerator and it will be in 2 days . As a result, nothing arrived, we have already left).
- The room was rented to us dirty, dirty mirrors, toilet bowl. The cleaning is superficial, vacuumed, bed linen is changed, the table is wiped.
- The food is very simple.
There is no meat, only soy. We caught a chicken twice for dinner during the week.
Once there was fried mackerel.
Breakfast fried eggs / amlet, half a ladle of butter is poured by the cook (One of the advantages is cooked in front of you)
Dessert.
-Delicious baklava, some kind of dry flour is not fresh and permanent (there are pastries nearby in migros, so there is something to compare it with).
In the middle is a cake in which only the fillings change between two biscuits.
And apparently, purely for the sake of humor, in a small amount of 5-10 pieces, pieces of 2 other cakes were placed separately on another table.
Salads were often sour, olives too (for comparison, I took them again in the same Migros, I thought maybe the kitchen was like this). The vegetables are poorly chopped (the green part is not removed from the tomatoes), the lettuce leaves are bitter.
-Crumbs are constantly on the table, young guys do not have time (or maybe they do not know that besides dishes, you need to shake off crumbs all the time)
- Bar, water and mineral water too. The rest of the feeling is energized
Excellent three, 3 minutes from the sea, cleaning every day, alcohol from 11 to 22h, food is acceptable, air conditioning is not noisy, there is no beach, 10-12 minutes walk to the public, there is a swimming pool, there is no animation, music sometimes plays.
We were satisfied with the rest!
We had a rest in August 2023. In general, it's not too bad, a big plus is the proximity to the sea! I will not go to this hotel a second time.
By food: breakfast is very meager, lunch and dinner are good and tasty. The wifi is working fine, even sometimes it was caught in the room. The only thing that bothered us during the day by our pool was the music of the neighboring hotel and when they also turned on in our hotel, it turned out that the speakers seemed to shout over each other.
Positive:
- Not a bad location. Shops and the sea are just 5 minutes away. To the center of 20 minutes at a leisurely pace.
- Your own, albeit a small pool and sun loungers.
- Everything is included even too much for urban 3-ki.
- Local alcohol in the hotel of acceptable quality.
- Friendly and non-intrusive staff.
Minuses:
- A very shabby and tired hotel.
- Dirty tablecloths and darkened white towels.
- Food is far from a delight, but you won't die of hunger at all. Fortunately there is something to eat around))
- Lack of normal WiFi. This is straight trouble (((
I was vacationing at the Karen Hotel in July 2023. The hotel pulls on its own three, the food is delicious, they often gave meat and chicken, desserts, a lot of vegetables, but there was always a watermelon for dinner from fruits, cakes were always given for afternoon tea. The staff is nice and helpful, but they hardly speak Russian, but there is always an interpreter. The rooms were cleaned almost every day or on request, the rooms are small but cozy, if you're lucky, the balcony windows overlooked the neighboring hotel, where some kind of animation took place. There is no animation in Karen, the hotel itself is small, and the pool is also small.
Also, if you are going on excursions, I would like to advise you to contact the tour desk right in front of the hotel, to a young man named Rasim, he speaks Russian, will tell you everything and show you, the prices for excursions are always pleasant, when buying two excursions, he does another one for free, we went, we really liked everything. Also, you can immediately exchange currency at a good exchange rate. Do not buy excursions from hotel guides from tour operators, they charge prices, and the organization and trip are the same.
In general, the place where the hotel is located is very good, there are two water parks nearby, not far from the center, the beaches are good, there are sun beds with umbrellas, but they are paid, you already need to negotiate a price on the beach. Also, if you want to go to the village of Icmeler, there are always shuttle buses, and from there we generally walked to the hotel along the embankment. The impressions were only positive, I would like to come back here again.
Nice rooms, some with balconies. A medium-sized swimming pool, but there is no private beach.
Unlimited beer at the bar.
A great hotel for a budget holiday.
Nearby there is a large store by the type of Tape /OK
the food is meager, watermelon is only for dinner, there is no fruit at all, coffee is disgusting, the staff is not friendly, music from neighboring hotels screams until 24.00, in this regard, it is not possible to open the balcony, tablecloths in the dining room are put in the morning and until the evening they are all stained, it is disgusting to sit at the table.
We had a vacation with children at the end of June 2022. I liked the hotel very much, the rooms are rather big, the plumbing is all working, hot water without interruptions, excellent water pressure in the shower. She ate very tasty, especially mashed soups, desserts, there are few fruits, but they are there. The sea is very close, we bought excursions and sun beds can be used for free)+ free Wi-fi on the beach. There is a water park nearby, if you buy tickets in advance, it is even cheaper. We went to the market, which is not far from migros (several intersections to the left) , near the mosque, where the non-working water park on Tuesdays seems to be super fruits. We chose the hotel as the most budget, we were very satisfied. Then I regretted that we went for 12 nights, I should have taken more. I advise you
Quite a decent three-piece. Food - no frills, but you will not stay hungry. There is no beach of its own, a small pool is only on site. The numbers are tired, but not critical. In general, if this is an option for you to spend the night, you can safely check in. If you want a "hotel vacation" - then you should look in the category above
There is Wi-Fi, but it does not finish in the room. I have to go out into the corridor.
The pool is small, there is no animation, it seems to be quiet, but there are extremely noisy neighbors and the speaker on the pool is bursting with volume.
The audibility in the rooms is such that the doors can, in principle, not be closed.
The food is monotonous, but edible.
The air conditioner is working, and thank the gods.
In general, a C grade.
A 3* hotel with a large stretch, very large. The hotel itself is not big, there are only 60 rooms, rooms for 3* are tolerable, cleaning every 3 days and changing towels too. Wi-Fi is only in the lobby and it is very, very bad, sometimes you have to go in for 20-30 minutes and very often it throws you off the network, so you do not have to count on stable Internet. The beach is 3-4 minutes from the hotel, the entrance to the sea is very good, the sand with small pebbles, but!!! The hotel does not have its own beach and this was a huge disadvantage for us personally, as we had to walk along the embankment and look for cheaper sun beds. The food in the 2* hotel is not for healthy men, they will have nothing to eat here at all. Chicken in one form only for dinner, no meat for lunch, no fruit, and only rice, pasta and vegetables, beets, cabbage. There have been no carbonated drinks for 4 days, only water and terrible powdered juices. The location of the hotel is good. There are places to walk and go in Marmaris, the hotel is suitable only for overnight stays and no more. For a more comfortable stay, choose another hotel with its own beach, good food and service.
A three-star hotel.
On the plus side: 5 minutes walk to the sea, there is a small swimming pool.
Among the disadvantages: old rooms, monotonous food, simple water is only available in the bar and only until 22:00, Wi-Fi catches very rarely and only in the lobby, there is no beach.
The hotel is not very repulsive, but it also does not cause a desire to return to it.
We have been staying at the hotel since the end of August. I read the reviews before the trip and was a little worried.
We are resting with a small infant - everything is perfect.
The room is nice, small, but clean. View of the pool of the neighboring hotel - in the evening of 21-23 loud music from another hotel - there is a claim only to them))
They clean every day, towels every three days - almost everywhere there. Cleaners are nice women who will always meet you halfway if you ask for something.
The staff is pleasant, helpful, polite.
Regarding WiFi, of course, at dinner, for example, when everyone is in the lobby, he catches badly. But at other times it connects well, calls go through normally on WhatsApp.
Food - expected the worst. For breakfast there are always cucumbers, tomatoes, cheeses, sausages of 3-4 types, eggs, omelet, (you can ask for scrambled eggs), freshly baked buns, cereals, several kinds of jams.
Lunch and dinner: always soup, different for lunch and dinner; always meat, different for lunch and dinner; vegetable salads, French fries, grilled vegetables for dinner, sometimes pasta, then Rice. Delicious cakes for dinner. At 16 o'clock they give cakes and pies, they were once, they got on a delicious chocolate cake.
There was no swimming in the pool; there is an adult and a child.
The bar is open from 11 to 22, there are lemonades to choose from and water with fruit syrups, beer, white, pink and red wines. Everything is not of poor quality.
The room has a new bathroom, air conditioning and a TV. Furniture, carpets and wallpaper are certainly a bit old, but this is not critical)
If you come "with a claim" that you are owed 5* at 3*, I will disappoint you. If you understand what a good three is, go without a doubt.
To the sea on foot, either to the left through the wasteland - 2 minutes, or around the hotel on the right - 3 minutes)) we found the Irish pub the nearest pleasant beach. You buy a drink and lie down at least all day. Nice responsive boys, reasonable prices (+/- as everywhere), clean beach.
Regarding card payments, Sberbank is barely passing, on the beach approx. I did not pass through migros; but the bank of St. Petersburg passed everywhere)
A good 3 ka, for pampered tourists, the rooms are clean, the linen was changed three times a week, the food is delicious and satisfying, there is a private pool.Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel. The staff is polite and attentive. The beach is shared.
We returned from this hotel yesterday. I consider it a very good hotel for 3 stars. Cleaning every day, bed linen was changed 4 or 5 times in 11 nights, the food is fine, you will not stay hungry. The service staff is very young and responsible. The room has a new air conditioner, a new hair dryer, a refrigerator and a TV are also fine, the furniture is old, but tolerable. The main thing is that the mattresses on the beds are very comfortable. The sea nearby is very clean! The rest was a success! Thanks!
