The monument to the Pencil in Gomel is dedicated to the Hero of Socialist Labor, People's Artist of the USSR Mikhail Nikolaevich Rumyantsev (stage name - Pencil), opened on June 1, 2006. The monument is a composition of bronze, which is made on a low pedestal in the natural growth of the artist. The pencil stands on the porch of the Gomel State Circus on a small three-step circular dais in his favorite pose - in a half bow with his right hand raised. He holds a cane in his left hand and wears a hooded hat. A short distance from the Pencil is his favorite black Scotch Terrier. Don't pass by and take a photo as a keepsake...

I like this excellent sculpture, as well as the work of the wonderful Soviet circus artist Mikhail Nikolaevich Rumyantsev - Pencil!
The sculpture of the Blob dog is also great!
I do not know the history of the creation of this sculpture, but a very similar one has been installed in the city of Moscow. They may even be the same.
Many people come up and take pictures with the sculpture.
Children especially like the dog Blob.
